Star Trek: The Next Generation: Wil Wheaton was in the Star Trek Movie?

The JJ Abrams-directed Star Trek movie includes several allusions and tips of the hat to its predecessors. Aside from Leonard Nimoy, there are cameo appearances by numerous Trek veterans of the past. Actor Wil Wheaton has just revealed that he’s one of them.

It seems that Wheaton, who’s best known to Trek fans for playing Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation, did some voice work on the movie. As he tells it, the job came about through text messaging with Abrams’ friend Greg Grunberg.
