Stargate Universe and Sanctuary: Syfy TV Shows Returning September 28th

SanctuaryOver the weekend, Syfy confirmed that both Stargate Universe and Sanctuary will be returning on September 28th. As previously rumored, they’ll be airing on Tuesdays this time around.

Stargate Universe is returning for its second season and Sanctuary will kick off its third. The cable channel announced orders of 20 episodes for each show back in December 2009.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to these returns? Do you prefer one show over the other?

…I was glad they returned…both are my favorites…and I feel Syfy made a big error to cancel both of these shows…esp SGU with that cliff hanger…at least Santuary left me feeling things were well in the last episode…but SGU, i feel the show was so good it had at least ten seasons in it…and it seemed to me the sets were really not as expensive either yet really excellent content…just did not air on the weekends when gate people who work are free to watch…either that or someone fools the watchers saying we don’t want this type show….WRONG…be careful or the next generation will be falling off a cliff with shows like we are seeing on Syfy now….

I wasn’t really a fan of SGU but I absolutely love Sanctuary. I’m a subscriber and employee at DISH Network and recently upgraded to HD and this show looks absolutely amazing! Watching the re-runs almost feels like watching them again for the first time. I hadn’t expected the added clarity to make such a significant difference. Anyone who hasn’t already done so I would certainly recommend switching over to HD and with DISH offering HD free for life for qualifying customers on all of their America’s Top Packages it’s a great time to do so.

SGU is so much better than any of the former Stargate shows. The actors are great and so are the characters. I will be very upset if SGU is cancelled. The espisodes actually have a plot that extends beyond one show. I know MGM is in trouble financially, but if you cancel this show….well its managements fault and they will be completely incompetent.
