If this will not happen again with NBC then the least you could do for your dissapointed fans whom presumably you care nothing about is sell the rights to the show to a different network. HBO would be an awesome candidate for this series seeing as how they can do way more with violence, language, nudity, etc. I hope someone sees good in this series and brings it back before time runs out.

Gosh I’ve been praying that somebody would pick up this show for the last 2 years. NBC is honestly one of the dumbest networks EVER for dropping this show. You know how many viewers the show had in general?! Can you blame the show for having low ratings because it started right in the middle of NCAA March Maddness? No. You know who you can blame for everything, it’s NBC. This show had more potential than any other show I have seen….But oh well… I guess there’s nothing I can do about it now. I’ll just buy the 1st season on DVD and remember the times that me and my brother would watch that show and talk about how awesome it was.

first of all i have been waiting for the black donnellys to come out with season two or something related to the black donnellys. i bought the dvd series a while ago and ive shown this series to many ppl who i felt wouldnt like this series. ive shown my family, my girlfreinds family, most of my freinds and they all love it!! everyone i show this series to is upset over only one fact, and thats because no one knows wat happens next! even my 65 yr old grand mother loved the series. i agree with most of these ppl and they say BAD F’N MOVE!! dont come out with a good series if u cant finish what you started. please and thank you

Im from all the way PORTUGAL, an European country and I freaking loved this series!

Season was awesome.
For me, its like better than Prison Break and Heroes.

Hope NBC falls back on the decision.

whoever decided that the black donnellys wasnt good enough for a second series and beyond is an idiot and obviously knows nothing about great television. the acting throughout was excellent. coupled with top quality writing and direction this had the makings of a hell of a series. the first and last episodes leave the audience gagging for more. this was by far the best series on t.v. people in suits pull your heads out and low it.

I can not believe that this show is not coming back, it was exceptional! We had lots of friends come over and we’d all watch the show together. This is very disappointing NBC. Hopefully some other channel will see the potential in this cast.

I was dissapointed when The Black Donnellys was taken of the air. I saw a little of The Spranos, hints of The God Father, and goodfellas. It even had some of the qualities I enjoyed watching the shield. I was addicted to the show and had the wind knocked out of me when it was cancelled. I bought the series on dvd and added it to my collection. I think FX would make a good home for this series

How many more of these dumb “reality” shows do we need? I watch tv to get AWAY from reality….. And these “reality” shows have nothing to do with reality anyway. Seriously. Let’s do a show with the troops in Iraq. Or how about one that is in Hell’s Kitchen with real mobsters? But the reality is, tv caters to people that think that what they see on these “reality” shows is really truly how life is….. Bring back the Donnelly boys. being irish with brothers of my own, it was cool to finally be able to relate to a show on tv. im tired of getting really into a show and having what ever !@#$ing network running it deside to pull it no matter how popular it is!!!theres so many! firefly! undeclaired! over there! and THEN SHOWS LIKE “WILL AND !@#$ING GRACE” AND “GILMORE GIRLS” stay on the air for like 8 to 10 years! ive never posted a comment about any show untill NOW! this has gotta stop!! what dose sombody have to do to start a BOYCOTT??? if i knew how id have done it by now! the public are the ones watching the shows, and we should be doing somthing to keep the ones we enjoy.

I just watched what I think was the last episode of this show on HD TV and it was awesome! It only left me wanting more. NBC was foolish to pull it. I watched every week and loved it until they canceled it. Someone should bring it back for a second season.

Don’t take this show off the air. Bring it back for a fall season. It’s a good show. My husband and I looked for it on t.v. for weeks after the last episode. There wasn’t even a warning that it was going to be taken off the air. We think that you should give it another chance.

The problem is there’s too many good shows on tv nowadays. Heroes, LOST, 24, Prison Break, The Black Donnellys… they’re all brilliant. For me, I think that BD was the best overall show… but it might not be for NBC. It probably would better suit a different network, but it’s unlikely it’ll get picked up… I’ve never seen that happen before (anyone care to point to some examples where an ongoing show swapped networks?).

HDNet is good news, and it is a good deal for them. But this does not leave NBC off the hook for butchering a masterpiece mid-season.

The complete audacity of NBC to pull this sh*t is rediculous. Take a brilliant cast, brilliant director, and amazing writing — then replace it with a reality show?

And they lose the studio60 (mathew perry fans) market, so they can’t function and decapitate themselves by pulling TBDs!?!

The Black Donnellys is just evidence that network execs have no f**king idea how to run a network.

The pilot episode of the show was better than any other pilot of any show ever made hands down, and NBC can’t even let them run a wholse season?

Shameful, NBC must burn and pay for their crimes against humanity!

that show was fantastic! the plot was EXCELLENT! and it’s just to be replaced by some dumb reality show that will run it’s course in one season only to be replaced by some other dumb reality tv show! tisk, that was a very quality tv show! ALTHOUGH, it was semi-violent but it is really any worse than any of the other trash we see on tv?¿ if this show does not get aired again is there any chance of it coming out on DVD?

Oh, thank Christ they are getting rid of this show! Don’t get me wrong, I am a HUGE BD fan, but I have been waiting for the fall of ABC, NBC and CBS for years and years now. I don’t watch regular tv as the best shows have been on cable since the onset of the cable based drama came into effect. Put this show on HBO or somewhere where it will be appreciated. Arrested Development and Firefly. They should at least turn it into a movie or something. I hate nbc. ********
