The alphabet network has released a long list of highlights of their programming for the May sweeps period. Sweeps happen four times a year — roughly November, February, May, and July. They’re the times when additional ratings information is gathered and used to help determine advertising rates. As a result, the networks save their strongest programming for these times.
Many of ABC’s shows will be back for a new season next fall but some won’t. The shows on this list that could very likely be having their series finales include Better with You, Happy Endings, Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, and Shark Tank. Though not mentioned in the release, Brothers & Sisters is also certainly on the chopping block as well. We’ll have to wait to see who makes the grade next month when the new season is announced.
