TV show description:
After being wrongly accused of sleeping with his former captain’s wife, a Chicago homicide detective moves to South Florida and takes a job with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
While detective Jim Longworth (Matt Passmore) can be hard to get along with, he’s also known for being attractive and brilliant. After the affair accusations, he uses his payout to move to a resort town; Palm Glade, Florida. He joins the state police, thinking it’ll be much easier than what he came from, but finds that’s not always the case. He likes to work alone and doesn’t like to share theories with other detectives. Since he’s very charming and very good at solving murders, people often let him do what he wants.
Longworth chases after Callie Cargill (Kiele Sanchez), a nurse who is attending medical school. She’s not as charmed by him as the others and is very devoted to her 12-year-old son, Jeff (Uriah Shelton). It’s been just the two of them since her husband was sent to prison. She has a general dislike for cops, but might be willing to cut Longworth some slack. Jeff constantly tests his boundaries with his mother and could definitely benefit from a father figure. He takes to Longworth right away.
A medical examiner for the crime lab, Carlos Sanchez (Carlos Gomez) is a colleague of Longworth’s. He oversees toxicology screens and autopsies, and is also his golfing buddy. He’s often put into compromising positions, trying to prove Longworth’s theories, and they’re sometimes put at odds over them. Carlos wants to be the best husband and dad he can be. Daniel Green (Jordan Wall) is a grad student who works for Carlos as an intern. His knowledge of science makes him very valuable to Longworth as well.
Colleen Manus (Michelle Hurd) is the tough Regional Director for the state police. She had been getting bad press because arrests were down in her area. Hoping to change that, she hired Longworth. She gives him a lot of freedom but will get on his case and put him in his place if need be.

I’m glad this one is staying, I like all the characters, and the plots are really good, I watch it because it entertains me, isn’t that what tv is suppose to be about. I don’t look at each and every thing in the show, if it makes me happy to watch then I like it.
Hope season 3 is better. Jim was a different character. I’m still waiting for information from someone with some answers as to what happened to season 2. I like all of the players and want to see it succeed. Jim is a complex man and that is part of his charm. I find Carlos a very attractive man. Beautiful dark eyes and a great smile. GOOD LUCK GLADERS. See you June of 2012.

Too bad the writers couldn’t see through the fact that when they brought the prisioner into the hospital the director of regional police should have also stayed with the other police guy instead of leaving him alone with the prisoner. She is a director who is very stupid & didn’t have to answer to anybody, which would have helped the show. The writers think we are all stupid like the regional police director. The writers missed that one which would have made for a better show.
I ejoy the heck out of this show. Miss Sanchez is a cutie! But even though I understand that Kia is a major sponsor of the show, the constant “shameless plugging” of the product in the character’s dialogue is irritating at best. Please keep the commercials in the commercals, not in the script.
I did not like the way that the glades ended last season and after two shows this season I do not care if I see the show or not. And to have Kelly come work with him. END THE SHOW
Whomever My wife and I like your new show Glades. All we see holdin this show back is his boss. She is not a good actress because her movements and expressions are not natural. She was on Law/Order and she wasn’t very good there either. Poor acting all around. If you watch Memphis Beat, his boss is a natural and you do not realize she is acting, as for in the Glades, you can tell she is acting. GLADES IS A GOOD SHOW BUT NOT GREAT, needs tweeked.
Matt Passmore… *sighs* I just want to watch him walk; gets me every time!
Glad to hear The Glades has been renewed. Read that it was supposed to begin in March 2011, then read June 2011. Can’t they split the difference and begin the season in mid-April? This cast has great all-around chemistry! The writing is excellent; keeps you interested and waiting for the next episode! PLEASE bring on the show SOON…! We need a good dose of a good series! Please RENEW this show for many seasons; it’s a keeper! <3

I was trying to find out if the Glades is coming back for another season? Not sure how to find out this information. Can someone please let me know if or when the show will be back on? I just love the show. Normally, I hate detective type shows, but this one is different. Its not the typical detective vs bad guy. I love his smart ass attitude among other things. Passmore is excellent and I want to see the relationship with Jim and Callee work out.
