Southland: Season Five Ratings

Southland season five ratingsWhen NBC cancelled Southland, it was hard to imagine that we’d be talking about season five of the show. Will the ratings be good enough for TNT to renew the show for a sixth year? We shall have to wait and see.

Revolving around police officers in Los Angeles, the show stars Ben McKenzie, Michael Cudlitz, Regina King, Shawn Hatosy, C. Thomas Howell, and Lucy Liu.

Below are the most recent ratings for the Southland TV series on TNT. The show’s ratings are the best way to tell if it will be cancelled or renewed for a sixth season. The fifth season of Southland airs on Wednesday nights and there are 10 episodes once again.

These figures will be updated as the weeks progress so be sure to bookmark and return to this page:

I am really saddened by the decision to cancel this show. It is a good show and the finale was a terrible series ending! Unbelievable , please give good shows a chance. Something has to be wrong with the ratings system. Show after show is cancelled. Perhaps the rating system has drastically changed with the advent of DVRs and such.

Great show. Take into account those that cant watch it live. Young children present. DVR or amazon kindle viewing only in my household. Renew the show please! Bring back Cooper.

Southland is one of the most intelligent and well written shows on T.V. If something should be cancelled, let’s look to the over-rated Mad Men – the show that promises so much and delivers so little. Aside from interesting sets and costumes, this is one of the emptiest and most boring shows ever to hit television.

Great show – one of the few good things on TV today – the JUNK ( reality, TERRIBLE comedies, etc. ) continues to amaze me – Do people really watch this stuff?
Hope Southland is renewed!!

The qualify of acting on this show is very good. I agree with several of the comments. America is lowering it’s standard with brainless so-called reality shows. I would love to see this show continue for another season if not more. It is one of the BEST shows on either TV or cable.

Oh, please, please renew Southland for the 2014 season! We truly enjoy every episode on Wednesday nights. It’s the best police show on TV and TNT should be proud to have this series on their schedule! Thank you!

I really like “SouthLAnd”. One of my very favorites. Really liked “The Closer” too. And I do set my DVR so not to miss any episodes.

I love Southland. I’ve watched it since the beginning and I don’t think there is a better drama on TV. I just watched the season finale and could not believe it. Surely John won’t die!!!

I have very little hope that Southland will be back. The american audience is getting less sophisticated each year. Attention spans last minutes, not weeks. Spend some time around “real americans” (idiots), and you’ll understand why “keeping up with the kardashians” gets incredible ratings while Southland struggles. Blame morons – your fellow americans. Don’t blame TNT for business decisions. Personally I would pay in advance for each and every episode of Southland that is produced. Scripted drama and quality TV in general needs a completely new business model if it is to survive the dumbing of the audience.

You hit it right on the head. The dumbing down of America gets worse and worse everytime a quality show like Southland gets cancelled and completely idiotic shows like “the housewives of “insert city” and “Keeping up with the “talentless wonders” get renewed, don’t even get me started on “Honey Boo Boo”, I actually just got dumber writing that title.

I think Southland is a great t.v. show, and I really hope TNT brings the show back. The acting is great, its amazing how many good actors there are on this show. The story lines are pretty good. I definitely think there is a lot of life left in this show, and I hope it continues.

I am getting so cynical that I fear that “Southland” will be cancelled even though it is one of teh very finest shows on t.v., never missed.
