Though NBC has cancelled Saving Hope and pulled it from their website, the hospital drama will keep airing in Canada. The show was renewed for a second season of 13 episodes back in July. Now, CTV has ordered an additional five installments, bringing the season total to 18 episodes.
There’s still no word on if American audiences will get a chance to see them, either via DVD or if a cable channel decides to pick up the series (ala The Listener or Flashpoint).

The broadcaster has ordered an additional five hours from ICF Films/Entertainment One (eOne), bringing its second season commitment to 18 episodes in total. The most-watched drama series on Canadian television this summer, SAVING HOPE reigns as the most-watched Canadian drama of the 2011-12 broadcast year, with an impressive Season 1 average of 1.7 million viewers each week.
