It was a very disappointing debut for this high-profile legal drama. In addition to the weak cumulative ratings, the early numbers indicated that many viewers tuned out as the two hour premiere progressed. Fewer people are expected to watch the next episode and The Firm already can’t afford to lose any viewers.

Compared to The Cape’s premiere one year earlier, the peacock network is down by 46% in the demo and 25% in total viewers. The Cape fell to a low 1.2 in the demo before being cancelled by NBC.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like The Firm TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

I love The Firm and think the actors are all great and the story is compelling and suspenseful. Wish that NBC would reconsider or another network would take it!!

Do NOT cancel The Firm…if NBC cancels, is there another network with the good sense to take it on?

I love this show! I haven’t been hooked on a show this bad since Alias or Lost. It’s so hard to find anything decent to watch on tv these days and this was the best I’ve found in years. So disappointed to find out it’s cancelled. I’m getting very tired of great shows being cancelled before given half a chance. Hoping another network will pick it up!

My wife and I look forward so much to sitting together and watching the Firm each week. We are hooked…most times we cannot watch it “live” so DVR becomes the special tool. It would be a tough dissappointment if our show was cancelled. We know several other couples who also enjoy this exciting and captivating show as well. Please listen to your audience and give this show more time to build its fan base……!!!!!!!

Love this show, I hope some other network takes them on, only intelligent people watch this show, and I guess all the non-educated don’t watch it, so this is why it probably won’t be renewed. Just goes to show what minds are out there watching TV

Love The Firm – why is it that the really good shows keep getting cancelled and the lousy reality shows just seem to be taking over????
