Deadline reports that Amazon will make the first two episodes of its original series, The Man in the High Castle, available for free streaming, but only for a limited time. The episodes will be available at Amazon.com/ManInTheHighCastle from 12:00am PST (3:00am ET/2 C) on Friday, October 23rd, until 11:59pm PST (2:59am ET/1:59 C) on Sunday, October 25th, in the U.S. and UK. UK viewers, we’ll let you do the time zone conversion, yourselves.
Get a jump on the weekend freebie. Although we haven’t watched it all the way through, the hour-long pilot is already available for free streaming at Amazon.com, so go ahead and enjoy it, even before Amazon’s free preview weekend. Based on Philip K. Dick’s alternate World War II history novel, The Man in the High Castle stars Alexa Davalos as Juliana Crain; Luke Kleintank as Joe Blake; Rupert Evans as Frank Frink; Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Tagomi; Joel De La Fuente as Inspector Kido, Rufus Sewell as John Smith; and DJ Qualls as Ed McCarthy. Amazon Video also is making the pilot episode available to stream on sites IGN (from 12 AM PST on 10/22 to 11:50 PM PST on 10/25), and CraveOnline (from 9:01 PM PST on 10/21 to 8:59 PM PST on 11/3). The pilot will also be distributed through Amazon partner pages on Facebook including: Amazon, Amazon Video, Kindle, IMDB, and The Man In the High Castle series page.
