I live in England and six degrees has been aired for the last six weeks we truly love the show and believe that it should it was one of the most original tv shows I have watched. In England I record the show and introduced it to my sister she watches the same episode again and again. I warm to all characters and the twists are fantastic. My fianc?e and I watches it in bed and look forward to next weeks show with eager anticipation. Well done to all who produced something so special. Michael

This show was great! The demographic that this show really appeals to doesn’t normally watch TV on a friday night. There are plenty of nights other than friday that have nothing but crappy tv. Tuesday would be a great night to get this show back on. Give it a chance ABC. Get those morons who get paid to know what viewers are looking for to do a better job. And ABC wonders why they aren’t the top network!

I use to work for Nielsen TV Ratings…and I can tell you first hand that network executives only care about $$$. There are only a limited amount of households that are equipped w/a ratings detector, therefore, it is NOT ACCURATE to say that ONLY 4.3 million people watched on a particular Friday night. ABC can only calculate the homes that have the Nieslen ratings device and from that they are making an educated guess…not factual numbers of tv audiences as a whole! And, what was ABC thinking about airing it in that time slot???? I personally wrote to ABC, regarding the cancellation of Six Degrees, and all I got in return was a default email saying “we cannot respond at this time”. If fans continue to pour in their support for Six Degrees, another network might pick it up. In the event that this does occur, we (the public) will not know until the fall (just a tid bit I learned from working in television). I am so very disappointed!!! I looked forward to the show..then it disappeared!! I started trying to find updated info on ABC.com, but no insite was ever posted as to whether the series was cancelled or not…I did not ever see much advertisement for this series either. My friends even told me they had never heard of it…of course I turned them on to watching it via the ABC.com web-site. This show is better than Grey’s Anatomy and I am a big fan of that show. What an awesome cast on this show…I can only hope that another network will have sense enough to pick up this series!!!

I ‘accidentally’ found Six Degrees was back by just surfing the channels one Friday night. How did ABC expect the show ratings to be favorable when it didn’t even give the public any idea it was back. The Starter Wife received enormous promotion before airing. there was never even any indication 6 Degrees that it was being re-aired and then after 3 episodes, it was gone. ABC must get a grip on their demographics and the sophisticated crowd with some sense of decorum, taste, maturity and stimulation they should be catering to instead of trying to feed us reality TV shows and crap which emphasizes the banal and undignified state of affairs being fed brainless Americans who can sit and watch just about any garbage instead of exercising their mind and which sadly has embarassingly brought this country to its knees. Six Degrees had a lot of promise and its co-star, NYC, made it an even better show to watch. Millions of people flock to NYC from the rest of the US and the world – doesn’t that give ABC an indication of what people have on their wish list or….is the station being run by a bunch of inexperienced adolescents with severe ADD and can’t piece together how “6 Degrees” works or even what it means….

I am so sad that Six Degrees is cancelled. I really, really liked the show. The network did not promote the show and they moved it to Friday for 2 nights. I can’t believe they would make a judgement on the show after airing the show twice. It was one of the best shows on their network. It was worth the time to sit down and watch. I really want another network to pick up the show. It is really a loss.

I’m shocked that Six Degrees was taken off the air. This show had an incredible cast and a good story line. The writers did a great job. There are so many bad shows on TV that somehow get awarded prime time slots and second/third seasons.

I’ve really lost respect for television. Good shows get bad time slots, and the bad reality shows get it all.

Hopefully the cast and writers know that there were people out there who appreciated this show. It was actually intellectually stimulating. ABC just lost a loyal audience with this decision.

I am so disheartened by ABC’s lack of faith in 6 degrees. First, it was a big mistake moving it to Friday’s. The demographic of the show spans an age group that still finds going out on Friday nights fun. Why put a show that needs a fan base following on a Friday night? You need to “hook” that crowd during the work week. How about Tuesday’s before Boston Legal? 6 Degrees is brilliantly shot cinematography-wise. The way NYC was captured in the scenes was poetic, truly. Anyone who loves NYC must’ve have identified with this. The characters, the plot and the relationships had such great dynamic. It was a pleasure to watch. I would love to see the remaining filmed episodes or better yet, another chance for the show from ABC.

I agree with many others here…Six Degrees was a great show and Men in Trees is crap! How were people supposed to relate to the show when it was briefly brought back, if they hadn’t seen it from the beginning? That’s why the audience didn’t grow. Why are T.V. execs so stupid?! They should have aired the original episodes again so new audience members could catch up. And what would it cost them to air the remaining episodes that are already in the can?…they could show them at 3am and anyone with a TiVo could pick it up.

I am so p*ssed that you guys took Six Degrees off the air!! I was just getting into it and it was just getting to the part in the story where the characters lives began to intertwine. Not to mention I have been comepletely in love with Jay Hernandez since “Crazy/Beautiful” and I was looking forward to seeing him once a week!! You didn’t even advertise when it was coming back on and of course I missed it! You take great shows like that off and you keep crap like “Men in Trees” on?? Give me a break!!!

Dear God here we go again, I swear I am going to boycott tv all together, every show on any network I have watched in the last 4 seasons has been cancled, and left all of the viewers with a hundred loose ends… I am sick over this, why don’t you try sticking the show on Monday night or on Sundays after Desperate Housewives??? This show was really good imo and then it vanished, I was exstatic to learn it was coming back and just really angry to learn that ABC pulled it after 2wks and thought wife swap of all show’s was better then 6degrees….HELLO??? What were they thinking? On another note, even if the fan base isn’t but a few million people, I would think that would be atleast enough for a friday night to unfold the rest of the story before torturing us with any more dysfunctional families.

DOES ANYONE AT ABC EVEN READ THIS? The people over there, if there are people over there, obviously care nothing about what an important sector of their viewership want to watch: complex plots, quality acting, intriguing, real stories in the most exciting city in the world, NYC. It’s frustrating to see how many people agree with me in these comments, and to think that the hicks over at ABC would rather pick their nose and air another Wife Swap, which PS, after one or two episodes, they were ALL THE SAME, a wife in a family that is the opposite of her own. Wow. ABC is the worst network. I used to work in Promotions for CBS and they did something really innovative: sought viewer feedback and tried to cater to their audiences. SIX DEGREES was the only good show ever on. Of course if it’s aired at a late slot, 10-11pm on a Thursday night, people force themselves to turn off the TV after Grays Anatomy, which already had a following. Since Six Degrees was NEVER ADVERTISED, and advertising is how television get publicized these days (fancy that!), no one realized it was worth stay8ing tuned. No promotions=they were asking for failure! And it was the caliber of such television great classics as E.R., Seinfeld, Friends, Sex and the City, etc, decade-airing shows with big screen caliber writing. Wife Swap is crap for white trailer trash who want to melt their brains they never use anyway. They probably think it’s live or something, or they’re doing crack while watching it, I don’t know what keeps them watching it, because that show is a waste of 5 minutes let alone a waste of 30. And I’m not even going to go into the fact that besides the absense of PROMOTIONS, ABC then mysteriously stops airing it for FIVE MONTHS and suddenly, again without any ads I saw at least, drops it in when NO ONE IS WATCHING TV on Friday nights???? I graduated from Berkeley with a BA in Mass COmmunications and there’s something really complex I took from one of my classes: how ratings work. If no one is watching TV at that time, then guess what ABC, the ratings won’t be good. SO DONT SHOW IT WHEN MOST OF AMERICA IS RELAXING AFTER THE WEEKS WORK, OUT TO DINNER, OUT AT BARS, ON WEEKEND TRIPS, WHATEVER they are doing on Friday nights everyone knows it’s the absolute worst time slot a TV show can air at. You could show reruns of the Bachelor Season with the dumbass curly haired comedian Bob Schmuckface pudgy idiot whatever…or an equally unmemorable piece of crap…on any time but Friday and it would at least get decent ratings because people are watching anyway. Dont air it late after a huge primetime hit, people turn off the TV sometimes because they have a life and they were watching TV before Grays too, people cant just keep watching whenever. Also you could air a huge hit show like the Seinfeld finale back when that came out, on a Friday night would get LOW ratings too! You guys set up 6 Degrees for failure. I hope you guys get eaten by the other big two networks, at least those people got education beyond elementary school and they know that to be successful you have to cater to your market and LISTEN to viewer comments. ABC never gave Six Degrees a chance. First you played with the time slot so people were not able to keep up with it. Then you pulled the show and put it back on with no fan fare, which meant that many old fans and many new fans had no knowledge the show was returning. ABC needs to replace the executives who make decisions to pull shows. I hope ABC Family is not controlled by the same people. How could you pull a show like Six Degrees and keep your current boring line-up. Yeah, even Lost is boring this season. Why didn’t you pull that one?

I waited for 5 months for the return of 6 degrees, only to get excited about it’s return and have it yanked AGAIN. Get a gripe ABC. Let a series run it’s course. 2 weeks is not long enough to base a shows survival on. Some people might not have been aware it had returned. I love this show and think it has real story lines that every day people can relate to. At least give us viewers the last remaining episodes to watch online. (Even FOX was nice enough to do that for Vanished) It’s going to take some real signs of promise for me to trust any new shows that ABC has in store. After all, why get attached to a show that’s not going to get a chance past 4 shows anyway. That’s a complete waste of my time.

I think the network should give the show more time. It really wasn’t given enough time for viewers to latch on to it. When it came back after about 5 months, the show time changed, so it really didn’t give the fans a chance to find it. Frankly, if I wasn’t looking for it, I most likely wouldn’t of found it on a Friday night. So, PLEASE bring it back!!!!

Pulling 2 great shows – 6 degrees and the nine and leaving on that annd heche travistey about trees or something and that whiney vehicle for actors who used to be famous but now have nowhere else to go – or as someone i know calls it Studio 60 for the actors who coudlnt get on studio 60 (BOTH SUC btw). BBoring brothers and sister stayas to torture us on sundayhs while this great shows goes away. Why not give 6 degrees a real chance and put iton on Sunday and move stupid ally the heel show to friday.

1. THE SHOW WAS NOT GIVEN THE PROPER PROMOTION. WE HAVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS SEASON TO START AND NOW YOU GO PULL IT AGAIN.

Bad news for Bridget Moynihan, once again! First she loses Tom Brady to Gisele Bundchen and now her TV show gets canceled. Well, at least she has his baby to rock to sleep at night. I guess that’s karma for trying to trap a man into marrying you!
