the gates past TV show

TV show description:
This supernatural crime drama revolves around a chief of police who moves from Chicago to an upscale private community. He realizes that the neighbors aren’t quite who they appear to be on the outside.

Nick Monohan (Frank Grillo) is the new Chief of Police for The Gates, and he’ll do anything he can to protect his wife Sarah and their kids, Charlie and Dana. He’s used to working the tougher big city police cases and is ill-prepared for what he finds in his new community. For one thing, he knows there’s something going on with the Radcliffs, but isn’t sure just what. His wife Sarah (Marisol Nichols) is clearly the one who keeps her family together emotionally. As a product of Chicago’s south side, she struggles to fit in but soon she begins to bond with a few of her neighbors and also figures out some of their secrets.

Claire Radcliff (Rhona Mitra) seems like she has a perfect life with a perfect house and perfect family. But, she has a secret — a big hunger for something that she shouldn’t. She and her husband, Dylan (Luke Mably), have a daughter named Emily (Georgia Cole) and are well-aware they could lose everything if Claire can’t keep her addiction in check. Dylan is the CEO of a biotech research firm, and because of his wife’s addiction, he places a lot of value on privacy.

TV show supportA high school student, Charlie Monohan (Travis Caldwell) wasn’t happy to leave the public schools of Chicago in favor of The Gates Academy, but it gets easier the closer he gets with schoolmate Andie Bates (Skyler Samuels). Andi is best friends with Mia Mueller (Devyn A. Tyler) and friends with nearly everyone else. She’s a good student and the archaetypical girl-next-door. She and her father moved from Seattle to The Gates after her mom died in a tragic accident. Her boyfriend, Brett Crezski (Colton Haynes), is on the football team, and in some ways he’s the male version of Andie. He has a dangerous side to him though that he’s struggling to keep hidden.

Mia’s mom, Peg Mueller (Victoria Platt), is the town physician and herbologist. More than that though she’s known for having discretion, and that matters in this small town more than anything else. There’s one person in town that doesn’t consider her a friend however — Devon Buckley (Chandra West). She’s the owner of Devon’s Day Spa and the ex-wife of the owner of The Gates, Frank Buckley (Brett Cullen). She provides miracle cures at the Day Spa but patrons can sometimes end up paying more than expected.

Nick has two deputies in the police department, Marcus Jordan (Justin Miles) and Leigh Turner (Janina Gavankar). Marcus has a very eager and cheerful attitude that helps him get along with almost everyone in The Gates. He’s not the wittiest or sharpest person, but he gets by with a great work ethic. He’s stoked to learn the ropes from a big city cop like Nick. Leigh is somewhat his antithesis; witty, sharp, and very confident. She can be intimidating. When she allows herself to show some vulnerability, it appears she might just be hiding something.

I just finished watching THE GATE. It was the best movie since TRUE BLOOD. I watched it none stop-back to back until the last episode. I haven’t felt this bad since I was 15 and they ended AS THE WORLD TURNS. I stopped watching soaps after that. The next time I see a movie with seasons I’m going to check how many seasons before I start watching. I’m so upset I want to throw water in your face!!!! Who did you poll..the Alaskans? You sure didn’t poll the good ol’ U.S. of A.! I want to know what happened to Charlie and Devon and that poor little girl Charlie loved!!

I absolutely LOVE watching The Gates. Just finished the whole of season 1, I’m so disappointed that it’s been cancelled. ABC, you guys had a good thing going, but you threw it away. Such a shame…

And, I agree with what DON said. The CW has Vampire Diaries (which I’m also a huge fan of) so maybe ABC should bring The Gates back because it’s definitely as good as Vampire Diaries, if not better. It has a talented cast and a promising storyline that I can’t get enough of!

Please consider a TV movie to end the Gates. You left everyone with the cliffhanger and no closer.

Please don’t cancel the show,… Seriously The Way you guys do Ratings sucks & is incorrect & does not give a accurate description of the ratings the show gets or its popularity,…
Jump online and go on any torrent site and you’ll see 1,000’s of people downloading or streaming the shows,… & it’s like that on every site,… 1,000’s of sites with 1,000’s of people downloading or streaming,… So you really need to update the way you use your technology to get more accurate ratings on shows,…
You guys keep canceling extremely popular shows without a clue on their popularity,… You put shows on long breaks and then wonder why ppl loose interest or stop watching,…
This is the reason why most ppl grab whole seasons and watch them right through,… or like myself download each ep live from the usa each week,…
I hope this helps you understand and perhaps look to better more precise methods in determining the accuracy of rating and stop canceling popular shows in future,…
    Kindest Regards,…

  7. Networks r becoming cancel crazy says

Perhaps Networks make more money off the SPONSORS by airing so many new shows. About ever 4 months they are airing lots of new shows, then, being canceled shortly after. Then they repeating this process. Perhaps to keep us confused. A diversion, hoping we want notice most of the show want be coming back. Then giving us some bs about Neilsen rating. I found they are not discriminate on which type of show I’m watching, rather it to be Sitcoms, Drama or Fiction, The show I’m watching, is in crisis or its, r already gone. I notice the Networks have more Reality shows, Adult Cartoons, Game&Talk Shows & shoveling these type of shows down our throats. Keeping lower budgets shows, cancel series show. Not all the time but “Sometimes” they bring a series show back, if , enough people protest the cancellation. Some or not coming back no matter how many of viewers complain. I wonder if its because the longer a series runs, the more valuable actor becomes. You know, 2 million is lot of money to pay an actor verses, low budget with the redneck writers and rehearsed drama, those so called, “Reality shows”. I only watch series show I’m so devastated to see so many new series shows being tossed.
Hopefully they will bring Series type shows to the internet. If Entertainment like Series shows go to internet, it would replace TV, like TV did to Radio.

I loved The Gates. It had tons of followers ,at least in my area. It had great actors/charecters to build on. Im very disapointed.I will miss it as I do WOLF lake and The Kindred.

  9. Celtic Lady says

I enjoyed the show… maybe change the story lines so they where all not so dark? Some positive and white light would be nice amongst all the darker things we all deal with each and every day.

  10. Fall says

Loved the show. Maybe if it wasn’t Sunday there would be more viewings. Monday seems like the best day. Thinkkk!!! BRING
