To respond to the person above. It is great to know that you will be a great mom. But knowing how to care for children isnt the only skill you will need. You need to go to college and earn a degree so you can give your child the best start at life. I know this the hard way. My husband and I have had a great life. We both had great jobs. But when the economy went sore are jobs became in jeopardy . I work for a school and My husband builds Toyotas. We have no educational background to fall back on.. and now we are scared. How will we provide for our children now.?Will we lose our home.?My sister and her husband have college degrees and when their jobs were questioned they found new job openings quickly.. even though it would mean moving out of state they have way more options then my husband and I . I want you to stay in school and go to college. Then you will be more balanced with a good parenting skills and a great career.

i am a teen and i would love to have a baby.... i know they're hard work, i have two baby brothers that i take care of all the time. i've wanted a child for a long time. i realize i need to get a couple of things in my life straight before i bring a baby into my world but i know i would be a good mother... i've proven it with my brothers. i know some of you are probably thinking that i don't really know because i'm not ACTUALLY their mother but i know how hard it is. i see my parents struggles, i help out with the boys, i feel like their mother most days. i even know how to take care of them better than most of the teens on the show!!! some of them didn't even know how to change a diaper or mix a bottle!!! i learned that when i was about six with all the cousins i have. i know i would do a good job as a mother. no parents is perfect but i know i wouldn't fail. i think that some people can be parents as teens if they know how to take care of the child and have the things it takes to take care of the child properly.... i'm not going to have a kid yet. my boyfriend (whom i am completely in love with) isn't ready to be a daddy yet, and i won't lose him over something like that. but he knows how i feel and he knows that if (i like to think when not if) we get married i want to have a baby right off. he knows how important this is to me. i love children. i always have. i always will. kids can be annoying and a hassle sometimes but for the most part if you know how to take care of them properly then they're great. i can't wait to be a mother. but i won't sacrifice my family (which would probably disown me lol) and my boyfriend over this. if you are a teen and you are ready to be a parent i encourage you to think long and hard about it. having a baby is a lifelong commitment. it's even more than marriage. a baby takes a lot of hard work and a lot of money and a lot of time. if you think it over thoroughly and talk it out with the person 9if there is one) who would be the baby's other parent and you still think you might want a baby then maybe you are ready. but don't jump into this blindly. i almost did and i am seriously glad i didn't. i know how much different my life would be if i had. think it through completely. and if your like me then remember kids are wonderful and everything but they aren't the only way to feel loved. friends can be a big help too.

This show is interesting. i like it. i had my son at 17. i want more kids, and i had him because i love kids. I didnt have a bf at the time. but i wanted 2 b a single mom. getting pregnant was the best thing that ever happened 2 me. im going to a local university, and im getting my first job at the university(i m 21 now). and i couldnt b happier. i encourage young ppl to have children if they think theyre ready. dont let the old hags tell u ur not a good parent. u can have everything u want, make the best life for ur kids, and still do what u want! its not as hard as every1 says, being a mother so young. its only hard if u make it hard. i have a great relationship my bf( who wants to b my sons father-figure, im still skeptical. i love being a single mother), and a good relationship with my friends and family. be a mom at any age. its the other ppl that think u wouldnt b a good parent. its more about what u think. :)

this show was a good idea. it teaches teens that being a mother isn't easy. on the otherhand, it's hard for the babies to be away from their parents. yes, there are cameras for the parents to use, but again, think of the kids. what the question is- why is 'the baby borrowers' canceled?

LOVED this show. And I don't think its shameful at all to borrow babies. If the parents are ok with it, it's no one else's business. I thought it was a great way to show kids that babies are not a joke - and that this is REAL life. Maybe it kept a couple of teens from having babies themselves.
