I understand Michael Rosenbaum for leaving smallville to pursue other projects and because he was done playing Lex but as Chrissy from Ohio mentions below, he has an obligation to the show in its final season, the show is what made him famous !! I just finished watching the new episode and little lex is still living with Tess and growing unnaturally fast. I am hoping this boy will grow up soon and since he will not be affected by the meteor shower ( like the other Lex ), he will not lose his hair and we will get to see Michael Rosenbaum return as Lex Luther with his natural hair !! Michael doesn’t need to shave his hair, no need for a bald cap so problem solved ! I am certain that this is the reason the little Lex storyline exists !!

smallville should never end i cant believe people are concidering it!!!! lex shouldnt have been cut though it made the show alot less interesting, lana was such a bawler and im glad lois replaced her. smallville is very dramatic entergetic and full of energy if they stop making it i dont know what i will watch on tv.

I first must say smallville was my favorite show I own the complete box set. With that said the show has gone in a very different direction that its creators had planned and although it sadens me to say it the show has run its course. The fact is there is no super man without Lex Luthor. If Micheal chooses to not return they should end the series. It has limped on without him long enough…. thanks for listening

Okay well i have been leaving comments on a lot of other sites and now this is a little new. If people need a reason to bring back Lex then use the excuse that he had a meteor ability, think about it, there wasn’t a single day that Lex had gotten sick. What if he had a power that gave him the ability of accelerated healing. Also this is for Michael, and I believe that I speak on the behalf of nearly all fans, Lex must return. People have been disappointed ever since he “died”, its time for a comeback, Michael is the best Lex Luthor that anyone has ever seen and there cant be a substitute.

I think season 10 should be the finale season of Smallville shows start to get boring after 10 seasons as much as I love Smallville it probaly will start to get boring if they go on to season 11. I remember when i was 9 years old i became obsessed with superheros Spider-Man,Batman, Doc-Oc you name it . My favorite was always Superman and he probably always will be my favorite. I was 9 years old and i saw a preview for this new show that told the story of the Kent family finding a little boy from another planet in the middle of a cornfield in Smallville, Kansas. Ever since i watched the pilot i have watched every episode every season i am here to say that in smalvilles 9 season i have never givin up on the show and ive never stopped watching. This show is one of the only shows that i still watch from about ten years ago. Its really amazing how the cast has kinda grown up on the show. I will admit the show hasnt been the same without Michael Rosenbaum his potrayal of Lex Luthor is really amazing and something that i was will remember throughout the rest of my life so Michael come back on for ur fans man we really think your one of the better actors on television and thank you Tom Welling and Alison Mack and Kristen Kreuk might i add ur very gorgeous hahaha seriously guys thank you so much for everything u guys are what makes good tv !

I only started watching Smallville when it premiered its fourth season on the WB. I was a huge fan of the idea of Superman growing up and maturing into the hero he was meant to be. The characters in Smallville are so compelling and dynamic. Not one ever stays the same, they always develop new storylines inside each character. I truly admire that because without that level of change, the show would be ordinary. And we all know Superman is no ordinary guy. Tom Welling is a compelling actor and Allison Mack has been so wonderful to watch. Both of them have been the only two have stayed on for all nine years and to see how they both have grown, it is ultimately amazing. Allison is a wonderful role model for all females. I miss John Schneider, Annette O’Toole, and John Glover. They were the wisest of characters in any episode. I always will look back on those episodes and remembered how they inspired me as a writer. So, nine years or more, they are still a wonderful cast and crew and I will always look to them for inspiration. MICHAEL IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE YOU ON AS LEX AGAIN.

Michael Rosenbaun PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Come Back! I understand wanting to grow as an actor. I only started watching Smallville last year but I bought each series from the store. I’ve watched seven seasons in like 4 months. I’m only on episode 5 Season 8 and I’m mad. I’m like Where the heck is Lex? So I just read this a few minutes ago and I see I’m years behind. But the show just isn’t the same without Michael. I am so disappointed. Michael, please come back! For the fans!

Smallville isn’t just about the town, but where Superman begins his journey as a teenager to an adult. I love Smallville so much that more seasons would be grateful to the real fans. More and more, it’s like a drug, good drug! This show NEEDS to continue and never ends. Where do we find nowadays shows like this (Buffy, Charmed, etc.), they have all turn off. I just hope to see Martha, Lex or his dad (in dreams) for remembering old good times of Smallville. Even if the show turns differently than what we’ve hoped, Tom welling is always the ONE to play Superman and to make it real! Let’s enjoy the show for few more years and developp it on the bases of Superman! What an epic show!!!!!!! \m/ It rules!

On thing people need to remember is that Clark Kent has always loved Lana Lang, also he fell in love with Lois Lane. however he still loved Lana. I remember a cmoic off shoot where Superman clones himself to solve a problem that he couldn’t do alone, and after the problem was over one Superman married Lois and the other married Lana and moved to new Krypton. so that suggests that even though he loves Lois he still Loves Lana. Which is why I find it refreshing that Lana. shows up every now and then. I too want to see Clark in the suit and cape, however I remember reading somewhere that Tom said that he wont put on the suit and cape, I could be wrong.

My 14 year old had to be home every Thurs. @ 8 to see this show. It took me until this year to even see it for myself and now I’m hooked and I’m definitely not a TV person. It great to have a show that me and my sons [9 and 14] can all watch together [although its a little risque sometimes for the 9 year old so its a treat when we let him stay up with us and watch]. I do hope it continues even though I went back and rented the early episode and I like them better. I agree that they need more adults since most have left – there is little to keep a Mom’s attention now. Especially since Lex is gone! I really hope he comes back…

I think that Smallville is already over, I would hate to see CW Network turn fans away from the Series disgusted by bringing on season 9. We deserve the magical end we have been waiting 8 years for! Bring on the tights, & Cape! Let him fly! THe last episode is called: DOOMSDAY!!! May 14th 2009, what kind of Doomsday would it be without SUPERMAN?!!! The show has constantly neglected Clark his rights & abilities to FLY! That is lame! I got pretty much sick of the TITLE since the end of season 6! Season 7 was ok, but it should have ended there! Season 8 is barely grasping my attention because I knew it was coming to an end! Well now Season 9??? They aren’t even in SMALLVILLE anymore! End the series, start a spin off called Metropolis! But give us our END! We deserve that! Ask Gough and Millar back for final episode! I just want this show to be finished either way, but a happy LONG AWAITED ending! Since all but 2 years it has been almost a decade! That is a pretty good run for a 1 hour series. I haven’t seen any Superhero TV last this long! So be grateful it has done well for 8 years! It’s like The Cosby Show! Season 1 was a good start, Seasons 1-6 was the best years! Season 7 a little weaker but very interesting! Season 8 not doing so hot! Don’t get too cocky! The only reason so many are willing to watch season 8 was because we were promised this was a final season! Do you want to LIE to us and give us another CLIFFHANGER and make us say to hell with SMALLVILLE?!!! I won’t be back for Season 9, so end it please! Get a new spinoff! Get him his suit and cape, and revamp the show, make it interesting! Here’s a thought… Take a year or two off, and think creatively how to start a new SERIES, woah, just a thought. Thanks, hope nobody got mad at this idea, Smallville needs to end!

Samllville best show ever i thought it would of got cancelled after season two but made it past those exec’s and network change, now there in season 8 going on to season 9 the longest ever superman mytholigy tv show ever AMAZING. The best thing about smallville is that its its own original show adding characters from the whole superman comic & anime mytholigy and I hope when Smallville is put to rest that they give it justice and transition the show to (Metropolis The Adventures of Lois & Clark) and pick it up from 5 years into the future and that will be the best any Smallville fan will ever want.

First, the seventh season sucked…!!!! They should have cut out the whole Lana thing back then….it was so freaking old…!!!! I was so tired of her character by that point. Second, the Supergirl should have been a guest character. She wasn’t a strong character to keep. The finale was lame, because they didn’t really finish it at season 8. I mean, no real resolution. I like everyone else here WANT TO SEE CLARK FLY ALREADY….!!!! God, this running across town thing is so old already..!!!! The series is getting tired. Now we got Doomsday. Whatever. Its just more villians, not any major stories….!!!! That was what drew me to the show….

To have Michael Rosenbaum return in a flashback would be great. I like the way that the storyline involving Lana has had a lot of loose ends tied up, but a lot of the explanation of what happened to Lex after the Fortress self destructed was left off. Plus, I would love to see an extension on the Tess storyline, maybe some of the foundation of their relationship written into an episode, maybe more about the ‘accident’ she survived and her ‘highlights’ as it was so called put.

The hero and villain make the show. No one can change Michael Rosenbaum’s character as Lex. It does hurt the show. If they can, which I am seeing get the Zod thing going, that’s the only other thing that would keep me interested. I wish Michael Rosenbaum never left, it is a huge loss. His return would be well worth it.

I am a very big fan of smallsville since my boyfriend introduced me. I have loved the growing character developments and the relationships that have formed. I am very sad to hear that Micheal Rosenmbaum has decided not to come back to the show. I looked forward to more intense arguments between him and tom welling(Clark Kent) on this new season. I hope he does decide to come back but in the event that he does not it was great having him for seven seasons. I really enjoyed Micheal Rosenbaum character. Also, is Clark ever going to put on the suit or fly?

Lex is a developing character. They could keep him off the show for three more years and he’d still get more development than any character. I’ve admired every one of the cast members and I think they are fantastic people. If Michael wants to try new things other than Lex, then he should. But returning for a closing is a well-deserved necessity for the Smallville fans. I’ve stayed faithful to Smallville since it aired and I will even after it’s over. It would make me content to see Lex return at some point but not any time soon. I’m enjoying where the new writers are taking the show. It’s a very defining journey for Clark. He is the focal point of the show, so as long as we see Clark, then the show is strong. Tom is the heart of Smallville. Michael is one of the greatest villains to play on television as Lex Luthor though. So, seeing what would happen between Clark and Lex if Lex returned would be real moving for me.

I have just finished my reveal about all seasons and I can tell that after Michael Rosenbaum left Smallville, everything started getting less exciting . Without Lex, the whole story is pointless, and the only arch enemy that can amaze us so deeply in the same level as Tom Welling is Michael Rosenbaum and no other one than himself.

Remember people, this is FICTION. Since the beginning, even “Chloe Sullivan” was made up, remember? So, Smallville’s NOT following ALL OF THE TRADITIONAL story lines of Superman which is why it makes it interesting when they “change up”. Kristin, yes beautiful girl, but other fans are right, the repetitive lines and stories get old, let’s move on shall we? This season has been great b/c they HAVE changed the story lines a bit, Clark is finally trying to move on and grow up, accepted who he is, but of course, still trying to figure out how his abilities will become his destiny to “save the world”. So c’mon Smallville Fans, stay true and keep watching, give credit to this season’s cast & crew, they’re doing a fine job so far, let’s show them our support!

Puh-lease… Lana has to go and should be brought back as anything major. The character’s welcome has been worn out much like the Lex obsession over Clark. I hope these new writers do something more. We need a more diverse set of villains. Brainiac and Lex are old, how long do we need to watch these guys? And now Doomsday is in as the “ultimate being/destroyer”; he can’t be too great if a young Clark Kent who hasn’t yet reached his potential has to take him on. Really now people, Doomsday KILLS Superman – a grown fully powered Superman – in the comics. Best stuff ever written aside from Knightfall storyline of Batman in the 90s. I want to see a Bruce Wayne / Batman visit to Metropolis. I want to see Clark become the dorky Clark and take on his Superman persona. I want to see Clark in the suit, but this is likely to never occur as I read somewhere that the WB doesn’t want Smallville Clark in the suit as it will clash with their movieverse of Superman Returns and Man of Steel. I personally think that’s balderdash. The writers of Smallville have clearly delineated the characters from those in the movieverse. Let’s have people, bring it all on and give us (at least me) what we want!

I would have continued to watch SV without Kristin because I wanted to see Clark’s destiny being followed. I love his character. However, I can’t stomach watching Clark and Lois making nauseating googily eyes at each other when Lana has been stated by many to be the love of his life. This show hasn’t followed the comics, from what I’ve been told, so what is the problem with giving SV’s Clark a happy ever after with the love of his life. Promise me that and I’d be coming back. As it is, I’ll only watch the episodes with Kristin on them.
