“Who loves ya, baby?” Universal Pictures has hired the writing team of Neal Purvis and Robert Wade to script a movie version of Kojak. They wrote Skyfall, the current James Bond movie, as well as four previous Bond films.
Kojak, the tough, lollipop-sucking cop, was played by Telly Savalas for five seasons and 125 episodes on CBS. In 2005, the show was revived for USA with Ving Rhames playing the title role. That version only lasted 10 episodes.
