Why when they start a good show do they decide to cancel it. This was a very good show and I enjoyed it very much and was real disappointed when it didn’t return. Instead of all these reality shows. they should stick to shows like The Forgotten, something with interest, not these shows showing people acting foolish such as The Basketball Wives, New Jersey Shores, not these stupids shows. Please bring back The Forgotten.

This was an amazing show & should not have been cancelled! Pam-I agree with you – they leave most of the crap on & get rid of the good stuff. They are coming out with too many shows not giving us enough time to get into the show & really enjoy it! Everyone has an idea for a show but that doesn’t mean each one has to be recorded and shown. It’s just way too much!

The reason this GREAT show got cancelled is that ABC did NOT promote it enough. My husband use to record the shows for me, since it was on while I was at work; I always looked forward to watching it. That’s how it goes; networks leave the crap on and get rid of the good.

Please don’t cancel it. Mayb it wasn’t promoted properly and no one knew it was on my me, my aunt and friends loved it. The fact that ordinary people cared enough to volunteer and find our loved ones, because the police are overworked, was just very touching. Please bring it back.

I loved this show and could not wait to watch each week! Please don’t cancel the show! I never saw an ad for the show – just stumbled on it one night and I was hooked. I love the way the deceased spoke at the beginning of the show and how the team worked diligently to give each person a name and get them home. Having every-day-folks solve the case was appealing. True heroes!!!

I have been looking for The Forgotten show in the TV Guide and went on line to find
out what happened. I am very disappointed. I loved the show and looked forward
to see what happened to each person. All the actors were wonderful.

The Forgotten was well written and kept my attention. Christian Slater is a great actor and the supporting cast were equally so. It was a clean and wholesome program. There are people who still enjoy good entertainment. Bring the show back!

It sad that this show was cancell. it was an interesting show that really theirs not one i can think that it realtes to this subject. Like NCIS is dedicated to the marines, Law in order special victim is main topic is rape. Soo the unforgotten had a god topic that you could watch with 12 yrs old.

I’m not a fan of television as a whole (ya, I know, boo me) but I have to say I took a strong liking to “Forgotten” … definitely a fan of Christian Slater. Was curious to know why it wasn’t airing anymore. Now I know. It’s a disappointment to say the least.

I think there are many shows out there with similiar content. That said, competing with reality t.v. and all of the CSI’s can be stressful on the producers and actors. What struck me about “Forgotten” was it seemed more realistic than any other show. More heartfelt. Having civilians work together to find missing people after the police stop investigating (for whatever reason) comes close to home.

I don’t watch much tv, however this was my favorite show. I finally had one I enjoyed and they took it away. It should definitely come back. I guess it wasn’t sinful enough to stay on the air.

loved the show and am very disappointed that it may be done….not sure it was given enough publicity….the people I’ve told about the show had not heard of it….Cold Case is a show I would compare this one to but find this concept much more interesting….its difficult to say what makes a program successful….there were a lot of twist and turns to this program that kept my interest…..

I am not of big fan of the shows on ABC, but The Forgotten series I watched faithfully. If I was unable to watch it the nights it aired I recorded it. It was one of the few shows on tv that I feel was good tv. I think the time slots were a mistake on the networks part. A big mistake to drop the show.

I just can’t believe my favorite show has been cancelled. It was one of the best shows to air on TV. It is so hard to find anything on TV worth watching. The Forgotten is gone, but you can find a channel to watch that wrestling crap almost every night. This is definately NOT fair. I’d like to give the ABC executive that made the decission to cancel The Forgotten a piece of my mind. Apparently he doesn’t know a good thing when he sees it. You may be gone but you are NOT forgotten!!!!!

I really enjoyed the show. I have been looking forward to a new season. I agree they didnt promote it well and were now consistant with the airing of the show. It has everything you would want in a show. No to mention the fact that it is a real organization. I really want to see this show come back!

I liked the series. I especially liked that it was taking place in Chicago. There don’t seem to be very many programs that take place in Chicago. Everything is either New York, Los Angles, Vegas or Miami. I think they should give it another run, promote it more and promote Chicago more!

What went wrong is that abc kept changing time slots plus not enough promo on the forgotten. Y es, you should show the last two shows. You need show more or tell more of what happen to his daughter and the other member of forgotten why and how they got to be looking for doe’s. Yes I am a fan of The Forgotten and the Stars. Please bring it back.

i think that this show is completly origanl and there are no others like it. i looked forward to this show every week . Sometimes a new show has so much competition that it is slow to catch on, but if it is kept going it h as a solid loyal group of viewers such as my self and 6 million other people! They should keep it, if over 6 million people is not good enuf for the bimbos working at the sations they need to open there eyes to how many more may enjoy it once it getts so buzz. Most shows dont get a lot of attenion untill the season fanally. So they never really gave it a chance and i hope they relize this before they make a mastake that will make many people upset and disapointed.

My family is disappointed that The Forgotten is cancelled. My son, who is 12, looked forward to watching it every week with me. It was a good drama, good stories, and enough going on in every episode to keep our interest.

I really liked the show, i think these network exec’s get nervous too quick. It takes time for people to warm up to shows. I didn’t start watching true blood till mid-season 2, and look how great that show turned out to be. Moonlight was canceled after the first season, look how popular Stphanie Meyer made Vampires. They should give it time. It really is a great show, Christian Slater was awesome so was the rest of the cast.

I think part of the problem was that it was up against “The Good Wife” on CBS, which although a good show, the type and premise is totally different. “The Forgotten was never given a chance, and when they started showing previews of “Happy Town,” I never saw anything intriguing even before it was shown.

I loved the Forgotten, I don’t get what is going on. All the good shows get canceled. Now ABC has “Happy Town”. Which isn’t all that good. Its a murder mystery. It will end eventually when they find the murder. I loved, ugly betty, life on mars, pushing daisies, my worse enemy, eastwick. I don’t like flash forward. And many others. Ugh its frustrating trying to find a show to stay with!

Seriously, a very good and compelling show. ABC has the most ridiculous hair-trigger in TV history. Grays Sexnatomy (yeah, all doctors do at work is screw in the on-call lounge) and the loser following it keep getting renewed but their good series (Eli Stone, Forgotten, Life on Mars, etc.) are cancelled. Screw reality TV, Americans are just plain dumb to watch that scripted, unscripted trash.

I’ve posted before but I wanted to ask, should ABC just change their name to the “already been cancelled” network?

I went through my DVR last night. Out of all the networks I record I only have 1 show left on ABC, which is Castle. I LOVE Castle, and hope that ABC doesn’t decide to cancel it as well.

The Forgotten is such a though provoking show that shows real emotion. Someone posted earlier that reality shows are cheaper to produce because they don’t have writers. There is no way there isn’t some kind of scripting, because I have a hard time believing “common” people know exactly what to say and do to create so much “fake drama”.

Please don’t cancel the Forgotten. Listen to the posters of this forum. ABc, please get a clue.

Please don’t take this show away! I love how you have everyday people taking over cases that the police gave up on. These people volunteer their own time to help give a name to jane and john does. These people could be anyone’s loved ones who’s missing cases were never solved.

I feel this show eye opening and incredibly touching, and would hate to see it be taken off.

Look, this is the 2nd series in which Slater has been fantastic. The issue is that TV shows for the most part are complicated when they have to filmed at different locations and constantly require new actors for each episode. I don’t know why any actor worth their salt would agree to do a new “Drama” on TV. Unless there is an established deep pocket and viewer draw (CSI, Lost, 24 and the like), you will not get a show that last no matter how good it is because the companies cannot afford to pay for good actors, good writing and good locations. Think about it; the only shows that stay on are Reality T.V. (no writers, no changing of locations), and situation comedies (same basic set, same basic characters reducing the need for good writing).
With the variety of shows on the hundreds of TV channels today, these types of shows are more like movies in that they appeal to only 10 to 20% when the other 80% have dozens of other programs to choose from.

The Forgotten was a different type of show and very good. This show brought you into the life of a deceased victim. I looked forward to watching this show every week and wondered WHY it was not on. I am very disappointed and hope that maybe another network will run with this show or try ABC try another time slot. It would be a shame to cancel this show just when the story was getting so interesting. He just found his daughter and I was so interested to see how it worked out.

This show just needs a chance to make it…please!!!

I hate watching shows on ABC everytime I get hooked on one they cancell it after a season or two. A couple of examples are Women Murder Club and now The Forgotten. They poorly adverties new shows and put them in poor time slot and wonder why the have bad ratings. The only show I watch on Abc is Castle which is not my most favorite show but it’s good. I hope Castle doesn’t get cancelled. I hate when t.v stations do not give new series a chance.

the forgotten was different and that’s what made it so good. Christian Slater did a wonderful job along with the others on a show that brought you into the life of a deceased victim. Seriously? People would actually prefer to watch, “Dancing with the Stars”, than a gripping series about lost brothers and sisters, mother and fathers; children? For anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of seeing this fantastic series, (which brings Christian Slater to prime time tv, huba, huba), this is the 1st series, that I am aware of, to tell the story from the perspective of the victim/deceased. It’s truly a work of art! I would be very sad to see this gem go.

Considering the low rating garbage that ABC puts out like retread V-series a update of the failure years ago on NBC., it is a shame that the Forgotten was gutted so quickly by ABC. Now you know why ABC is third or fourth of the big Four networks. I liked the Forgotten series it was a decent combination show with missing persons and cold case mixed in with a decent police show ensemble cast.Boy it was a shame that ABC gave it little chance with constant premptions by other failed shows ( V & flash Forward) in its place. It is too bad that ABC is only interested in yuppie 18-48 age group demographics. It had Christian Slater and a talented bunch of character actors in the support roles. Sadly this short shrift of a decent show is a good example why I seldom if ever have watched a ABC network show in many years- decades.

Stop cancelling good shows! Not eveyone like the fake reality shows. I watch tv to be entertained, and this show is very entertaining. It makes you think. Maybe that’s the problem? ABC pulls a good show because it isn’t mind numbing and it makes you try and figure things out.

The Forgotten was one of our favorite shows. The Forgotten was the only good evening show on ABC other than Castle which is another of our favorite shows. The content was good and for the most part morally acceptable compaired to other shows airing on prime time TV. The writting and acting were well done. Very sorry to see it go.

The Forgotten should offer their show to a cable network. USA, TNT, FX and TBS have the networks beat with original programming. Save this show . It is an original and has an outstanding cast.
