The Dead Zone information

Frustrating cliffhangersAs we close out the first ten years of this millennium, it’s amazing how many great TV shows have been cancelled. Big as that list is, there are some that stand out more than others — mostly because they left us hanging. Here’s a list of 10 that deserved at least one more episode to wrap things up.

The 4400 — This show and The Dead Zone ran successfully for many years on USA. The ongoing mysteries of both shows kept viewers coming back for more each week. Unfortunately, the cable channel decided to be done with them in 2007. The shows and their viewers were left with unresolved cliffhangers. Of the the shows, 4400 seems a bit more tragic as it wasn’t on for as many seasons and Dead Zone fans have a freaky Christopher Walken movie.

Sooner or later, TV shows all come to an end and the castmembers go their separate ways. If we're lucky, our favorites return in new TV shows and movies. Here's where you'll be able to see a bunch of them like… Bradley Whitford (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip), Willie Garson (John from Cincinnati), Jason Gedrick (Murder One), Eric Roberts (Less than Perfect), Chris Parnell (Miss Guided) , Luke Kirby (Tell Me You Love Me), Michael Kenneth Williams (The Kill Point), Ally Walker (Tell Me You Love Me), Philip Baker Hall (The Loop), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Do Not Disturb), Taylor Handley (Hidden Palms), Shiloh Fernandez (Jericho), Tom Everett Scott (Grace Under Fire), Regina King (Leap of Faith), Sarah Wynter (The Dead Zone), Dave Franco (Do Not Disturb), Lucy Hale (Bionic Woman), John Schneider (The Dukes of Hazzard), Donald Sutherland (Commander in Chief), and Blair Underwood (L.A. Law). To start, it looks like Bradley Whitford (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) is returning to NBC for his third TV series on the peacock network. This time around, the Emmy winner will both star in and produce a single-camera comedy called Off Duty. In the series pilot, Whitford will play a formerly legendary police detective who ends up causing problems for his new partner, played by Romany Malco (Weeds).

The Dead Zone

Johnny Smith (Anthony Michael Hall), a teacher in the small town of Heritage, is involved in a serious car accident that leaves him in a six year coma. When he awakens, he discovers that his fiancee, Sarah Bracknell (Nicole DeBoer), gave birth to their son Johnny "JJ" (Spencer Achtymichuk, later Connor Price) and has since married Sheriff Walt Bannerman (Chris Bruno). Johnny also begins to have visions of past and future events, triggered by physical contact with other people. His doctors attribute this power to Johnny's mind using a previously unused area of his brain (a "dead zone") to compensate for areas injured in the accident.
