I’m getting awfully tired of losing funny shows because the DWTS audience doesn’t come with them!!! Why do people who like stupid reality shows get to dictate what the rest of us get to watch? Can’t the CW take Surviving Suburbia back?

I think the show is wonderful. It just keeps getting better and better.
Particularly like the kids and scooter lady. The episodes are intelligent but funny and sometimes slapstick but very charming. I have a good laugh every time I watch.
I would love to see the characters develop over the years.

This show is a piece of crap.Bob Saget is more of a DORK here than he was on Full House(which was a piece of crap in it’s own right)the sooner this show goes up in flames the better and hopefully we’ll never see Bob Saget ever agian.

I love this show. It keeps getting better and better. The last 2 episodes had me rolling and everyone who watched with me loved it too. I think I especially like it when Henry has a big part. He is so much fun to watch. His timing is great and he interacts perfectly with everyone. This last episode was hysterical when he confronted the neighbor about the basket. Oh, and did anyone happen to notice his dimples. How cute is he?? I hope ABC sees the diamond in the rough and brings it back for a second season. Not a summer replacement. I mean Big Bang Theory was a bomb at first and now look.

OK, So the show tonight was fantastic!! I know that this is one of those sleeper shows. I mean Henry and Courtney were awesome. Anne and Steve had great chemistry and I laughed out loud. Everyone was in the moment. Just loved it. Keep it ,let it develop. Funny funny stuff.

I HOPE THEY BRING BK THE SHOW. I FEEL, UNDER THE HORRIBLE CIRCUMSTANCES WE EXIST (BAD ECONOMY, HIGH COST OF LIVING, HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT, ETC….), WE LOOK FORWARD TO COMEDY SHOWS, LIKE SURVIVING SUBURBIA, TO HELP US REMEMBER WE ARE STILL CAPABLE OF SOME LAUGHTER. I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO LEARN IT WAS PUT ON HOLD, WITH ONLY A POSSIBILITY OF ITS RETURN. IM TIRED OF BORING REALITY SHOWS TAKING OVER SOME OF THE QUALITY SHOWS SUCH AS THIS ONE. ABC needs to keep this show…It’s absolutely hilarious, Bob Saget and Jere Burns make a great buddy duo and Cynthia Stevenson is probably the only wife character in a sitcom I’ve enjoyed since Carrie in King of Queens. This show has real potential. Given a proper weekly timeslot and this show could consistently bring in at least 10-12 million. Don’t play it off your stupid reality dancing show people watching Dancing with the Stars aren’t the people who are gonna watch this show. They’re not gonna stay tuned to ABC because their such LOYAL ABC viewers. Im sure as soon as DWTS is over they jump to their next crappy reality show on another network. Its not audience’s lack of interest in shows, it’s the networks inability to have a proper stable schedule. This is exactly why CBS has so much success. CBS stick to their schedule, air shows in timeslots that suit the demographic and of course have the top-notch shows to maintain viewers. Look at their Monday night comedy schedule. 8-10PM, 4 shows, top notch quality (well minus Gary Unmarried). Maybe CBS should pull another Medium and pick up Surviving Suburbia for their Monday night lineup. Double the Saget with How I Met Your Mother.

This is well written, well acted. Do NOT cancel this show….from Charlotte NC!!!

I love this show. It’s actually a very good family show. It seems as though TV doesn’t want good family shows just trash. Everytime I get interested in a new show it gets cancelled. I guess this is why I don’t watch much TV.

It’s a good show and like a lot of other good shows it won’t be given a chance. Who knows what influences the people who make programming decisions? Certainly not quality or potential. Most sit-coms need a growing period , but too often an inconsistent schedule, lack of promotion, and too few episodes to develop a following kill a promising show before it has a chance to develop a fan base.. I caught Surviving Suburbia on its second episode, was impressed and then couldn’t find it again. Now I hear it is being cancelled. I have finallyy reached the point where it isn’t worth my time to try out new shows just to be disappointed.

I vote to keep it. I am so sick of reality TV. The only thing I want more of is the younger cast members. I like all of the teen characters. The reason is that if you watch some of the other shows, you find surreal characters, like in Gossip Girl. These characters are believable as normal teens that are easy to relate to. The relationships they have with the adults are fun to watch. Henry is definitely underused. I think his character will lend credibility to the parent’s characters. Give it time to break itself in. So in short, Surviving Suburbia is a really good idea and I for one will be happy to watch it every week.

This was such a cute show… in fact, a show that I enjoy, as well as my 6 year old daughter. There’s not many shows like that anymore! For those who don’t like it, stop complaining about it, and just don’t watch it. You can’t expect to like EVERYTHING that comes on TV.

Give it a chance. It is a really good show. I think it will catch on as soon as it is available every week. Did ABC really do it a favor by airing it after DWTS? They showed a few episodes and then have DWTS on again for 2 hours . I really was excited to watch Surviving Suburbia last night and terribly disappointed to find out it would not air. Frankly, i am really tired of the reality shows. A good old fashioned situation comedy is what I dream of. Surviving Suburbia, fits the bill.

I love that show! It is one of my favorites and it would be a shame to let that show go! I hope ABC wont cancel it or i will have nothing to watch after DWTS. If the show wasn’t on yesterday then i am pretty sure i didn’t miss an episode but if it was then i did. =( ! I would hate for that show to go because it is super funny and everyone gets a laugh out of it! It has an all-star cast so i would hate for it to go off the air! PLEAE ABC DON’T CANCEL SURVING SURBIA!

Would be a mistake if ABC cancels this show. I think the show has great potential and just needs to get through the first season. I hope to see it return.

And…the young man who plays the son has great talent and is someone that could become another teen idol. Saw him in person while dining out. Was very kind and seemed like a level headed young man.

I really like it too. I missed seeing it tonight. I needed a good laugh. Just plain fun. I wish that ABC had given it a time slot that could have aired weekly instead of being continually bumped for season finales and premieres. I also want to point out that many of this years “funniest” sitcoms were criticized as last year’s worst. The cast is wonderful and I think the writing is funny. Remove the laugh track and I bet you hear yourself chuckling out loud. Too many cynical people out there who just don’t know how to relax and have a good time.

This show is one of the few on air that actually make me laugh, if they cancel then what else is worth watching?! I think it just needs more time to gain exposure, if people get a chance to watch the show I am sure they would love it just as much as I do! Many shows struggle the first seaon while working out all the kinks like finding the right time-slot & obtaining an audience, just give it more time!

What a disappointment if they cancel this show!!! There are so many factors that lead to the decline in ratings – a finale on NBC and a MOST IMPORTANTLY a lack of promotion on ABC’s part. They assumed that Bob Saget’s long term history with ABC shows and the coveted time slot following Dancing with the Stars would be enough. See what happens when you assume!!! If the audience was more prepared and knew that Bob’s character was totally different than Danny Tanner, the reviews would not have been so harsh!!! If it was promoted as… “wait til you see the difference in fatherhood”, the difference would have been expected with an anticipation!!! What a shame!!! And, what a waste of good talent — the kids are great!!! Especially the son — they should have marketed him to pull in the Teenie Bopper market. ABC missed the boat–let’s hope they don’t sink it!!!!

Was it that they didn’t have enough time to rehearse, maybe bad direction!? I don’t know. I love Bob Sagat and Cynthia Stevenson but I really wish for their sakes that “One-vs-a-Hundred” and “Dead Like Me” would be resurrected!

I think Surviving Suburbia is a victim of poor judgement by the network in their decision not to air the pilot episode. I think sit coms are evolutionary. If you look back, say for example at Will and Grace, the original Jack and Karen characters no longer existed by the end of the show. As the actors grew more comfortable with the characters, they took them to a different level. There is no lack of talent in this show and I think given the chance, the next level is attainable. Writer Kevin Abbott is a gem and armed with this initial criticism and the fine talent, I believe the show will succeed. I went to a taping and saw the pilot before they shot the episode for the studio audience. I laughed out loud which is something I don’t often do. The episode I saw them tape is the one with the neighbor and the pill. I laughed through the taping and when I saw it on TV, laughed again. The kid who plays Henry is brilliant and so is the daughter. I believe the last rating dropped because it was up against Rules of Engagement season premiere. By the way… Rules was panned by critics in the first season but got a chance to build an audience and was picked up by its network for season 2. The audience will certainly loose out if you cancel this show.
