I definately think the Listener should be shown in the US. I absolutely loved it when it was being aired in the US … that is until NBC pulled it off!! NBC did not wait long enough for ratings to even go up, they only aired a few episodes and that was it! If it’s a popular show in Canada and is getting good ratings, the US should give it another try!

I would love to have the Listener come back to the US, or at least have it on hulu or fancast… I am a college student, and I don’t have cable here, and not a lot of time during the week to watch it, but I would definitely watch it on the weekend when I have time online. I really hope that the U.S. does let the fans see the second season because I think it was a really great and awesome show, and if there is or was more adds promoting it maybe it would have been a bigger hit, but I guess we may never know. Unless they bring back season two, and do reruns of season 1.

This show has GOT to get sanother chance! I have been captivated by Toby and his search for his past, and his mother. The show ends with too many questions and a missing mother. I feel as if the show was just getting steam up for some more really good story telling. I have watched the whole first season in two days and I have looked everywhere for any more. I thought I found out that at least 4 of the second season were made but I can’t find them. Does anyone in Canada know if he ever found her? Of where/if there are more to find?

This is another great show with very good writers and an awesome cast. Again, this show had a little bit of everything that both me and my 2 daughters enjoyed; me 47, 1 daughter is 28 and my other daughter is 12; quite a range to capture attention of all ages, wouldn’t you say ?

Hey guys, i would really like to sit down, on weekday evenings with a cup of hot tee, and watch this. It has become important for me recently, and i really hope for the best. I kinda think it was a pretty bad move to cancel it, because there are thousands of fans all over the world, wondering (maybe not every day) when the show will return. Don’t make this a monumental dissapointment for me, i’m counting on you guys.

I would love to see this show come back to the state’s !!
They did a good job of captivating their viewers, just to pull the rug out from under them? Come on we deserve a little more respect than that! Don’t we? or do you feel you need the space for trash reality TV nowadays?

Either way you took a great TV show off the air regardless the reason it was a wrong one!
Shame on you NBS…. you just made a new name in my book! National BS Station!

Yes! I would love for it to come back!
It was a great show and it was really clever. I think that it was just not a good time to air it becuase people were usually busy during those times.
But honestly, its a great show and I dont think you shoudl leave the 3.5 million or whatever people to not know the ending. Especially when the last episode was a cliffhanger.
I really really hope it comes back…. at LEAST online.

I basically feel like I NEED to see a next season. They’ve done such a good job connecting you to the character and I feel for Toby and want to see him find his mother. I think the problem here in the states was lack of advertisement. If they were to have hyped the show up and created a sence of anxiety to watch the show, more people obviously would have. It’s an amazing show and if the US doesn’t want the second season please make it available for us fans to watch over the Internet. Thanks

If NBC can’t see that it has a good show then give it to TNT like so many shows that dont make it on network TV. TNT knows how to bring in an audience and turn a once thought flop into a wonderful long time series!

My whole family loves this show and we couldn’t wait till the next week to watch another episode. Then it was canceled here in the US and we were so disappointed. I hope they bring it back here to the US as it was very entertaining, the actors were great and it was a great show that brought my family together for a night of entertainment.

With 300 channels on my cable box, there must certainly be a place for this entertaining show on US TV. A creative solution could give it new life here! NBC didn’t give it a chance.

actually, I’m not from the US, so it really doesn’t concern me at all, but I sure wish to see a second season of the Listener, since I very much enjoyed the first one. especially with the ending being so open to suggestions and allutions, I’d really want to see a conclusion…and more episodes of that amazing show.

I loved “The Listener”…the actors are amazing, I love the story line because not many shows have a nonfiction fiction mix and I enjoy it! I hope they air it in the US. I believe it was one of the best new shows I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched all 13 episodes of season 1 and I want more!

Plus toby is totaly hot! but just because the ratings were bad dosnt mean people arnt going to cling on to it, theres a lot of shows that got bad ratings and they didnt cut them off and now their like hit shows but i dont really care for half of them. anyway they should deffinetley bring the listner back!

Ya I love this show and I am from the us. It better come back or the networks are going to lose even more viewers & money. People are just going to rent movie in stead of watching T.V shows that wont come back that have good viewers. And people that love the shows and they need to count those that watch it on the internet. A lot people watch a lot when there not at home.

The Listener is another really good show (and there aren’t so many any more) that is getting canceled! What is wrong with the networks, they won’t give shows an opportunity to get an audience? I’m getting very tired of finding a good show only to have it canceled as soon as it gets going. I think I will stick with movies. The networks couldn’t care less about us.

Yes. The networks care most about the number of people what watch the show. NBC is only interested in how many people are watching in the United States, just as your TV station in Israel is interested in who watches in your country. The more people that watch, the more money they can charge for advertising. I hope that helps.
