I’ll leave this e but I/we are at your mercy as far as what gets aired and what doesn’t. This won’t be the first time I’ve been lulled or is it ‘lured’ into a greaat show only to have it snatched out from under me. But, if it makes any difference at all: I really liked Smith. My intelligence level is above 6th grade which is what most programs are aimed at (6th grade level that is) so I guess I don’t count for anything ’cause I’m not stupid enought, right?!?!

I watched the series in England and thought it was very slick (compliment). In addition to the superb cast the concept was original; the plot-lines and sub-plot-lines intriguing; and the action top-notch. I was unaware the series had been discontinued and thinking I had missed the ending first time round watched most of the episodes a second time when they were repeated. I even looked to buy the DVD, and I would happily watch the series a third time if it included the ending.

SMITH was the only show I was looking forward to in the fall. I planned my week around SMITH and was absolutely stunned when it was cancelled. I could not believe it. It was so much better than so many other shows on CBS. I keep checking on line to see why this show was really cancelled? Is Ray Liota well? Please bring the show back or let us know exactly why that was cancelled.

What are you people thinking? Dumping Mr. Smith & leaving us with Jericho? The only reason people watch that simple stuff is because all the good stuff has been cancelled!!! It was so nice watching something different…What a great plot!! It was so refreshing not seeing yet another freakin crime scene show or another lawyer show!!!

There is a reason why I do not enjoy watching network television anymore. It is the same reason that I do not like politics anymore. I refuse to be treated like a moron. Please be smart and buy as many cable networks as you can, so that you can make more money from people like me, that refuse to watch your drivel.
Sports, HBO, FX and entertaining/ informative programming such as Discovery, History and National Geographic Channels, as well as, PBS is where my time and money goes.
Every now and then an ad for a new Network Show will catch my attention. This was the case with Smith. Great cast, decent plot, well acted. I knew it could not last.
Thank You CBS for showing me that you are as much a part of the dumbing down of America as a George Bush Whitehouse and a Religious Fanatacism run amok.
I enjoy having less time to watch television as I now try to concentrate on having a life and buying less and less of your advertised products. I realize I am in the minority, but better that than be part of your flock of sheep.
It’s not that I am disillusioned, I just refuse to settle for crap.

I’m terribly upset that my show was cancelled.One of the best show of the new fall season,was cancelled. What were you all thinking,please bring it back.The cast was amazing,the show was action-packed.Tuesday night at 9:00 o’clock,I almost back my neck getting to the television.Waiting to see Smith,if you all had any sense.You would bring it back,the best shows on CBS,CSI Miami,and the Sunday night shows.Then there was Smith,I really hope someone else pickup this outstanding show.Ray Liotta and the cast you did an amazing job………….Mad in Kentucky

Bull////!!!! The real reason CBS canceled Smith was
you are cheap!!! You knew if you had a really good hit you would have to pay these fine actors the money they knew their agents could get for them period! This was a show WITHOUT a perdicted script THAT is WHAT everyone LIKED about it. I spend money and I am not 15-24 years old I have a brain so what
the ///// are you guys thinking just cheap as that it. Well, eventually everyone will be watching FOX network anyway…have a few people at the top who know winning when they see it! Bring Smith back at a

I am totally a CBS fan. I enjoyed watching the first few episoeds of SMITH and was confused when it did not come on. The show had a good plot and was action packed. It is definetly a much better than Jerico (which by the way needs better actors). If you were going to pull a show off the air it should have been Jerico, not Smith. I am diappointed! Just because your network in number one now does not mean it will remain. If you have a good show that initally got good ratings then you should give it a try. I thing it could be your next CSI. If anything you should move it to another night. I’ll watch it midnight on fridays, I dont care. It’s a cool show and I support it!

I was so mad at CBS for canceling Smith. It was the best show ever. I looked forward to it the next week and what do you know it was gone. All the rest of the shows cannot compare to this show. It was so good and now all we have is Jericho. God what an awful show. I watched two episodes and that was enough. Seems like if a show comes on I like they cancel but yet we have so many that are so boring. CSI and Criminal Minds.
The person responsible for dumping this show should be fired.

I can’t believe they cancelled the best new show of the season.
This show was different, interesting, and had a large number of young viewers among my co-workers which surprised me.

What do you mean…it was getting too hard to follow? My 73 year old mother could follow it. The show was in a class all by itself…unlike others that look like “copycats”. The reasons used for it’s demise…are the exact reasons I loved the show. I may not have been able to sit thru the whole thing because of my early work schedule…but that is what DVR is for….and I couldn’t wait to watch it the next day. Bring it back!!!!

Jeeeez-us x-rist! Like all of the aboce viewers, I was appaled that Smith was cancelled. I am a Sopranos / SIx Feet Under / The Shield fan and was really starting to enjoy the edgy, intelligent drama that Smith was. I have had the same feedback from friends who watched it (A++ post-grad educated, wealthy viewers…just the ones advertizers want!!!) – not I have to rely on House to keep me going until, which ain’t too bad.

The stupid cow responsible for cancelling Smith on CBS should be dumped with the cast of Jericho…forever. Loser.

What a huge disappointment to discover that Smith has been discontinued! The first week we thought it had simply been preempted, the second week we went searching for it on another night……finally I checked the web and nearly cried to see that it had been cancelled. Shame on you CBS……..God, what, besides The Unit do you have for our enjoyment???

I thought I was going to be bothered by yet another crime drama and wasn’t looking forward to Smith but I knew that I’d have to give it a try because of my husband who couldn’t wait to see it. I knew the show would definitely have quality acting from the likes of Ray Liotta & Virginia Madsen that I hope for in any show but I intentionally resisted another crime drama of any sort. We already have 3-CSI’s, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Numbers, (some of which I’d personally give up), not to mention the legal dramas! But I had no choice after we watched SMITH for the first time… “I” loved it! So did my husband! What a disappointment when it was cancelled! But we are finding that we are disappointed by many of the cancellations and even more so by the shows staying on the air! We obviously enjoy television when we’re home and when we’re not we schedule the shows we like to record. We use to have too many shows to keep up with. Now we’re asking one another what’s recorded when we want to relax and watch a good show because few are on television. We seem to be recording fewer these days, too.

Smith was an intelligent, smart show that was well directed, acted and written. So I knew it wouldn’t last. I was surprised to see “Jericho” with its premise, but then as I follow that it is like “disaster lite”. It will probably last 7 seasons. It is already becoming inanely vanilla. Not to mention derivitive of… “Lost”? Anyone else see the parallels? A small, diverse population thrust into a disaster/survival situation cut off from society AT LARGE with an amorphous, threatening “them” starting to loom closer and closer. Heres where the bull starts for “Jericho”. For all this small Colorado town knows we are at WAR! But militia rule doesn’t seem to exist? And what small western population with a very possible and even probable invasion looming wouldn’t have ARMED every last able bodied person? Nearly everyone in that town would now be PACKING firearms 24/7.

Smith on the otherhand set up situations and was showing realistic consequences and reactions and actions. It was smart. Obviously too smart for prime-time.

I’m so saddened by the cancellation otm “Smith.” The popcorn was pupped and buttered, the kids in bed and the dog crated as I got ready for episode 4. What??!! Oh, surely pre-empted for baseball playoffs of special programing. Well, perhaps switched to a different night where network execs figured to reach a better core audience. No. Dropped just when things were getting good it appears by some young idiot named Nina Tassler, who looks about as savvy and worldly as my 17-year-old daughter.

I’m so disappointed that we’ve turned over television programming and tastemaking to children who wouldn’t know real entertainment if it snuck up and bit them on the ass!! Shame.

What a disappointment to see Smith cut from the fall schedule! I’m a huge fan of both Madsen and Liotta and I didn’t find the plot too complex. It just seemed smarter than other fodder on “network” TV.

With the Stepfordization of Katie Couric for the CBS evening news, its easy to see that CBS prefers to appeal to the low brow.

CBS made a big mistke by cancelling Smith. I think the show was exciting. They should of consider moving it to a different time slot before taking it of the air. the program is much more interesting to me than Jericho and that is still on. I wish the network would reconsider

CBS made a big mistake by removing Smith from the lineup. Simon Baker fans will not forget this. As usual, they underestimated the intelligence of the American Viewer. Duh. I was not confused one bit. In fact, it was becoming my favorite show.

If you have a list, please put near to the top a hilarious sitcom of quite some time ago “The Incredible Teddy Z” which was side-splittingly funny. It did not have any bon voyage. It was pushed to another week, another day and then disappeared. I searched for that show with the diligence I would use to find my lost dog. All for naught. Thank you for caring.
