This was the only show I watched on ABC Family. Now back to ignoring that channel. It was developing into a really great show. As usual those at the top are out of touch with real life and what people really want. This show crossed generational lines. They didn’t give it enough time.

Ruby and the Rockits was a fun show. It had something for everything. My family loved watching it together (a 10-year old girl, a 15-year boy and two forty-something parents). I hope another network picks it up. It obviously has a following considering the poll numbers.

There is also a poll right on this page that asks the same question should Ruby and the Rockits be canceled and 83% agreed that the show sould not be cancled it at least should have one more season not all the episodes should have the same problems they are trying to come up with new ideas. I would look forward to tuesday nights at 8:30 to watch this show and even when I would miss it I could watch it on my cell it was an all around great show and should not get cancled because it lost some fans. They should at least get one more season mostly to sum up the first season because it ended when Ruby and Jordan were fighting over some girl. At least they could show an nice episode to end it all like Ruby and the family having a happy ending.

I loved Ruby & the Rockits. It was a great show. They are most defiantely making a mistake. Every shows loses viewers due to conflicts of sheduling an such, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be able to show more than 10 episodes, because the steam will pick back up, if it’s a good show. Which Ruby & The Rockits is. What if ABC family had cancelled Gilmore Girls after it’s first, not very high rated season? They would have lost out, big time. Just as they are doing in this situation. Personally, I think 10 things I hate about you, is a cheep ripoff of the great movie made ten years ago. They cast just, doesn’t work as those people. ABC needs to bring Ruby & The Rockits back.

I think that Ruby and the Rockits was an amazing show! They did have a constant story line..Just different ideas every week! The storyline is that Ruby is living a “rising star” life with her dad’s brother while her dad is staying in the showbiz life. The constant flow of the show cant be the same thing every week! Pretend this is real life situation, everything everyday wouldnt be the same..Different things would be happening in your life and household and that’s what they were doing for Ruby and the Rockits..They were trying to make it like a typical family household life. In a typical family household life, you wont be seeing the SAME EXACT things happening everyday now, would you? 10 Things I Hate About You seemed like a very good show but I just couldnt get my attention caught up into..maybe just because I couldn’t connect myself and my life with the show..But, with Ruby a& the Rockits, I was definately able to connect myslef and my own public and personal life to the show! I know that right now my own dad is working into showbiz and I wouldnt be able to really live with him even though right now I’m in the making of trying to be an uprising star. This is what I mean by being able to connect with the show.

I think the show has potential. Give them another season to figure it out. I know I looked forward to watching it every week because I knew it would get better and towards the last episodes it was on its way. The cast is good and the writing is good; though it could use improvement. It’s not my favorite new show, but I like it and would be a little sad to see it go before it was given a real chance.

They needed to cancel RUBY AND THE ROCKITS it, they couldn’t come up with a good constant story line. I love 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU, and maybe they can extend it to an hour!
RUBY was boring, there wasn’t any flow of the the story line, it was downright boring after awhile.

Hey, wait a minute,
This was an entertaining show that My 13 year old son, myself and husband all looked forward to. I can’t even think of another show that we all could agree on. As a mother and former David lover from 1971-72, the show gave me something fun to watch. My son, 13 now 14 loved the beautiful Alexa, eyes fixed on her every move with husband even laughing along. I wish ABC would consider a second go at the show. Tampa will miss seeing David–great concert on July 3rd by the way and Miss Vega was so sweet. My son will be disappointed and there went our Tuesday family fun time.

Come on people,Ruby and the rockits rocked it was a show my sisters and i could watch and jordon was so cute and the little brother ben was funny.Why don’t they give it a chance for kids and teens like us,it was a show that even my parents liked and it was a show that we liked rubys clothes and the parents were funny .cancelling the show after a few episodes whats up with that.Maybe the kids should run the network we would make better choices.Lets all come together and write letters my mom did in the seventies.With so many shows out there NOT for kids it was good to see one for us.

Okay, I just have one thing to say:
What is up with ABC Family cancelling all the good shows? They made a huge mistake in cancelling Ruby and the Rockits. My friends and I all love it, and are extremely upset. I think they should at least do one more season and then see how many viewers they get, and then take it from there. I think most of the problem is either the time slot or they simply didn’t promote it enough. I also think if they put the show up again, more people would watch it, knowing it could be cancelled again.

A huge mistake. I am 56 years old and I love the show. Have been a fan of Cassidy brothers for years. Great music and clean fun. What is wrong with ABC Family. I did not even know it was cancelled until today. I was wondering why it wasn’t on last few weeks. Why would you cancel best new show on your network? Does ABC Family really care about family shows or just money. I think I will only watch this channel when they realize what a mistake they made and bring Ruby back. I am heartbroken over this. What can we do.

SO this is why my family rarely watches any ABC channel. They keep on shows that glorify Sex and immorality, but get rid of shows that might actually teach us something.
I feel like they canceled it because of all the complaints about the one episode that had a Homosexual man in it. If they had never done that episode they might be still be OK.
ABC, including ABC family has a tendency to push the immorality envelope wherever possible.

We want wholesome and we will come back. Until they can get back to being FAMILY focused they will continue to lose.

ABC Family definitely made a mistake, and I hope the realize it soon and put this show back on air. I love this show! It’s so fun, and I really wanted to see what happened between Jordan and Ruby! I wanted to know whether Jordan was going to give it up and find someone else, or if something was going to happen. I admit, liking your cousin was a bit iffy for me at the beginning, but I have watched and read enough Jane Austen novels to not be too freaked out about it, and after about the end of the first episode, I found myself rooting for Jordan. This is a terrible, terrible mistake. If any show needs to be cut from ABC Family, it should be 10 Things I Hate About You, which was renewed for 10 more episodes. I can’t STAND Bianca, even though I absolutely loved Cat(Kat?) and Cameron.

I have been following this show on the internet because it has not come to the shores of Australia. Now come on! If I’m prepared to tune in all the way from Down Under, this show must have something? Actually, in my humble opinion, it has lots of things, not to mention the combined talents of the two Mr Cassidys! The story line was progressive and entertaining and I was interested to see how this family would evolve.

At first I wasn’t quite interested in watching it when the advertising came on because I am normally into Dramas (such as Lincoln Heights) but I watched it because I needed to fill that spot until a show I watch came on at 9. But as I watched I realized that this show was funny and refreashing from the shows I normally watch. So I was beside myself when I learned of the cancelation!

Big mistake & bigger disappointment. Give the show a chance! We are 49 & 50, and initially tuned in for the Cassidy nostalgia, but the characters were developing nicely, and we looked forward to seeing what was to happen. We don’t watch much “regular” TV, because once we do and become interested or fans, a show is cancelled. (Can you say “Starter Wife”?) Thought this one would be safe, at least for more than 10 episodes.
C’MON!!! Give the show a chance to do its thing. And how about just a little promotion?…

This is the first time our entire family has looked forword to watching a show that made us all laugh together. The cast did a wonderful Job and all deserve an emmy. The show was picked up so fast after Shaun and David came up with the Idea for the show. I know they had a very short time to put these together .They did an outstanding Job. Can you imagine if they had until next season what they could come up with? Abc is throwing away a masterpiece of a family show. We don’t have near enough wholesome familiy show to watch. Im tired of the same old stuff that is on these days that promote underaged sex, are violent,. blood, and borderline pornographic.I feel sorry for whoever made the final decision on this show being cancelled will if another network picks it up. It would make a great Friday night show like we had when we were kids.

ABC Family made a huge mistake in not renewing Ruby and the Rockits. This was a wholesome family show that had values, something that is sadly missing in many shows today.

I originally watched it because of David Cassidy but then the show itself kept me engaged. There are not many shows that both adults and children can watch and both groups be comfortable with the contents. Ruby and the Rockits was such a show.
I am sad that this show is over and hope that ABC Family would reconsider and give it another 10 episodes.

I was so excited to see David Cassidy return to TV along with his siblings…this show is VERY entertaining, and my husband & I watched it every week. ABC family (hence the word family) is owned by Disney. I thought Disney was about good family shows my wife and I have our shows geared for adults but we enjoy watching good clean family shows with our kids. Disney needs to step in to keep it’s image up. Ruby is a good show I explain who the Cassidy’s are from when I was young and now to see them on tv and share some history and watch actors and singers with my kids I use to watch.
