I think The Bridge is the best summer TV show. I am surprised every week and the acting is terrific. Sonja is a great and very different type of character.

My first thought was not another autistic detective, but everything about this show is fresh and different. I love a show that highlights Juarez and El Paso. It is great seeing the complexity of living on the border played out by detectives from two police departments trying to solve a crime. This is supposedly based on a show in another country, but how could it be anywhere else but the US/Mexico border? Topped off with excellent acting and no cookie-cutter castings. This show has some of the most unusual characters you will ever encounter. If you like films about people not action, you will like this program. It may have violence, but it is about the people who live and work in Juarez or El Paso.

It is based on the Swedish TV series called “bron” or “broen” and that bridge is one that’s at the border of Sweden & Denmark

I love the show “The Bridge”. I hope it stays. It may be too dark for some, or too sophystocated for others, I hope not because it’s a great drama as well as giving a great message about how little most law enforcement thinks about the borders.

Gritty drama, excessive violence, and gratuitous sex… sad that some people still consider this “entertainment” . Even sadder is the fact that the violence depicted is tame in comparison to what is really happening along the Mexican/US border.
I think the violence portrayed could really warp the minds of some people which concerns me, especially for young people. Don’t be surprised if another school shooting occurs or worse.

Great Show. Quirky and refreshing change from the run of the mill format dramas. Each show leaves me anticipating the next.
