TV show description:
This game show was formerly titled Howie Mandel’s White Elephant and is based on the popular holiday party game/gift exchange sometimes called Yankee Trader.

At the start of each episode, the first of several contestants selects an unmarked package from the show’s warehouse. Each prize is worth thousands of dollars — luxury cars, exotic trips, jewelry, and VIP experiences.

The subsequent players are faced with a dilemma: does he/she steal a prize that has already been revealed, or does he/she take a chance with another unopened prize, hoping that what’s inside is even better? A person with a revealed prize can block a theft attempt only once per game.

At the end of the round, the contestant with the lowest-valued prize goes home with nothing. The remaining contestants move on to the next round. When there are only two contestants left, they each choose a cash box at random. One of the available boxes is worth $250,000 while the others have significantly less.

At this point, the players have a big decision to make: do they keep the prizes they have or, try to take their opponent’s prizes as well. And what will the other person do?

If both players choose to “keep mine,” they each keep all of the prizes they’ve won. If one player chooses “take it all” and the other chooses to “keep mine,” the player that chose to “take it all” will go home with all the prizes — theirs and their opponent’s. But if both choose to “take it all,” they both go home with nothing. space

I am so glad this celebration of deceit and greed got cancelled; we’ve just got it in South Africa and we need low morals like a hole in the head. Heck, we’re in Africa.

BEST GAME SHOW IN A LONG TIME. RENEW, RENEW, RENEW. For once a show based on the idea, you make the right decision or the wrong decision. There are no sub prizes. Nothing to make you feel OH WELL I WON SOMETHING. Make or break just like real life.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Renew, Renew, Renew.

I definitely think this show should be cancelled; but, not because of Howie. I seriously think that sooner or later, if the show is allowed to continue, that some guest will become so angery about loosing they will harm the winner. I can see someone even going so far as to kill.
The show definitely has no socially redeeming value. All it does is teach someone to be the best lier and the most greedy.
I am very familiar with the “Yankee trader” style of gift swapping. The major difference, at least in any gift swapping that I participated in, the value of the gifts were never even close to what is at stake in this “Take it All” game.
Bottom line, CANCEL the show.

OMG what a big dissapointment. Howie just drags this show out with his excessive blabber – the same as when he hosted “Deal or no Deal!” Cancel this show already!
