It wasn’t a positive start for The Finder at all. It lost nearly 30% from its Bones lead-in in the demo and could only beat The CW’s Secret Circle in the timeslot. When compared with other FOX scripted shows, The Finder’s season average only beats Fringe on Friday nights. Even the already cancelled Allen Gregory performed better.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the Finder TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a second season?

Yet another smart, quirky, fun tv show with excellent acting, writing and spirit–canceled. Maybe a smarter network will pick this show up.

We need some more Walter & friends. Witty and clean, not many of those out there. Please renew in a different time slot.

I from Belgium, I just find out that the finder ended ….another mistake from the rating company. How can they drop this series…too much junk on now and besides, great cast! Great selection of music, I really hope someone else with taste picks it up for another season. I can pay to follow it…

When will NAmerican producers realize that they are supplying a global market, and while their national viewers may prefer badly written sarcastic cheap laugh series, we in the greater world tend to feel rather cheated when you produce excellent series with strong characters exhibiting perfect chemistry, and then cancel them after a single season. Basically the market caters to the lowest common denominator, and the LCD is pretty damn low.

It took me forever to find The Finder–it was on–it wasn’t on…predictability would have helped their market share significantly. It’s a great show–given the opportunity it could have been like Monk. It was really has been gaining momentum and now it’s cancelled. Ridiculous!

Why not get rid of one of the REALITY shows and keep the Finder. At least it is entertaining, for anyone over 40. Most of us would rather be entertained…..reality is what we live.
