USA Network has renewed their Playing House sitcom for a second season of eight episodes. The renewal comes as a bit of a surprise since the cable channel is reportedly moving away from producing their own comedy series. There were 10 installments in the first season.
Playing House revolves around childhood best friends Maggie Caruso (Lennon Parham) and Emma Crawford (Jessica St. Clair). The pair shared many adventures growing up together and as adults they work together to raise Maggie’s baby. The rest of the cast includes Keegan-Michael Key, Zach Woods, Brad Morris, and Jane Kaczmarek.
