TV Land has announced that they’ve officially renewed The Exes and The Soul Man for new seasons.
Last month, it was reported that The Exes had been picked up for 10 more episodes as part of season two (ala Happily Divorced). It turns out that they’ll be considered season three instead.
Cedric the Entertainer announced that his show, The Soul Man, had been picked up for season two last month. The news was apparently a bit premature as the deal hadn’t been finalized yet. When Soul Man goes back into production, Yvette Lee Bowser will replace Phoef Sutton as showrunner.
Both shows will return in June 2013 with 10 new episodes. Here’s the press release with some additional details:
