Sherlock: Season Four and Special for BBC One Series

Sherlock season 4Sherlock is coming back next year. The Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman series — which is produced for BBC One and airs here on PBS — will return for a special in 2015. That will be followed by a fourth season of three episodes.

Shooting on the Sherlock special will commence in January and filming of the episodes will begin later in the year.

The renewal was teased yesterday along with the possible return of Sherlock Holmes’ arch-nemesis, Jim Moriarty (Andrew Scott).

    ok…getting to rarified for me….THREE episodes? Just not enough. I’ll watch but I’ll be sulking…

    So glad to hear Sherlock will be back. Love everything about the show. But, boo-hoo, only 3 episodes? That’s just a tease……

    Sherlock is the best show that’s ever been on tv! It has everything – fabulous stories, clever and intelligent writing, fantastically talented actors, gorgeous photography and filming, beautiful soundtrack. Why can’t all tv be this good?
