A group of students make their way through the fictional Bayside High School in Pacific Palisades, California.
Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) is the group’s unofficial leader and a charming schemer. Zack’s longtime best friends are fashionable Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies), brainy Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley), and nerdy Samuel “Screech” Powers (Dustin Diamond). Jock A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) is a sometime friend and sometime rival for the affections of cheerleader Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani-Amber Thiessen).
Attempting to keep the students in line is Bayside’s nice-guy principal, Richard Belding (Dennis Haskins).
The series spun-off two shows. Saved by the Bell: The College Years follows many of the original cast to college and Saved by the Bell: The New Class features a new group of Bayside students, Principal Belding, and Screech as Belding’s assistant.
