This music program features The Kirby Stone Quintet — Kirby Stone, Eddie Hall, Mike Gardner, and Larry Foster — and their light-hearted harmonies. The singers are often joined by special guest performers on the show and sing mostly funny or amusing songs that have subtle lyrical twists.

Starting with the April 3, 1950 broadcast, the program was renamed The Kirby Stone Quintet. It initially aired at 7pm on three nights a week and then four. For the show’s final six months on the air, episodes aired five nights a week
