This was a great show and FOX is making a mistake trusting in the STUPID Nielson ratings that don’t truly show the number of viewers/fans. to cancel this show after the great cliffhanging season finale is a terrible mistake, this show seems like it is just getting good.

this series is beast i liek it so much it sad that they cancelled it for that gay show dollhouse. they should just scrap dollhouse and keep terminator the sarah cronicles for one the character development got me hooked to the story line and the fact they fianlly put a girl terminator who is good and after the first episode i watched i fell in love with the show and im really really want it to come back if we cant get it back on fox and if it goes to dvd i hope that it is the same cast becuase that wht got you your fans and if you chnage it then i guess you will lose every thing you worked for so plz may the series continue and live on ( TERMINATOR THE SARAH CRONICLES IS FRIKEN GOOD AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I really hope TSCC can be back and film the third season. At least make a final scene to fulfill our curiosity. If the show end like this it is just leave a unanswer question in the fans mind and I would really like to see how the show will end.

Even though it started out slow it has slowly become interesting over time. I truley hope that this program does not get cancelled , I feel with the new movie being released that this will bring people back to the show in the new season. And I hope its there for us all to see.

Like others, I watched, enjoyed and hoped for more. The last episode was the “more” I was hoping for. If the writers can do more of the same it should be given another try…say a limited “test” number of shows with the storyline juiced. I have spoken to several people who didn’t watch the series, but were shown the last episode (DVR) and were really impressed by it. To a person they would be tuning in next year, if given the chance by a renewal.

Please bring it back!

This was a great finale. The trouble is though that the series took far, far too long to get going. The vast majority of episodes plodded along with nothing much happening to speak of. They just didn’t give TTSCC enough word of mouth juice to get people to flock to it.

The acting was flat and monotone, and this combined with the very slow moving story made it a very hard hook. If each episode was like the finale then it might have brought in more viewers.

The program may have appeared to not do anything in season two but it did show John Connor emerging from a boy to a leader and finally accepting his “fate”. I loved the ending of the season and really hope that we get another season. However, I wonder how John will fit into everything since he has not become the leader as he teleported over this part of his life. It would appear that Kyle Reese became the big leader instead…..so hope it comes back. Love it!

They have got to go ahead & produce another season. Whilst the ratings over in the UK aren’t massive compared to the ‘mainstream’ soaps – it does have a loyal following & I’d be gutted if they axed it; especially at this point in the storyline.

When watching the Terminator films I always wondered what happened to Sarah Connor while John was growing up thinking it would make a brilliant film so was positively thrilled when the TV series came out and haven’t missed an episode. Even the apparent red herrings like the love interest for John brought back from the future helped develop the characters’ humanity.
The last episode was brilliant and worthy successor to the films. For me, it’s the best TV show of the week. I dim the lights and indulge. Please, please, please let there be a series 3!

I want the show to come back so badly. The ending left me breathless and it even invaded my dreams because it resounded so strongly. I loved the ending because in some ways it opened the door to the unresolved future where John has to go out and start his saving of the world. Because lets face it this show is not going to run for 20 or even 10 years to get close to the apocalypse again. On the other hand the writers have done such an amazing job with the story I really want to see where they take it! Hopefully Fox will be smart and keep the show running!!!

I watch two shows each week TSCC and 24. If TSCC ends, I’ll still watch 24 so my FOX viewing will be off 50%. I have never seen Idol and never will. Am I sorry if the series ends this way. NO. I prefer for every episode to be as good as possible. There was a sequence of weak episodes this season that might be characterized as the ‘crazy Sarah’ plotline. I think a show like this could survive one episode like that, but it began to seem a trend, and I bet many viewers tuned out for good.
To be renewed I am sure the writers will have to show a full season ready to film with no obvious clunkers and really good story lines. Can they do that after the past uneven season – I hope so!

Terminator is one of my top 5 shows that I anxiously wait to air.

Each episode has suprised me.

The finale caught me by suprised. When he faces his father and uncle and Cameron. I loudly was in awe. It actually brought my nephew running in from the other room. My neighbor came over and told them, I called my family and friends before they had seen the episode. What an awesome episode.

The terminator to turn out to be on John’s side was a nice and shocking suprise.

I actually cried at the end. For John to meet his dad! That was stellar writing. But then them not to know who John Connor was. That was a shocking twist.

We can’t be left in the dark. The show has to come back.

Why are they canceling TSCC????? This is a great show. I always look forward to watching each episode. The good shows always seem to get canceled or end too early, especially when they are scifi. They are making it so you don’t want to get “hooked” on a show only to be disappointed when they end. Please come back with another season.

I bet its canceled. Fox has canceled every show I like on their network, its why I no longer try and get attached or really watch too much on Fox anymore. That’s what Fox does…let the audience get attached and then get rid of it. A few of my shows were already mentioned, but Arrested Development was an amazing show; in fact its its in my top 3 of all time favs. If Fox had their way they would cancel baseball and football. I think they should give it one more season because I expect ratings to go up after the movie comes out this year. I hope they also take into account those, like me, who watch it on Hulu and other means of streaming.

I wish less shows were cancelled – and even if they were, that some of the cable channels might pick them up instead. If TSCC does get canned, then why can’t Sci-Fi pick it up? It seems like perfect Sci-Fi fodder and at 3m (more with the tivo/DVR audience) would be a great draw for a cable station, surely?

The only thing I hate more than cancelled shows, is shows not allowed to finish out the storyline.

I cannot believe that this show is being cancelled. We should be cancelling all these stupid reality shows and even some of the newest series starting to come out. They have nothing to them. Terminator can’t be stopped at this point. The latest show opened sooo many doors to keep it continuing. John is now in the future with his father, uncle and his all time robot or sybor. Whatever. Now what happens to save the world. Also the other machine went back in time with John. There is so much to be told at this point. Please don’t leave ues hanging. The show has been on little over a year and I am a new viewer and loving the show. Thing it’s a shame they don’t realize maybe some people are just now discovering it. This isn’t the normal kind of show I watch. I had never seen the movies or knew the plot but I really started to get into the show so much I watched the movies. Shame it they can’t give any a show an honest chance to build a following. First seasons are dull sometimes just for the fact the are building the characters personalities. Season 2 has been awesome and I’m sure with a cliffhanger like that and the movie coming out there will be more interest. They just need to give it chance and not prematurely cancel this show.

If you include the Digital recording (PVR,DVR,Tivo) recordings of TSCC the ratings goes up 36%, and that doesn’t count streamed video. That and the strong market for DVD Box Sets where the show hasn’t rolled out yet, and also the iTunes sales the ratings for the show don’t show the whole picture.

I went so far to check lists of most torrented shows and it is perennially in the top 10 list for every one of the random weeks I checked.

I understand that some of these are not revenue generators for shows or networks but they could always leverage it like NBC does with the extra Heroes content you can only get from them.

The show is the bait, the stories are the hook, and the extra content is the reel that brings all of them in, which makes them watch more shows and want more content, and then they have a captive audience from all of the shows fans.

It’s funny that a show like this – which I love – doesn’t do very well. I’m not too surprised though. The thing may be that a show like this attracts viewers with an imagination – people who like to think. But when the competition has Wife Swap and Howie Do It? the braindead majority flock to that sort of mindless mush. The producers also made a mistake after the first few episodes of the 2nd season – they had WAY too many episodes without much action or suspense.

This can’t be the end?! Why would they leave us with so many questions? Is Weaver indeed the same as the one on the Sub? It seems to be. But why did she travel to the past? And what are her intentions by bringing John to the future? What will happen to Sarah and Ellison? And what about John Henry?? What will his part in all this be? What will happen now that John has met his father, and Derek (again!)? And which part will the “real” Cameron play in all this? The scene with petting the dog indicates she’s not a terminator (yet?).

Show cancelled? Fine, but this is the mother of all open endings!! This is pure torment. This just screams for another season….

I would really like to see a Season 3 being announced, since the writers made this last episode uncomplete in my feelings, i really want to see what will happen next. I really hope that Fox will consider keeping this show on the air for at least one more full season, since it has alot of potential but it must be used right. In Belgium TSCC Season 1 is just being aired and has a lot of succes, like most europeans I watched the show online and saw the last episode of Season 2 last night. Someone with a brain at Fox and decision power has to keep this series alive, it’s kicking and has so much more potential, Season 1 was crippled by the author strike, Season 2 was really kicking, it is only getting started, Seasons more are yet to come. I love this show, and I hoping that it will be renewed and because of the forthcoming movie that Fox execs will give it another chance. But, if it’s not, at least the final episode was a doozie and probably my favorite of both seasons. It gave a lot of food for thought for its viewers and, in a way, something of a conclusion albiet not one that fans would want to show to end on. At least we got something unlike, say, Firefly.

HI, I’m from Germany and I would like to point out that there are a LOT of Terminator fans over here watching the SCC online instead of viewing Season One which is aired right now over here. So, that means, there are actually a lot more people watching all around the world who are not noticed and at the same time there is the same amount of people who are not recognized in ratings since they skip the actual airings in their countries.
SCC should not be terminated and I hope the movie will help generate enough buzz and pressure for the executives.

I have been watching this from the beginning and am thoroughly enjoying it. This is the first time I’ve ever taken the time to post about a television show, I just felt I had to speak up.

FOX, I would like to point out a perhaps overlooked thought on this ratings “problem”. I for one don’t watch television, I watch the recasts of the shows on the internet because it allows me to watch what I want, when I want without needing a TV / TIVO / Cable or the like. I’m sure I’m not the only one, so take a moment and look at the website hits for the year, add those to the “ratings system”, and see where you end up. This is by far my favorite show to watch and I will be sorely disappointed if it in fact has been or will be canceled (Much like another favorite of mine that walked this apparent road, “Firefly”.)

I am a Sci-Fi fan and will continue to watch shows like this. If there is room for Dancing with the Stars, Survivor, Soap Operas, and the like (None of which I will watch), then surely there is room for a Terminator: The Sara Conner Chronicles.

The last episode was such an amazing cliffhanger that cancelling now is a pure cruelty. I want to know what happens next. I suspect that in the future where John ended up there is NO John Connor and I think that Cameron he saw might not be a machine but a real person (I mean – why would a robot care to pet a dog?!). Maybe future had changed, and in this one Kyle’s calling the shots and Derek… Derek’s alive! His death was so… “ha? what’s just happen… I must have sth wrong… he couldn’t just die like that…” I want the answers.

Also, the other thing that really annoys me is when execs don’t even give a show the chance to end things right. A perfect example is Joan Of Arcadia…their numbers started dipping, so the execs killed it right as it was getting interesting, and left everyone who watched the show hanging with no resolution to the plot. I’m sure they’re sitting in their offices thinking “well, it’s all about the numbers”, but sometimes, it’s not. Sometimes, it’s about having something on your channel worth watching. Sometimes, it’s about forgoing that next lowest-common-denominator idea in favor of something with some substance. And when the numbers fail, fine. I understand cancelling a series because–for some reason–it’s just not hitting it off with a large enough audience. However, give the show notice–let them have the rest of a season (or another shortened season) to resolve plotlines and bring an end to the story, so people aren’t left hanging with no end in sight. It’s stupid–no, worse, cruel–to drop a series in the middle of the most interesting part of it just because you’re not getting your numbers. Also, I wonder if the numbers include those who either record the show to watch later or those who watch online…because not everyone who likes a show can be home every time it’s on because of many reasons. I ALWAYS watch this show, and if I can’t be there when it’s on, I record it or watch it online (as I did tonight to catch up with the last show). If execs cancel this show, it certainly wouldn’t be their first mistake (or their last), but it would be among their most disappointing ones. This show is worth a timeslot, guys and gals, and the movie coming out can only help your show, especially if you’re smart about the way you advertise the two. Someday, the reality trend will run its course, and people will want substance and longevity in their TV programs, and if you kill off everything worthwhile just because you don’t have 10 million viewers every week, you’ll lose out on a good thing, and because of that, so will we.

Personally, I find series like this one fascinating. I also find it amazing that studio execs seem more willing to give the next stupid reality show more of a chance than a quality program like the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I mean, how many more Big Brothers, Amazing Races, Survivors, and the like do we need? Every time I turn on the TV, crap like that is on every frickin channel, and every time they come up with another idea for a show like that, it gets more stupid than the last. What does it take to make execs realize that there’s such thing as “reality” overload? How about you take off the next I Love New York or Rock of Love 23 or Survivor: Some Island You’ve Never Heard Of and leave on shows like this one?

The episode, as always, was brilliant. I do not say this lightly. It is an excellent show with an outstanding cast and whatever it takes, this show deserves to be saved. Fox should know that The X-Files struggled with ratings at first, that Twenty-Four took a few seasons to develop a large enough fanbase. It’s unthinkable that such quality could be cut short. Unthinkable. Ridiculously bad “entertainment” persists, but one of the best series ever — EVER — is not bringing in the numbers so “hasta la vista, baby!”

LOVE this show. The last few episodes (with the exception of the sleep disorder one) have been kick ass, and I just can’t wait for them to come on. The last episode was a real mind blower and I hope they find some way to resolve it…it can’t just end there. Give it to Sci-Fi channel or bring it back for finale episodes, but too many questions left unanswered, and I hate that. Loved the entire cast, especially Summer Glau with the odd tension between her and John Connor. (like the Cyclon hybrids and humans on BSG!)–and interesting that Weaver is trying to save the world also…but her agenda is very mysterious. Have some guts and bring it back! Put it on after Idol and don’t put months and months of hiatus between episodes!

Seriously? The SERIES finale??

Okay, just info as to where I’m coming from: “The Terminator” and “Judgement Day” — both awesome. T3 — stinky.

With Tscc, the first couple of episodes in season 1 really had much the same problem as t3 — not a lot of “story”, and kind of slow moving.

In season 2 we had a couple of awesome episodes early on, then stalled out a bit with a few episodes going by like “filler”. Finally in these last few things are taking some real shape, and now it’s going to be cancelled??

The biggest issue this series has had all along is that it was advertised like it was going to be all action, and then came in with a relatively slow moving Lifetime Original about “feelings”.

Okay, after all that, all of you reading this are saying “this guy’s annoying and hates the show”. The first part may be true, but the last 6 episodes have taken me from being luke-warm on the show to LOVING it!

The show finally seemed to have been hitting its stride and sort of “gently accelerating”.

While I really enjoyed this last episode (and really most of the 2nd season), trying to tie up too many “loose ends” all at once has made hash out of a decent storyline. How can you continue now? The show continues with flipping back and forth with John in the apocalypic future and Sarah working at Walmart with nothing more to do? Or John arbitrarily decides to go back to the “present”, with mom — Derrick and Cameron “dead”, and Ellison shuttling Savannah back and forth to school?

I agree with many of the posters here who are tired of the total crap that fills every timeslot — reality reality reality CSI CSI: NY CSL: FL CSL:AK law and order 1 through 99, etc etc.. so we end up with a very few shows out there that are actually a little bit unique and fresh, because they don’t do as well as the very formulaic shows.

Tscc overall story has been good. Individual episodes have been a bit slow.

Please FOX do not cancel.

If FOX cancels, SOMEBODY ought to be able to pick it up and do something good with it.

I would also really like to see the show come back for a third season, but with ratings this low, it is very unlikely to happen. Although several posters have mentioned the very large online community for the show, it must be kept in mind, that TV networks are not samaritans who just love to make the fan of a show happy. The actors also don’t show up on the set, because they like the story, but because they need to get something between their teeth now and then.
The ultimate goal for TV networks is to increase the numbers on their bank accounts, for which it is necessary to gather as much people as possible in front of the TV at the specific time, other companies have bought airing slots to advertise their own merchandise. If a show cannot achieve this, it must be considered to search for alternatives. As sad as it may be

Although I was in many ways satisfied with the last episode, it definitely opened up a whole lot of new questions I’d love to see resolved.
If it was very generous of Fox to play the initial episode after an NFL playoff game, then can we agree that it was moderately cruel of them to then move the show to a night where it was *competing* with football? Fox did a good job of marketing the show up front, but then seemingly decided to drop marketing efforts because the ratings dropped off. Isn’t the point of advertising to attract attention to shows? I hope another network picks it up and it does well for them. Fox has let too many good shows be canceled right when they were hitting their stride.

Please dont cancel Sarah Connor Chronicles.It’s the best program you have on FOX. And my family look forward to watching it every Friday.And if we miss it that night we watch it on our PC. So we hope you’ll bring it back soon.Or if you do cancel it We hope the Sicfi channel will bring it back. I hope you show how Weaver is involved in the fight against Skynet. And show if it’s Tyson’s son who is running Skynet.Now that would be interesting .And why Cameron gave John her chip? I don’t understand why all networks go by the rateings and not how the fans of TV programs like the shows? Why the networks don’t have a web site for people to vote on there favorite programs.? So they will know what we the people who watch the show like and don’t like.

I’m an Italian fan of Terminator. I really hope to see the third season of this beautiful serial TV. Even if I love the trilogy of Terminator this serial tv is well done and I want to say that also in Europe and Italy it’s followed also with subtitles because people like me is impatient to see the show while we are to the begin of the 2 season yet.
So I really pray to see again John Connor and his friends in action.

I hope it comes back for a third season, but I really don’t expect it too. I have enjoyed watch this show, but I can understand if the rating aren’t there the network has to do what is best for the network. What gets in my skin is the network, writers, producers all knew this show was on the bubble. Why leave the fans with soon many question, if you don’t know for sure you are coming back? They could have very well tied up loose ends. The only show I have ever seen done this is Journeyman. Why start a new story arc with John going to the future?, leaving the fans to wonder.

The Networks and writers drag their feet with too many fluff episodes these days to make anything short of some epic cult following for shows to do well. How many more cop, crime and court shows can people really tolerate?

I don’t watch anything on tv these days either. HD download streaming with no commercials cuts a nice 20 minute chuck of what would be time wasted.

Honestly, I think the show killed itself.

How much of season 2 was just waiting fr something to happen?

By the time they got some headway into any action or real plot twists, it was too little, too late.

With what is happening with the storyline, we should of been up to this point a few months ago.

And as for Summer Glau, has she even had a full script page of dialog since November?

I totally agree. Sci Fi should pick this up in place of Galactia, which I loved. However,I love this show and would like to see what happens next season. The finale was awesome and leaves a lot of questions. I was really pissed when they killed Derek. I am glad to see he was on the finale. He has come a long way since 90210 and is way sexy (lucky Megan Fox). I hope they take it in the direction of the future for John. It looks as though Cameron is real and maybe was his love. Come back to us Terminator; The Sarah Connor Chronicals.

I NEED another season. This show still has a lot of story to tell. I’m sad that Brian Austin Green got killed off without a spectatular send-off, but I can live with that.

They can take the next season in so many ways! I hope that this doesn’t get the axe.

It’s one of my favorites. I’d hate to see it go. I agree that the ratings are out-of-whack. We can’t all be sitting in front of our tvs in the evening like in the 50’s. People work all hours. Plus, the internet allows us to watch online. Is that even taken into consideration? My tivo is very busy every day recording what I want to see when I can’t be home.

Please save this show.

This is the best show on television right now and unfortunately is broadcast in some seriously sh1tty time periods. It needs another chance and if Sci Fi had any brains they’d pick this up to replace Galactica on their schedule.

I think it would be a shame to cancel the series. I still remember the first episode and have seen every one up until last night. Like stated above, a lot of things are still unanswered and I think the start of a third season could prosper greatly.

If FOX doesn’t want to continue airing this show because of the ratings, why doesn’t the SciFi channel pick it up? If TTSCC gets canceled before they do a third season, I’m going to be really pissed. I’m sick and tired of all the copycat spin-off forensic/police procedurals and reality TV shows.

Also, when will the TV networks wake up and realize that the current Nielsen ratings system is stupid and needs to be junked??? The TV networks aren’t accurately measuring the true audience of a show, especially a show like Terminator:TSCC. Are they measuring DVR viewings? Purchased downloads from iTunes? Viewings on Hulu.com???? I betcha they’re not seriously tracking any of those stats.

As a cliffhanger to another season- great show. As a series finale- a so-so show. Too many questions not answered (Who is the other Terminator? Where is Cromartie? How did he get Cameron’s chip? Is Sarah gone for good?). The writers did an admirable job in trying to wrap up the story in a short period of time (since they expect there not to be a 3rd season) but you could tell they were rushed to tie up all the loose ends (the SkyNet flyer; the 3 dots seen by Sarah; T1000’s real intent). I am sad that its done and I mad at FOX for ending it. Season 3 has such promise- especially with the new movie coming out.
But this comes down to the Networks viewership expectations which are ridiculous. TV has changed, society and culture has changed, so has TV viewing habits. We no longer have time to sit in front of TV at specific hours on specific days. That is why VCR’s and now DVR’s were invented. And Internet has allowed us to change our viewing habits. Forget illegal downloads- networks post episodes on their own websites. Yet those of us recording episodes to watch later, or watching online, are not counted as official viewers, so we are not part of any demographic. Networks are dumb and foolish not to consider that demographic. And its us the viewer who suffers. But, Network Exec’s will fill that timeslot with some fluff reality tvshow cause it will make them all kinds of advertising dollars. But really good drama (ie. character and action shows) are cancelled. Maybe a real Judgement Day is not such a bad idea afterall
