There’s a trip to Beantown in A&E’s future. The cable channel has greenlighted Southie Rules, a new reality series that will “follow one wicked-stubborn native South Boston family as they battle the relentless gentrification of their neighborhood.”
No word yet on when the Southie Rules show will air or how many episodes have been ordered.

NEW YORK, NY – May 9, 2012 – A&E has ordered the new Real-Life series “Southie Rules” from Powderhouse Productions and Magilla Entertainment, with production beginning immediately, it was announced today by David McKillop, Executive Vice President, Programming, A&E Network and BIO Channel. The series will follow one wicked- stubborn native South Boston family as they battle the relentless gentrification of their neighborhood.
