Though Star Trek veteran actor Leonard Nimoy has said that he has officially retired from performing, it doesn’t seem to take much to pull him back into the arena. He recently reprised his role as William Bell on Fringe (in voice only) and also will be providing the voice of Sentinel Prime in the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon. He’ll also supposedly pop up in JJ Abrams’ upcoming Super 8 feature film.
Nimoy is also starring in the latest Bruno Mars music video for “The Lazy Song” (Official Alternate Version). He seems to be playing a fictional version of himself in the video, throwing in small allusions to his Star Trek history, but is about as un-Spock-like as we’ve ever seen him.
Take a look:
What do you think? An entertaining performance? Is Nimoy really retired?
