i work nights so just got in about 4am and was waiting for my pc to boot up and xbox as i dont watch tv **** but only thing was on ….pilot of runaway ..for me to be even bothered to write this is unbielievable best thing to get me hooked in ten minutes i am in the uk so dont know nothing about this show …i know when things ae good i can tell you the next top hit … if you want to know that will be a girl from europe called inna ….get this show back uk audience will love it …

OMG I loved this show…it had a great theme to it and the cast was great…you need to give people more of a chance to start to watch it, the show was only on fo 3 weeks. I went on Donnie Wahlberg’s website and per him on 1/2/07 he said that they might finish the episodes for Runaway as a mini series and then release the Dvd.

Come on. The show was not at all interesting. Three airings was two too many. And yes, skipping on Everwood for Runaway…..what a great call there. Out of shame, the execs should just shutdown their plans for the CW completely and just let Smallville and Supernatural (maybe 7th Heaven, but that’s a stretch too) go to another network – one that would care and help these shows. Then those same execs should all resign and return whatever money they were paid before they create history that no one would dare repeat. Hard to believe they could fail any more miserably though…

what is going on these days? this show was one of my favorites! there are not many good shows now days. the reality, “i can be a model” and cheesy girls-fights over boy drama shows are annoying. RUNAWAY was original and fresh! this show actually caught my attention. 3 shows wasn’t enough of a try. it’s like they couldn’t get the desired result in 2 minutes and gave up. people just don’t care about their shows like they used to.

I can’t believe that this show got taken off the air. I have to agree with almost everything that has been said about the show. First, the air times were so messed up,changing it from one time to another. Then you think that the next top model is going to bring you good ratings? And I go so into the show, that now I want to know what was going to happen. Like someone said before me, this show really kept you on the edge of your seat,wondering how it was going to work out. The CW definately did not give this show a chance. I hope someone picks it up.

i lovee the show runaway, why did they have to take it off? and then they took my other favorite show everwood away and now the re-runs are on ABC family. but i want new episodes for everwoodd and i want runaway to come back. they should at least show the last 4 episodes that havent been out to the public yet. i think that more people would have watched it if they just gave it a little more time, or at least finished out the season and not have stopped it in the middle. that is what really upsets me.

I loved the show Runaway. I looked for it every week it wasnt until recently I found out that it had been cancelled. I was very dissapointed. You should put it back on the air and keep filming. It was a good show that kept you wondering until next week. Well, for the short time it was on. Put it back on!!!!

I rarely watch any tv shows and I couldnt wait for the next show each week. It should be moved to a monday or Tuesday night. A lot of people have church on Sundays and Wednesday or Thursday. This was a really bad move. Hopefully it will be reconsidered.

I was utterly disappointed after I heard of the cancellation.
Actually, I thought it was a decent show overall.
I was pretty confused when they changed the schedule around though, so obviously that must’ve confused many other viewers, especially those who don’t subscribe to TV magazines or have the internet.
(sigh) I guess I’ll just have to live off of watching Veronica Mars & Supernatural..

I was watching ANTM yesterday and they said that the prettiest model (the middle eastrem woman) had a wieght problem, i stopped watching the show, i think its ridiculas… I’m just gunna stop watching the CW all together, its such a stupid channel.

This is crazy, Runaway was a good show. In time I believe that it would have built a fan base. Has anyone ever thought that the reason these new shows have a hard time building fans is due to the fact that as soon as you get into it, IT’S CANCELLED. Why get attached to something that isn’t going to last that long. Newsflash, everyone does not think that watching dizzy ass model wannabees having cat fights is a good evening of tv watching.

You guys suck!! If you keep on changing the times and days to air the show, how the hell do you expect good rating?? You gave the show like a week tops then you decided to change it around, oh and while you did that who ever you paid to advertise the show for you didn’t do a good job, they had it advertised on Mondays (when the show wasn’t airing that day) others said it was on Sunday when you had moved the show again. Bottom line, no one ever advertised it with the right time or day. Who was the genius that said “cancel this show” based on low ratings when the show has clearly been moved various times and every one advertising it wrong.. serious!!! Come on guy it doesn’t take a rocket scientist. Leave the show on. Is the only thing I watch. Runaway is the greatest show. The actors are not typical, they are great!! Really get it straight and soon.

Like so many other I was just beginning to get in to ‘Runaway’. The networks don’t seem to have any staying power or loyalty. They didn’t give the show a fair chance. ‘Mash’ didn’t take off until later and so many others.

Thought a new network, the CW, would be different . . .nothing changes. Give ‘Runaway’ a fighting chance.

I really enjoyed the show. Only if you guys wouldn’t screw around with the airing time maybe people can get into it. It’s nice to see shows on TV that are not about a TV crew following you around 24 hours a day. Please bring it back I’m sure I’m not the only one that wouldn’t mind seeing what happens.

I can not believe they took this show off. They have so many more shows worthy of cancellation and they take Runaway off. What they moved it to Sunday nights and than cancel it after 2 weeks. It took me one week alone to find out they even changed the night on it. What they heck is wrong with these people ! That show was awsome and I agree with one of the viewers who said that the show kept you wanting more.

I think they should have given Runaway on the air a little longer. Look at the hit show Party Of Five. I remember they wanted to take that show off the air because it was not doing good at first and than after giving it a chance, it turned out to be a hit. But man, you can’t air 3 shows and extpect it to be a hit. People need a chance to tune in. I am sorry but I am very disappointed in this network and all involved in cancelling, what is, in my oppinion, an awsome show !

I hear Dustin Milligan was voted “Top 10 Actors to Watch” (Variety I think) great news. The show’s ratings should go through the roof with all those “love sick” teeny boppers looking for him. OOPS I forgot, CW wanted an “Instant Success” and obviously didn’t think Darren Star (Ed too) or Sony knew what they were doing, and couldn’t wait for the “word” to get around. Looks like the fans aren’t the only losers.

Gerry the sad truth is that CW’s target market is 18-45 year olds. So they are not really interested in young viewers (unless of course there was millions of them, after all this is Hollywood) and are most likely unsympathetic to your son’s disappointment. The people that liked the show most seemed to be viewers less then 18 and boomers (>40) exactly what they didn’t want. Since they weren’t after that crowd, advertising (if there was any) was not effective in drawing an audience.

P.S. Apparently they did shoot until Oct 20th which means they finished production 108 (End Game). Whether fans will ever get to see them, who knows. Hopefully one of the cast will become so famous, the reels will be dusted off for nostalgic reasons.

I am totally dissapointed that this show was cancelled. I am so sick of all the reality shows and really got into this show. maybe if you hadn’t keep changing the day it was on, then people would of been able to watch it. And if you are going to end something then do it right, don’t leave things not finished. I have had so many shows that I got into then, they were cancelled. It really makes you not want to watch a new show,because the odds are that it is going to be cancelled.

I am really bothered by this. Every week it seemed to change to a different day. My 15 year-old son and I really enjoyed watching it together (he was even more disappointed by the news than I was). If they could have just kept it on the same day, people would have definitely come around to it.

My daughter was in “There’s No Place Like Home” and “End Game” them in addition to “Homecoming” which she was all excited about seeing last night. Very disappointed they cancelled the show. They were still filming “End Game” (day 6 of on Wednesday (Oct 18th) when the news hit the set at about noon. Even so they didn’t release my daughter until about 1030PM after a 13 hour day. However by the end of the day most of the crew had already arranged new “gigs” so I don’t know if they completed the last to days of filming. You would think if they were 6/8ths into it they would finish.
Very unfortunate, because the cast worked very hard and long hours to deliver a good show.
Being around the set I was privy to what they had done with some of the upcoming episodes and things where looking up. I think CW panicked when the pilot received poor ratings and when they changed nights TV Guide had the show listed on Tuesdays then corrected it to Mondays (instead of Sundays) and AOL had the show listed on Mondays well after the change. You can read in allot of blogs, fans are totally confused.
Oh well, maybe Sony will find a buyer.

I think the decision to cancel ‘Runaway’ is just another sign that network executives are idiots and that they think all the rest of us are idiots as well.

Replacing a show that has good writing, good acting, an interesting and original premise, and something to say about the importance of family with “America’s Next Top Model”, or whatever it’s called, is insulting. No wonder the audience for network TV is shrinking like a wool sweater in a clothes dryer…who wants to watch such drivel? You’d think the folks at CW, the survivors of the meltdown of what used to be two networks, would wake up. Sadly, they haven’t.

Shows need to be given an opportunity to find an audience. Last year’s Emmy winner, ‘24′, is a case in point. The ratings on the initial episodes weren’t great and there was serious doubt the show would go beyond the original 13 episodes. While that year was just as good, dramatically, as every year that followed (and some would say it was the best season of all), it was a modest success, not a barn burner. Five seasons later, and it’s now recognized as a show that has changed the medium itself, including the financials of TV production. Yet if the network had pulled the plug on ‘24′, none of that would have happened.

If the networks are puzzled about why people are spending their limited leisure time watching old movies and old TV shows, or playing video or computer games, they need look no further than the nearest mirror. I don’t waste my time on dreck. CW just lost another viewer.
