What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The F Word is a reimagining of Gordon Ramsay’s 2005-2010 British TV series. While the original version of The F Word was a food “magazine” style series, the new US program is a live team cooking competition. Teams of foodies, made up of families and friends compete in high-stakes cook-offs. In the season finale, the two top teams will face off, in hopes of claiming the cash prize. As with the UK original, the diners will be celebrities and VIPs. Ramsay will also perform cooking demonstrations, and chat with culinary experts, and fans as well.
Season One Ratings
Although it premiered with weak numbers, it is still too early to use ratings to predict if The F Word TV show will be cancelled or renewed for a second season on FOX. Ramsay has been a consistent draw for the network though, and the first season has the benefit of being paired with his MasterChef TV show, so it shouldn’t escape his devotees’ notice. At first blush, I expect FOX will renew this competitive cooking TV series for season two. That said, I’ll keep an eye on the ratings and update this page from time to time.
