I watch this show with some reservations. At first I found all the killing a bit over the top to be interesting. There was little plot and lots of dead bodies. But I’ve kept watching to see what could be done with Kevin Bacon’s character. The last few shows have gotten better with the development of Kevin’s part and the chief bad guy, who’s name I forget. That should tell you something. BTW, he is an excellent actor. I just don’t see how you can continue a show that focuses on a group of psychopaths who keep on killing for the fun of it. Escape, capture etc. gets boring after awhile. Focus more on the light vs. dark giving the dark side more purpose/idiology beside just writing a book. And give Kevin Bacon’s character lots more development, please.

Recommended by friends, I gave The Following a try and liked it until about halfway through the season. The writing is horrifically unrealistic and the characters are so over the top that it comes across as cheesy, especially in the last 3 or 4 episodes. I continued to watch just to see if it would get better but found myself more interested in other activities while watching. It’s far too contrived and cheesy for me. Every episode is so action packed that its boring. There’s no suspense. I just keep hoping Kevin Bacon’s character will die. He has survived way too many stabbings, shootings, beatings. Electric shock to his damaged heart …kill the dude off already! I thought for sure it would be cancelled & will not watch season 2.

Loved it from the start. Best show on regular tv. The acting is great and the show is suspenseful. If you love Dexter this is a great way to fill the time until that series begins again. I was happy to see David Zayas make an appearance. I can’t wait for Mondays. Please renew!
