The Sense8 TV show has been cancelled. There will be no season three of the Netflix sci-fi drama from Lana Wachowski, Lilly Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski.
A Netflix TV series, Sense8 stars Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Brian J. Smith, Freema Agyeman, Terrence Mann, Anupam Kher, Naveen Andrews, and Daryl Hannah. The series follows eight people from around the world, who share a birthdate as well as a psychic connection.
Earlier this week, actor Brian J. Smith telegraphed a Sense8 cancellation could be looming, when he encourages fans on Twitter to “make some noise.”
This might be a good time to start making some noise. https://t.co/N08EgzD8E4

Today, Netflix released a statement about ending its Sense8 TV series. Check it out (via Deadline):
“After 23 episodes, 16 cities and 13 countries, the story of the Sense8 cluster is coming to an end,” Netflix VP original content Cindy Holland said in a statement. “It is everything we and the fans dreamed it would be: bold, emotional, stunning, kick ass, and outright unforgettable. Never has there been a more truly global show with an equally diverse and international cast and crew, which is only mirrored by the connected community of deeply passionate fans all around the world. We thank Lana, Lilly, Joe and Grant (Hill) for their vision, and the entire cast and crew for their craftsmanship and commitment.”
After the actors’ contracts lapsed, a couple of months ago Netflix reportedly reached out the core cast for a third season, but apparently, things didn’t work out. The second season of Sense8 dropped to Netflix on May 5, 2017, nearly two years after the series first premiered.
What do you think? Have you watched the first two seasons of Sense8? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a third season on Netflix? Let us know below.
Please continue this amazing series!
Sense 8 was one of my all time favorite TV series. It was highly creative, incredibly suspenseful, well written and had a great story line. And it had way more love in it than most shows of it’s genre. I’m so disappointed it’s not coming back for a 3rd and more seasons. Supreme bummer.
Would you please bring back Sense8 for a third season.
If the sense 8 is gone so is my netflix
I need this Movie +++
Keep Sense 8! One of the better shows on Netflix.
I just came across the show. I have had Netflix for some time, and I believe the reason why they didn’t get enough viewers is due in part to lack of advertising. I’m sure some other network will pick it up and see it’s worth.
KEEP it…oone of the most original and engaging shows of the genre in recent history…I thought Netflix was better than the typical “media” companies…perhaps I was giving them more credit than they are due! 🙁
DON’T CANCEL..!? Do you WANT to keep DEDICATED WATCHERS… or..?
Please reconsider this show has many cult followers DON’T CANCEL!!!
i never watch TV and this show stole me away. simply heartbreaking to not get to journey on with the characters and the directors vision. so sad
The show is incredible sci-fi! The characters seem real, the plot compelling, and the notion of a
Sub species (homo sensorium) is intriguing, to
Say the least. Please reconsider the cancellation and consider a 3rd season for huge fans like me. Thank you.
Bring it back! Bring it back! Sense8 is one of the best shows on Netflix! All of the storylines are about real-life modern- day situations. I love watching how all of them help each other and the story is just getting great! I want to see the war between us and them. You cant deprive people of seeing the good guys win. Its very cruel to get our hopes up and make an awesome show just to cancel it when there is so much going on. Way to leave us hanging!
They are releasing a 2 hour conclusion next year (2018).
This show was so cool. What a crime it’s been cancelled. I loved the diversity.
Disgusting that this show got cancelled, if they aren’t killing the lesbian couples of tv they are killing the whole show. Netflix should be ashamed, there is a lot worse shows deserving of cancellation than this.
