Scandal: Season Two Ratings

ABC TV show Scandal ratingsIn its first season, Scandal drew mediocre ratings and was nearly cancelled. ABC likely brought it back because they need new dramas and are hoping that the ratings would improve in season two. Will they be glad that they took the risk? Time will tell.

The second season of Scandal typically airs Thursday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The cast includes Kerry Washington, Bellamy Young, Columbus Short, Darby Stanchfield, Guillermo Diaz, Jeff Perry, Joshua Malina, Katie Lowes, and Tony Goldwyn.

Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if Scandal is going to be cancelled or renewed for a second season.

Final season averages: 2.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.48 million total viewers.

I can’t stand this show anymore! Let her get a man who isn’t married!! I’m not going to DVR or watch this show again until they get a better plot other than her being a home-wrecking whore!!

@ Mandy Hmm She is not a home wrecker when First Lady is basically allowing Olivia to slept with President. Go back and look at episode 7 of season 1. She knew what was going on and was okay with it. She was basically mad Olivia left the WH and had stop sleeping with the President.

Scandal is a really good show and needs to get promoted better. 666 and Nashville had about 20 million times better promotion then Scandal ever had.

This is a vacuous soap masquerading as a political thriller. It has nothing to say, reminds me of tabloid porn. Kerry Washington is great when she doesn’t speak, when she does she snarls her way through the ridiculously fast paced dialogue. Shonda Rhimes has talent, why doesn’t she write something with substance?

I really love this show and its my fav. I dont watch any other series so Scandal is the only show i watch and its very good. I hope that they renewed for third season. I love Olivia and Fitz relationship. They are the best and i love all the storys. I have told all my friends to watch it and they all love it and they are hooked to it like me. :) I dont think that they talk to fast. I love this show please renewed for third season. I am from Denmark and we love this show.

I hope they don’t get cancelled. It is a really good show. They talk fast because that job is fast paced. I understand everything just fine.

The fast-talk is very annoying. I don’t know the point they are trying to make with the fast- talk because it is not the way people talk. In real life if you encountered somebody who talked like that you would wonder what their problem was. Other that that its an EXCELLENT SHOW and would like to see it continue.

In that type of job and even law firms people talk fast like that especially when it is a very important case that has to get done. The dialogue is fine IMO.

I like scandal. It is my favorite show. I too, think the relationship between Olivia and the president should be front and center. They are the two best characters so keep them coming and keep them together. I also agree that the dialogue at times is too fast to follow. Overall, great show, please renew it for a third season!

I agree with several of the other comments. Why, why, why do the actors have to talk so fast!! Its maddening! I find myself scrolling back (I record it) just to check to hear what they’ve said!! Good show, but stop the Speed talking!! Geez!

I love this show only because of Fitz and Olivia. The writing should solely focus on the relationship between them, and everything else an afterthought. I think Shonda Rhimes is a good premise writer, but she makes everything so campy, and irritating after awhile, like Grey’s Anatonomy. Like, I loved Meridith and McDreamy, but after awhile, it wasn’t interesting to watch , with the silly twists and turns. Just focus on the development of the stories, and stop trying to make unnecessary changes. like you see that the fans, love olivia and fitz together, or scenes together, focus more on that. She needs to focus more on what the fans want to see, and not about writing about the other stuff.I can careless about the other characters and cases of the week.
