The Assets: ABC Pulls Mini-Series After Two Episodes

The Assets canceledTo no surprise, ABC has pulled its very low-rated mini-series The Assets from the Thursday lineup.

For the next three weeks, the 10pm timeslot will be filled by Shark Tank reruns. It’s unclear what will fill the timeslot after that. Scandal is expected to return on February 27th.

It’s unclear what will become of the remaining six episodes of The Assets.

What do you think? Did you enjoy the series? Would you like to see the leftover episodes released online, on DVD as part of a full series set, or aired on Saturday nights?

I am surprised they can’t at least find another time slot. I was looking forward to learning some of the facts behind this story. History is important…give it to the History channel or someone that will care about it.

It’s all about money, isn’t it ABC? WHY NOT AIR IT, YOU ALREADY PAID FOR IT. Atleast put it online so the people who did wath can finish it! Or Give it to Netflix!

I am very disappointed to learn that the remainder of “The Assets” was pulled. We were visiting friends and after a card game, the four of us went down stairs to watch the show and were startled to see “Shark ‘Tank.” I hope that the remaining episodes will be available on the internet and/or a DVD will be offered. It is so dispiriting seeing TV programing being dumbed-down.

I am shocked! ABC blew it by pulling the plug on The Assets. This was a smart program, full of intrigue, based on fact, fun to watch. Seriously, I will not be watching ABC during this time slot until the return of Scandal. I prefer programming that challenges me, draws me in or educates me about life or history. There is an over abundance of sitcoms and reality shows OR programming aimed at middle school boys. This is beyond disappointing. It is frustrating and feels like a lack of trust once again, just when I was feeling comfortable with a network’s programming selection.

My wife and I are very disappointed to learn The Assets has been cancelled. It was one of the few shows we looked forward to. Please reconsider, move to another time slot or release online

It was only going to be 8 weeks for crying out loud. They get us hooked and with no warning pull it!
I loved it. I thought it was intriguing.

I think they should air the last 6 episodes on Saturday night.

Thought that this was one of the best things I’ve seen on TV in 20 years. It is based on a true story and is historical. If you want to continue to present the stuff that all of the young cabbage heads prefer go ahead I won’t be watching.

I really enjoyed The Assets and looked forward to seeing it this evening. To my surprise and disappointment it was not on and then I learned it was cancelled. I thought it was very good and engaging. Guess there is no room for quality on TV… Shame on you ABC.

I can’t believe they cancelled the show called the assets. I have been looking forward to it all week. Come on it was only an eight week mini series. Of course I want to see the rest of the six remaining episodes. Seriously who wants to watch reruns of the shark tank you might as well put the show back on. This upsets me, I just can’t believe it. They didn’t even give it a chance. Now I have to go out and buy the season if that is even going to be an option. Please bring it back, I really enjoyed it. It looks like I’m not the only one since I am the 95 comment about this.
