TV show description:
This comedy series follows junior attorney Kimmie Boubier (Rebel Wilson) and her two best friends and roommates; Helen-Alice (Liza Lapira) and Marika (Lauren Ash). For the past 13 years, they’ve lived a sheltered life.
Instead of going out on the weekends in New York, they’ve had a standing date every Friday night to hang out with each other. So while everyone around them is getting married and moving on, all they have is each other and their “Super Fun Night” tradition.
That all starts to change when Kimmie gets a big promotion at her law firm. She’s moving up at work and also meets British attorney Richard Royce (Kevin Bishop), the handsome son of the firm’s senior partner.
She thinks Richard might be attracted to her, especially after he mentions that he likes girls with a “bit of chunk.” It seems that suddenly Kimmie’s whole life is opening up, but Helen-Alice and Marika are worried she’ll leave them behind.
Kimmie hopes she can convince them that life isn’t just for the pretty and the popular, that it’s time these three friends put themselves out there.
But, things aren’t all rosy for Kimmie either. Kendall (Kate Jenkinson), a tall, blonde and very attractive lawyer, also has a thing for Richard and has no trouble letting Kimmie know.
Episode #17 — …Till the Fat Lady Sings
When Kimmie admits to her boyfriend, James (guest star Nate Torrence), that Richard kissed her, he breaks up with her. She’s torn between trying to get James back or telling Richard how she really feels about him. Meanwhile, a visit from Richard’s autocratic dad, Rupert Royce (guest star Charles Shaughnessy), throws the firm into chaos over who will be getting the next big promotion, and Marika struggles to find a way to tell her friends she’s gay.
First aired: February 19, 2014
What do you think? Do you like the Super Fun Night TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
We love it! It is uniquely different, fresh and always funny. Please continue it. It is getting better all the time!!
Super Fun Night is a great show! Clever, entertaining, and more fun each episode.
Please keep it on the air. We need shows like this that are refreshing and different!
Are you counting the people who watch it on “ON Demand”? Really, this show must stay, advertise it like the Goldberg’s, another great show. Both are the freshest and most enjoyable shows on TV today!!!
This is a great show!!! It needs to be advertised more so people become aware of it!!! One of the best sit-coms on TV today!!!!
Yes please keep the show going!!!!!!
Please keep this show. It is so hilarious and fresh. I am looking forward to more episodes.
Really enjoyed this funny cool unusal hip show..It made me laugh and have interest in the girls who hang together with their own sisterhood. A slice of life. looking forward to a new episodes.
Please renew!!! This is one of two shows that I actually love!!! I think many people just haven’t found this hidden gem! The best shows like The Office and Seinfeld took awhile to build an audience! Give this one a chance!!!
I like the show very much. It’s quirky and fun. KEEP IT!
I enjoy this TV show. Please don’t cancel it.
Lov this show all the characters are funny!
I hope this show stays on. Rebel Wilson is a hero for so many women. She is big, bright, and brimming with self esteem. With Melissa McCarthy (Mike & Molly), she blazes the trail for larger actresses who are downright FUNNY — and not all (if any) jokes are about weight. Her character is successful, she has a love life, some very interesting besties and even one nemesis. Keep her on — she is just coming into her own!!
Please keep this show, I love it. It gets funnier every week!
I think that it should be renewed for another season and not be canceled for a while. like A WHILE. this show speaks to me because i can relate to Kimmie because i am also like Richard says “a little bit of chunk” like her and it is hard to find a guy, the right guy, to fall in love with you for you and does not care how you look appearance and all and for her to tell her friends that they deserve happiness and open themselves up to love, is awesome. She is a bad ass lawyer with… Read more »
I love this show, don’t cancel. Everytime a funny or good show comes on they get cancelled.
I love this show!! Cute, clever and entertaining. Hope it is renewed for season two!
