Despite the task force being fully convinced of Ames’ guilt, Sandy seeks more definitive proof to convince the Justice Department to proceed with their own investigation. I certainly hope ABC will air the remaining 6 episodes of The Assets. It is a great REAL show, full of intrigue, and not one of the stupid reality shows or trashy TV. People are anxious for good programming. Put it back on!

Keep checking tv-guide to see when Assets is on. Was suppose to be on tonight at 10 o’clock, instead Shark Tank. Finally went on line to check-and found out it is cancelled. How can you cancel a program after 2 showing? ABC never gives these programs a chance. They rather put these stupid reality programs on

Finally a new show that is not reality TV and it gets taken off. Don’t you realize that there are still people that want to watch television and not trash.

Unbelieveable that ABC would cancel something that is true and real! This series does not need name actors just tell the story as it is. What a shame that ratings dictate TV shows. This is an extreme loss to the American public.

Both my husband and I are very disappointed Assets has been cancelled. There are so few programs we enjoy on TV and this would definitely one to add to our LIKE LIST!

CAROL January 23, 2014 at 8:28 pm

We are really disappointed this program was cancelled. An intelligent, compelling drama; with very good acting. Another strike-out for ABC.

Cynthia January 23, 2014 at 8:06 pm

Please air the rest of the series”The Assets”. It is a true story and part of the history of our country. I cannot believe it would not be of interest to many people.

I have no idea why ABC would cancel this show. I was enjoying it. It has more intrigue and story line than a lot of the other crap that is on the air now. If all 8 episodes were filmed, why not air them. Since they can’t be shown on tv, why not put them on so that the people that were interested in it can watch the whole mini-series.

This seemed like an interesting and well produced show. Why cancel it after just 2 episodes? Too much substance and not enough fluff? Once again, ABC disappoints.

Kim January 23, 2014 at 10:00 am

Really! How can an intelligent show be cancelled after 2 episodes. If there are eight shows filmed, show them! M*A*S*H* was going to be cancelled after one season, but it caught on during the summer reruns. There aren’t very many shows on television that have more to it than sex, stupidity, and drugs. When there are shows that can entertain and test your brain power, they get cancelled.

Barb January 23, 2014 at 3:09 pm

Well said. Thank you.

Give it a chance. Two episodes? You’ve already shot eight, so,air them. At least put them on the watch ABC app.

MELODIE M. January 22, 2014 at 10:12 pm

Looking all over for the final episodes. Why not just air them. Very good, very intelligent, and you hooked us after one episode.

Carmela January 22, 2014 at 8:33 pm

Why was this show canceled? This was such a great series! Please bring it back!!!!

Harry-O January 22, 2014 at 5:35 pm

Cancelled? Jeez-O’-Pete! Gimme an ever loving break. No wonder I was unable to find it on the TV last Thursday. It was an outstanding story. Not for nothing, is it, that was the first anything I’d watched on ABC in several years. Most of their shows are pure trash. But seeing that “The Assets” has went the way of the dinosaur, so will ABC go on my TV, never to be watched again in this household during primetime.

Jeff January 21, 2014 at 8:45 pm

Are you kidding me? Please don’t cancel this show. This is every bit as good, no better than The Americans and I love that show. BRING IT BACK, BRING IT BACK, BRING IT BACK!
