They the studio execs never should have canceled the unique and entertaining Medium. All the the shows they’ve tried to put in it’s place wouldn’t hold the interest of a flea(CHAOS springs to mind)
So often networks remove b+ shows in search of. A+ show. The reality is you can only have a handful of winners by definition. The b+ shows can make up the body of programming. In this quest for all A+ shows you end up with a bunch of Fs and a frustrated audience.

I love both shows…Chuck and Castle. I also love Fringe and Medium. Trauma is also an amazing show — NONE OF THESE SHOWS SHOULD BE CANCELLED. Keep these great shows and give them better time slots. They deserve to continue.

Ray, I’ve never seen Chuck, so in a way we are even. I don’t know if the shows are on opposite each other, but if they are not, then I’d like to make a deal with you: I’ll watch Chuck, once, and you watch Castle, once. I think you’ll enjoy it. And, if they are not in the same timeslot on opposite networks, maybe we can each add something new to our tv viewing schedule!

PLEASE don’t ask me to choose BETWEEN the two shows my husband and I CAN’T MISS WATCHING TOGETHER!!! We don’t spend enough time together as it is due to so many outside things pulling at us…and to take even one hour (time duration of EITHER of the two shows per episode) away from us is taking away a part of our togetherness, and after almost twenty-five years together in marriage, togetherness with each other is almost all we have left. KEEP BOTH SHOWS, network executives, or you’ll lose ANOTHER two viewers (among hundreds of thousands, I’m sure) to cable shows vs. network-sponsored shows. You should know better than to try to do this to people who are sick and tired of nothing but ‘reality’ shows. Intelligent series TV, whether it be crime/mystery/drama or humorous semi-sci-fi in origin, is ALREADY at a premium in today’s mindless network scheduling…what are we as viewers, IRRELEVANT?

Myself and many friends LOVE watching “TRAUMA” ! ! ! ! ! Mon. 3/15 episode was extra good with Rabbit’s flashback about the fire and his Dad’s death. The storeyline was nicely developed. It’s so WONDERFUL to have “TRAUMA” back – - – - – really hope it doesn’t get cancelled. I have never watched “CHUCK” or “CASTLE” ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Deez, I think you misunderstood – I LIKE Dancing With The Stars and American Idol. They offer talented people the opportunity to entertain us. CASTLE entertains us with well-written and well-acted scripts that offer humor, insight into the human psyche, and a good mystery. It doesn’t get better than this!

The “reality” shows that I see no reason for are the things like “The Bachelor” and all those shows with cameras following “real” people around. “Survivor” is just a bunch of self-serving people trying to make someone else fail. I do not understand why those things would be on the air except that they require no scripts and no talented actors, therefore they are really CHEAP for the networks to produce. There is not one person in any of those casts worth thinking about. All you can do is wonder what is wrong with their lives that they would subject themselves to such humiliation.

Shannon, how many times have you seen Castle? Yes, he is a spoiled writer, but Beckett, his wife and mother, all played by wonderful actresses, keep him in line! And that is one of the things that is so fun to see!! The chemistry he has with each of the three females in his life is superb and offers a variety of different views of the character. I have never watched Chuck, I admit, but the fact that even the ads are not enticing enough to make me want to watch it tells me the show could not possibly be as entertaining as CASTLE. (yes, I know I sound close-minded! And yes, you probably feel the same way about Chuck.) But, if you really watch Castle and Beckett in action, you will see why we are all rooting for him to stay on the air.

RE: Fringe – I read that it has been renewed already. So don’t fret yourself over it. Right now, CASTLE is the one still in question. Fox has already stopped production of SAVING GRACE (or, at least says it will not continue for the next season), so unless we can save her, I am already losing one of my favorite shows and the thought of losing Castle is too sad for words.
And now I just heard an ad for Law and Order Criminal Intent that indicates Goren is leaving the show! Granted, Jeff Goldblun will be on, and he’s a fabulous addition (I have always loved his work and this character is a hoot!), but it should be an addition to the team, not a replacement!! Goren is unique abd should not be killed off!

I think Trauma should be saved. I do not watch Castle. I was a huge Medium fan in the beginning but I feel as though it is getting a little dull. If something is cancelled, I think that Medium would be the one. Medium’s original storyline was great but they have gone off of the original story line since then.

I watched Castle the very first time it aired and have watched ever since. Why? because it is a suberb show. I love the actors, plots etc. This show puts a smile on my face. I also enjoy the banter between Becket and Castle. It also has suspense and sometimes the murderer is the last person I would have suspected. I surely hope that this show is kept on the air for years.

I’ve not watched much of “Castle,” but from what I’ve seen, it looks like a good program.
Having said that, I would vote to keep “Chuck” on the air. Here is this seemingly average guy with an average job who is suddenly given a tremendous gift/power. He uses this to benefit a greater good, and stays the same person he was before: A good-hearted person who knows who and what he cares about.
I would like to see an everyday hardworking character – like “Chuck” – stay on the air, and a spoiled writter with more money than sense – like the male lead in “Castle” – go off the air.

Castle for sure. I haven’t even bothered to see an episode of Chuck.
As for the previous castings of votes:
–I agree with Better Off Ted, Medium, Castle, and Fringe (as part of the 6 favorites)
–Better Off Ted is very funny but I didn’t start watching it until its second season & my family and I watch Medium for not Allison (the main character of the show) but her husband Joe. Whoever writes his script is a genius. I’m saddened though, if they leave.
–If Fringe doesn’t come back for a third season, there will be anarchy (at least with the small sci-fi community I know). The plot, although staying on the same course or progression, is in continual flux leaving the audience captivated by the in-expectancies yet to occur. The science is believable (at least most of it), and as a cast they are to the point where they can work together seamlessly as these characters. I can’t believe that Chuck, which is based on this guy that downloaded information into his brain when he shouldn’t have, is being chosen over Fringe, a mind boggling, plot twisting, we can anticipate in the near future science surrounded by the fact that Olivia (the main character) is a catalyst in this ever-changing, creepy environment.

My husband and I enjoy watching Castle every Monday night. It provides a short escape for the mind from all the stresses this economy has brought to our family. Our children and their families are struggling to make ends meet and are down sizing in every way. We wish we were able to do more to help them. Please keep this show on the air to give people a mental respite while dealing with these challenging times.

Castle is a great show. It combines wit with suspense with a tantalizing hint of romance with gorgeous leads. Oh, wow, Nathan Filion. And the men in my family are enjoying looking at Stana, oh, dear, forgot her full name. Anyway the supporting people are great, too. The actress who plays Castle’s mother is wonderful. They all are, and the writing is tight and the stories interesting. I’d say, “the perfect show.”

I stopped watching Survivor last year and some of these reality shows like the bachelor are just inane and I cannot for the life of me figure out why anyone watches them. Castle is a very good show and I watch every week. Chuck – not so much. Fringe is simply the best – so glad it’s been renewed.

I love Castle & like all the actors in it & seldom watch Chuck. I hate most of the reality shows & never watch the likes of Bachelor or Survivor. Reality TV is usually pretty gross.
I don’t watch American Idol but know many who love it & it does showcase new talent who other wise might never get a chance to be seen or heard..so for that reason alone I’d keep it.
I also liked Ugly Betty but hope now that it’s cancelled they get rid of her horrible braces ( I know people who wear braces & none of them look that terrible) soon & let her do the rest of the shows showing her attractive face & not just the last show . She also should have known how to dress by now …. she would have known that her 1st month on the job. I don’t care if she ends up with a man or not. She’s young & working on a career…has time for men later.

By the way, do these network officials realize that we DO have more than just 3 networks now? And that when we change channels because we do like the show with which our favorite was replaced, we may not switch back? I have 900 channels from which to choose. I have found a lot of shows on other networks that I never would have even sought out if Castle were in place for the evening…and somehow, I managed to stay with other channels for the rest of the night. I did NOT watch the “big 4″ networks until the last few years. “Dancing” and “Castle” are what brought me back from the “upstarts” TNT, USA, and Bravo, which all offer original series that are very entertaining.
But now I am losing Saving Grace, too. Did you know that TNT is replacing Saving Grace with an ABC reject? (I guess it was ABC, I never watched Southland so I don’t know where it used to be…) I do NOT understand this weird notion that excellent shows like CASTLE and SAVING GRACE cannot have longevity. Heaven knows that the Law and Order series has not only been around for years, but it had babies! — And, yes, I still watch all of them.
But I need the humor and heart of CASTLE…and the exuberance of Grace…and the wisdom of Earl…If they really do cancel Castle, I’ll give you a list of shows you might enjoy elsewhere…

I agree about the need to drop about 90% of the “reality” shows. However, Dancing With The Stars and American Idol allow people to learn and show off new and improving skills. The competition is based on their own abilities and NOT because they are badmouthing or sabotaging the other competitors. Both shows are very entertaining and give us performances from established stars, in the same way that the old “variety shows” did. And I have recently discovered the fun in watching Gordon Ransey in action. Simon Powell of the kitchen set! There are a few good reality shows on Bravo, too. But most of these so-called reality shows really are just drivel – throw a bunch of people together in some cutthroat game, with little or no script (thus cutting one of the costs of production) and show the world how mindless, petty and stupid Americans can be…right!
CASTLE is a well-written, well-acted show – see all comments above-if it is taken from us, the network will be contributing to the dumbing-down of this country!!!

We watch both shows at our house. Hopefully the “Suits” at ABC and NBC will read and listen to the comments about these shows. Both Chuck and Castle deserve to be renewed for another season. These networks need quality programing to keep viewers watching.

Castle is great because of the cast, the scripts and the crew. Brainless reality shows don’t have any of those things and are therefore cheaper to make. Networks have bean counters who dictate the profit the company needs to make. Get rid of the good shows and keep the brainless drivel. Oh, well. What do they care if they lose their audience? At least it isn’t costing much to fill the timeslot…

That’s why they invented DVRs!! I record as many as 6 shows each night, different channels, different times, then watch them at my leisure, knowing I can see all of them without making difficult choices! I delete most of them, but keep Castle to watch for fun during the day or when nothing else that interests me is on. Works out great-the advertisers have second, third and fourth chances to reach me, and I get to see Castle and Beckett again. And, I have always loved Susan Sullivan, so it’s good to see her, too. Molly Quinn is a beautiful girl and the perfect blend of dutiful and playful daughter. I really want to keep this family in my life for a long time!

I think both shows should be saved, and I voted for Castle only because I’ve been able to watch it regularly. Chuck has always had a bad timeslot against House and Dancing with the Stars. I’m tired of all the shows I like getting the same timeslot!

ABC has not had many good shows the last few years. They finally get two of them and they are ready to cancel.

The chemistry between the two lead actors is fantastic and will keep many people watching for a long time to come

Definitely keep Castle. The characters are all great. This is truly a unique show and it has developed a devoted following. Why would a network cancel what is obviously a hit show?

First off let me start by saying I LOVE CASTLE!!! I have been married almost three years and for my two year anniversary, as one of the many gifts I got, my wonderful husband went to Barnes & Noble and bought me a copy of Castle’s book Heatwave based on Beckett’s life. I loved the book and NEED the show to stay on the air. It is definately one of my favorite shows so I totally hope you people realize what you have in the show Castle and how crushed so many people will be to lose that show. Let me also say how thankful I am that Trauma is back and I hope it stays that way. PLEASE don’t cancel Castle. Its a great show and the actors are wonderful.

OK, let me understand this clearly: This is only a game and our opinions don’t really count for anything?? If the network has already reached its decision, then all we are doiong is wasting our time by telling them what we think? Sorry, guys, that doesn’t seem right…!
If you take a survey or a poll but have no intention of paying attention to the opinions expressed, (as in Fringe and Chuck) then why should we bother? We all feel passionately about CASTLE and want it to continue (I also feel passionately about Saving Grace, but that’s a different network).
Taking surveys when the results won’t make a difference is like knowing you are going to break up with someone but stringing them along while your new relationship is getting started…it’s rude and hurtful. Or a teacher giving a test then giving grades without bothering to check the answers.
You get our hopes up that our feelings and opinions make a difference to you, knowing that the decision has already been made…you are going to rip the hearts out of at least one group of fans and make them feel even more insignificant in the overall scheme of things. Not NICE!!
