Sports or specials: NFL football on NBC and football over-run on FOX.
On FOX, a football over-run of 20 minutes made a mess of the network’s ratings. These are just approximates and the finals will be posted on the individual show pages when they become available. At 8:30pm, The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers hybrid attracted a 2.8 rating with 5.8 million. That was followed by Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy with a 2.7 rating and 5.4 million. At 9:30pm, a mixture of the two episodes of Family Guy brought a 2.5 rating with 5.3 million. The final bit of Family Guy brought a 2.0 rating with 4.9 million.
On NBC, Football in America attracted a 2.3 rating with 6.7 million viewers in the first hour. At 8pm, it garnered a 4.4 demo rating with 12.9 million. At 8:30pm, the Houston at Chicago game drew a 7.0 rating in the demo with 18.7 million.
On CBS, 60 Minutes brought a 1.7 rating (-50% change week-to-week) with 11.3 million. The Amazing Race followed with a 2.4 in the demo (-8% change) and 9.2 million. The Good Wife then drew a 1.7 rating (0% change) with 9.0 million. The night finished with The Mentalist and a 1.8 in the demo (0% change) with 10.0 million.
On ABC, America’s Funniest Home Videos attracted a 1.4 demo rating (-18% change) with 6.1 million total viewers. Once Upon a Time took a big drop, falling to a 2.7 rating (-23% change) with 8.7 million. At 9pm, Revenge garnered a 2.4 in the demo (-11% change) with 7.5 million and then 666 Park Avenue once again drew a 1.3 rating (0% change) with 4.0 million.
What do you think? Why did Once Upon a Time see such a significant drop? Will Park Avenue stay at this level, grow, or drop further?

The Once Upon A Time story plot is getting so complicated, not just with all the new characters, but also with all of the additional baggage of more and more interactions between the various fairy tales. Some people I have talked with say that with all of the flash backs that occur, they lose track of who’s on first base, so to speak.
Once Upon a Time is adding more and more characters, a mistake many programs, like ER, made. You can’t have a good story with only a few minutes here and there devoted to it. Stick with the original characters and develop their story line.
I agree, tired of the red john storyline, lets get down to storylines about murder, tired of red john after the second season, this show is doomed if it keeps going in this direction.
DVR’d Revenge because of all the football games. Watched Mentalist, but I’m having a problem with the show this season. Janes’s character is going overboard with the Red John story line. It is becoming too much and tiresome. His idea Sunday of breaking into the Federal Maximum security facility is baloney and unreal. They need to get back to the way the series was before and the Sunday schedule after football is a death wish for the show. The station did the same to CSI Miami.
Is it sad that this show got me so back into mentalism that I wrote a blog about it? LOL A lot of people are getting ripped off trying to perform these tricks themselves. It’s very interesting what this show is doing to the world. howtobeamentalist.net
Revenge & 666 Park Avenue, two of my favorites, probably saw a drop due to it being Veteran’s Day and those watchers either watched shows based on the day or were not home to watch it due to the day’s events. Ratings should wait for the DVR’s to show the TRUE ratings.
