The Golden Girls debuted on NBC on September 14, 1985 and ran for seven seasons. The smart and well-written sitcom was an immediate hit and became one of the peacock network’s most beloved shows.
The series centered around four older women played by Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, Betty White and Estelle Getty. They lived together in a Miami, Florida home and dealt with a wide variety of issues like adult parenting, dating, love, sex and death. Here are a few clips from the series, commercials, and two of the spin-offs.

I cannot believe they pulled daybreak. What is abc doing? do they know? what, do they have to have a trillion people watching in order not to pull a show? As you can tell, I am a little disgusted with them. They should at least let us finish watching the final episodes.
Alot of the shows aired are not suitable for tv and not interesting. Most of the series from the 70′s were good and you looked forward to watching them. There is nothing on tv that i can say that i want to even turn my tv on for. If i have to see one more music video or girls gone wild i’m going to cancel tv. Our kids watch tv constantly and we have taught them nothing but infidelity and divorce. I think it’s only going to get worse if people like you don’t help to change what we see. Everyone i talk to feels the same. Help to teach our kids that life isn’t all divorce, cheating and sex video’s and maybe the next generation can fix the damage already done. TV is the biggest influence for people use it right!
I really love the GOLDEN GIRLS.I was so heart broken to here about Estelle Getty.I would have to say that they all are my favorite.I grew up on watching the GOLDEN GIRLS and now as an adult I still watch the shows and can never get enough. All of you are GOLDEN GIRLS.I LOVE YOU ALL.R.I.P ESTELLE GETTY WE LOVE YOU ANGEL.
CAROLINE MAYBE YOU SHOULD CONTROL WHAT YOUR KIDS WATCH.THE GOLDEN GIRLS SHOW IS FOR WOMAN ANYWAYS SO WHY WOULD YOU LET YOUR KIDS WATCH WHAT YOU THINK ISN?T SUITABLE IT?S YOUR FAULT NOT THE SHOW OR THE CAST
