I can not believe that they cancelled such a great show. It was such a great and sexy cast with a crime show that can be watched with family. I think its a big mistake and Chirstian Slater was doing great along with Michelle Borth (my new fav actress). They were great and it should have gone on for a 2nd season.

Maybe it was cancelled because no one heard of it. Myself I just came across it online and I
really enjoyed it. There are very little if any Crime Shows these days that do with Crime as much as relationships and family involved troubles. So when I found this I thought I struck gold, should have none it wouldn’t last or even given a chance for there characters to grow.
I will miss it.

I really liked this show, I couldn’t watch the whole season because we had to get rid of our cable half way through the season (the cable company here sucks). I just thought I’d check if it was still on and it sucks that it was canceled, it was really good. It really made you feel for the the people who died, I never really got that feeling when I would watch something like CSI, CSI is really about the science but this was more about people.

Here in Portugal “The Forgothen” is kind of a new TV show, i couldnt watch all the episodes on Tv so i decided to wacht it on my Laptop …The season one was absolutely spectacular !
It was incredible how fast i could watch the all season !
I loved season 1 and i dont get it why this show was cancelled for season 2
ABC Please think better, i dont ask just for portugal fans of this show but also for all the fans from all the country ‘s in the world !

It seems like people only seem to be wanting to see sleezy people getting drunk fighting and women showing off their ass while guys go around grabbing them and pulling them off to bed. Good shows are cancelled for reality t.v with people that have no talent other than being stupid.jersey shore kardashians networks automatically think that every one wants to see that trash.. and abc it seems like the people tha work there are idiots as well..

Hi, I’m from Romania (E urope), and I’ve watched this show on pc, I meen once I’ve started I couldn’t wait to watch the next episode. I don’t really see why it didn’t clicked with
the American public, I guess it’s another mentality. Anyway, I loved the show, it bothered me to hear it got cancelled, I hope mayby ABC will change it’s mind, I guess there are a lot of shows that got cancelled that should have not.

Why did the Forgotten get cancelled? It was so much better than those other shows. A lot of them make me sick to my stomach because they’re so graphic! The Forgotten was the only TV show my mom and I could watch together. We couldn’t find it later in the season due to them moving the days it was aired on and the time! That was its biggest blow.

The Forgotten was a good series and the acting was great. I also enjoyed Cold Case. When there is a conflict with shows that I watch I’m grateful I can record and watch later. It seems when a good show hits the stations just don’t give them a chance. I’ve been watching for a return alas not to be.

I really enjoyed In Justice. Please remeber the series Cheers did not start of very well but drew audiences after a few seasons. Please give these shows a chance.

” The Forgotten ” was a great show, great caractures, and portrayed something positive in life. ABC is sliding and dancing it’s way into who cares in my family. You don’t give shows a good chance when you leave it in one time slot, and the slot it was in it didn’t stand a chance. All I can say is someone please kill the reality bug. People are becoming so dilusional that they think reality TV portrays Reality. So if that is true leave something with a little more positive message for them to take as real and maybe this Country will wake up and care!!!!

ABC has a history of canceling good drama series after less than a season. . . and usually after they’ve moved them around on the schedule so no one can find them. I think it’s just a ploy for ABC to “say” they do drama series, but really don’t want to continue with them. Very frustrating. . . I liked this show, as well as the one a few years ago called something like “In Justice” I can’t believe how quickly the shows go by the wayside. . . they don’t even give them a chance.

Im from Denmark and its sad to see, that there are a second season which has been cancelled… They are showing the first season again for the second time in television here in Denmark.
I just hope that they will changed their mind, and let the second season run also..
Its a great series and me and my family have been waiting for another season…

it seems all the great shows are being cancelled. ghost whisperer and this were near the top of my list for fave shows. i don’t know what is going on with tv stations but they need to get their heads out of their asses, and listen to the people that did like it.

I saw The Forgotten in Germany, and I am also very sad that I will not be continued. Very interesting and likable persons, excellent stories. I never liked Christian Slater before, but I nearly fell in love with him in this show.

In Germany, all we get to see is “…C.I.S.” and similar as well, I am sick of that.

The only series that I still like to see here are Boston Legal, Human Target, Leverage and Good Wife.

Yet another intellectually stimulating, creative, and multidimensional series bites the dust, while frivolous reality series run rampant whose only popular appeal is their ability to reassure viewers of their relative normalcy through downward social comparison.

This was actually a good show but obviously overshadowed by NCIS and CSI series. It needed another season and a full run, not stopped in the middle of a season to start up again after a long time off the air (2-3 weeks). I hope it’s not Christian Slater that’s being targeted; his third TV series in several years, if my memory serves me well. We liked it better than Cold Case and the CSI series; getting tired of NCIS.

The forgotten was and is great. I cannot believe it is cancelled. We were just watching one we had recorded and went to set our TV to record future episodes incase we could not watch them when it aired and could not find it. Came here and realized it is cancelled. Why dont they take off some of those reality shows and put this back on. At least it has suspense and substance vs air.

While I am a fan of Dancing With The Stars, a kind of reality show, I agree with many other commenters here who say there are far too many reality shows out there. The Forgotten was a great show. I loved the cast and the episodes from week to week. I’m sorry to see it fall by the wayside. Please ABC (and all the other networks) enough with the reality shows! What do I think happened?

All the networks seem to be leaning toward ignoramus reality shows that cost far less to produce, first of all.

Second, there seems to be a lack of savvy, intelligent network execs, producers, and apparently, also a dearth of decent writers. The fatal mistake that most new tv shows seem to be making is taking the human interest element OUT of the story! There’s less character and plot development and more action and special effects.

For people who like pictures without words, this is fine. For stupid people, this is fine. For people whose brains are on alcohol and drugs, this is fine.

But for people who like people, who like a good story, and who like words with their pictures, this is NOT fine.

When you take away the characters personal lives, relationships, etc., all you’re left with is dry material. “Dry” material that has no substance to make it interesting is just another cop-medical-lawyer-what-have-you show. Boring and uninteresting.

Do these network producers really think that people watch tv shows solely for their action scenes? When will they learn that it’s not the action, but the characters themselves that make tv shows interesting?

And that’s what happened to The Forgotten. The execs/producers/writers took out everything that was interesting, that made the show human, and tried to make it just another cop show, which ultimately couldn’t hold viewers’ attention.

It started out to be a very good show. It lacked character development, which was what held viewers’ interest.

I am so disappointed that The Forgotten was cancelled. I loved that show. I think the only reason it did not make it is because it was on channel If it had been on CBS or NBC it would have made it. People stop at channel 12. It also was not advertised enough. I am not happy about this show being dropped. From day one it was a hit with me.

I too loved this show and am so disappointed that it is canceled. I was so looking forward to a new season. I will say I missed alot of the end episodes because you did switch the time and it took me a while to figure out that you switched it to a new time vs. just not airing it for a couple weeks. Which the network does do that with some of the other tv series shows. U leave long gaps in between new episodes. So disappointing!

The networks are so full of “reality TV” and stupid-funny comedies. The tired story lines of the sit coms–wife is a witch, husband does something stupid, wife emasculates him, they kiss and make up. Now people are watching cakes be decorated? And let’s not forget about Bridezillas. Now there is some quality TV–NOT!!! Keep cancelling the good stuff–well written, holds the viewers interest, good characters–you idiots. My DVD player is going to be getting a good workout this fall. There’s barely anything on TV worth wasting the electricity for these days.

Other than the predictable romance angle which to me is a tired storyline. Thought it was a show that was different than the other police shows. It’s based on something real people do. I wish they would bring it back. The cast of characters were likable as well, something that all shows do not have.

Perhaps if we spent more time in “reality” than “reality tv” the execs could see that
switching days and time is the fastest way to kill a following! Be reasonable, why would
the watching public possibly care about good quality tv, excellent story lines, top-notch
portrayals and realism …….when they can watch people fly all over the world looking for an ugly challis or see a bunch of men and woman scheming and plotting to get each other kicked out one by one to win big bucks!
The time has come to have the opportunity to watch something other than the grey-cell challenged nubile 20-30 somethings, and give the thinking, empathetic public something worth sinking their teeth into! Or not………………

It is decisions like this that confirm why ABC is consistently beaten by the other networks in the ratings. Instead of keeping good, quality shows like “The Forgotten” and promoting it, they don’t give it a chance to succeed. Instead they keep promoting idiotic shows like “The Bachelor”, “The Bachelorette”, “Wife Swap”, ‘Wipeout”, etc.

Not that this show was in the same category by any means, but networks seem to forget that past shows like “Cheers” and “Seinfeld” were not initially well-received, but given a chance they became landmark television shows. By their actions in recent years, ABC just doesn’t get it.

ABC, CBS and NBC seem to be doing whatever they can to alienate viewers with brains. USA offers several quirky shows (Psych, Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, White Collar) that are just different enough to be engaging. When the “major” networks get the message that not everyone wants to watch Reality TV, perhaps what is offered will become a bit more thought provoking. Totally agree that all the jerking around of schedules makes it really difficult to follow what’s out there. USA does this, too, and it drives me crazy. Really sorry to lose The Forgotten. It got better as episodes progressed…ABC really never gave it a chance.

I really did like the show. Jerry Bruckheimer makes really great shows. I think ABC was pretty stupid with moving the show around to fit around other stuff, if it had stayed at it’s original time, it would have been easier to follow. The shows tonight were very good. There is so much fluff television, it is a treat to watch something of substance. Nobody that I know who watched it didn’t want to join ‘The Forgotten’ Network. To me, that kind of impact on a person is what we need more of these days.

Never really gave this one a chance to gain an audience. I enjoyed the show and either watched or DVR’d all episodes. It was one of the series I recorded if chasing young ones to bed. Sad to see this one go, it just sort of went away. The characters were likeable and admirable. It was nice to see people focused on helping others in such a non selfish way. We could do with more of this. Nice twist/ plot line and refreshing relief from the the gory medical stuff or the reality tv/game shows. The show will be sorely missed…

I can’t believe your cancelling the forgotten before giving them a chance. Start a new series in the middle of the week at 10 and you wonder why it didn’t get a following. Move the show to an earlier timeslot, and forget the reality shows.
