I really liked “the Middle Man”, show; it was Lots of Fun!! It’s too bad that the Boneheads at ABC were stupid enough to “cancel” it before it’s first season even officially ended!
Perhaps it will get the opportunity to be Reborn on another Network, (such as was Babylon 5); when it was dropped by one network, & then picked-up by another to finish its run.
I truly do hope that “..Middle Man”, does eventually get “picked-up” by some other network & gets to continue!!

If I had $10million I would donate it all just to see a few more seasons. The show was great and you don’t find a show like The Middleman on tv anymore and I reget that it got cancelled. If I ever come into money that is what I plan on doing with it. You know what we should do? We should start a fund raiser over the internet to bring this show back on the air!

If you loved this show like I did, I urge you to buy the DVD and support the series. The creators are still hoping DVD sales will be strong enough to bring it back in some way, and who knows what could happen? I’d like to see that final episode actually produced, even if that was all we got.

Middleman was an excellent SF/Comedy that was destined to die early because the suits at ABC can’t see past Dancing With The Has Beens.
I had hoped that we would see at least one more season, but like Firefly, this excellent program was too good for television. Why else would they call tv the idiot box?

This show/graphic novel is AMAZING. The only reason it didn’t survive ’til season two was because of the network. I’ve shown all my friends this show, and they ALL agree that it is one of the best things to come out of television in a VERY long time.

Stupid, freakin’ network cronies only interested in the bottom line always ruin everything. HEY, DIPSTICKS!?! GET A CLUE! You put a new program on in the summer when people are doing practically ANYTHING BUT watching TV and then judge the ratings by that!?! Sell it to SyFy or someone with the kahunas to leave something on and, (pssst, hey . . . .) MARKET IT!!!!!! You might end up trying to do it again later! Case in point: CUPID! one of the best series on ever and it barely made a season before the ABC execs pull it. Jeremy Piven was the best, and Paula Marshall the bomb. This happens with everything I like, be it TV or a food product. Just because a niche market may be all that exists doesn’t mean can something – market the hell out of it to that niche! I hate you! I am not surprised. Whenever a show as cool and unusual as Middleman airs on a mainstream network it rarely lasts longer than a season or two. Maby if it were on a more obscure channel, it might have survived.

I used to watch it in Istanbul and 12 episodes aren’t enough- my friends agree me too, and if u check that poll above- you’ll see 94% of people agrees me! The same happened about beautiful people too (years ago).. I watched it and enjoyed it but poof- it got canceled!

I have finally come to the conclusion that whenever a well written, well acted show is on the air, people will watch, but, it will be cancelled no matter what. This was an AWESOME show, and I will truly miss it. I’ll have to get the DVD set, and hope that it will tide me over until the next “single season” show comes along and gets me hooked on the characters and story lines.

AAAAAHHHHH!!!! This cannot be happening! The Middle Man was a great show, it waws creative and fun. I was so hooked, and i soo wanted to see Lacy and the Middleman hook up. I want it back!!! I loved watching the characters be put in the most bazar and weird confrontations with the most absurdly funny villans. It was the only show of its kind were you could just laugh till you cried througout the whole thing. The world needs more shows like The Middleman. I’ve ravenous to get my hands on the dvd. I loved the whole strangeness of the show and I certainly loved the characters. There hasn’t been a show in a while that has come out and I’ve like it so much. A very good point was made above: Find another network! Middleman already has a following; that gives it a leg up on a newly developed show. It is only one year old, so they wouldn’t be buying a show that was getting long in the tooth (like Buffy was when it went to UPN.) The stars won’t be looking for big season two salary bumps, because they will be out of a job because of the cancellation. With the end of BSG and the first two Stargate shows it would seem a perfect fit for SciFi. It’s cool and quirky. Doctor Who is on an abbreviated season this year, so it could really stand out for them as appointment tv for all of the geeks and fanboys who would never give ABCFamily the time of day. Think about it!!!!!!

The MiddleMan was a TV treasure — good writing, good acting, good characters which made for good watching. Surely every show doesn’t have to chase the 14-year-old male watcher. How lame to kill a show when it was so well written, with amazing actors….I was more addicted to this show than Lost! ABC Fam was lame to put it on Monday nights and didn’t do a good job promoting the show. I caught it by accident when it was on at 11pm and already into the 2nd episode one night when I was flipping channels. This is a show that deserved better promotion/more attention and most def a better slot than Monday nights!!!! I wrote Sci Fi and requested they consider picking it up like they did Stargate from Show Time. I bought several episodes off of iTunes. I miss the show. This show was so fresh and different. Shame on ABC Family!!!!

I’m very disappointed, but somehow not surprised.I think if they had put it in the better primetime slot, it would have gotten better ratings, but nooooooo, had to put on the crap series ‘American Teenager’ in it. Bleh, that plot is so overated and cliched that it’s not funny. I rarely watch tv now since I consider most of the shows to be crap, but Middleman got me watching again. This is disappointing news. Our entire family watched the Middleman every week. It was a very exciting, funny and clean show that we were able to watch with our kids without the fear that we would need to change the channel at any minute. There are not many shows out there that you can say that about. We have been looking forward to the second season for months now. This show needs to be picked up by another network and it needs to continue to be a show that can be watched by all ages. So sad!

The stories were fun, but the dialog rocked! Both funny and intelligent…ish and on top of that, the ALL the major characters with their distinct unique personalities, perfectly acted interactions, and entertaining backgrounds were so fascinating. I cried when I read this. Middleman was so smart, it had that rare ability to make both the “grownups” and the kids laugh, because there was always a little something for everyone. Grillo-Marxuach has that rare ability to pull random pop culture references out of a hat, wrap them into dialogue and make them sound fresh and funny. I am going to truly miss the adventures of Wendy and Lacey, her boss, and the other wacky characters that found their way into each episode. Another show with great potential flushed away before given half a chance.

This news is extremely disappointing. I also suspected it wouldn’t be renewed, but all the same, it would have been nice. It’s such a shame that clever, well written, and well acted shows like “The Middleman” are being canceled while programs like “Secret Life of the American Teenager” (which is an overdone, uninteresting concept with truly atrocious acting) are renewed.
I am, however, pleased to hear about the special comic, and to finally have a release date for the DVDs. I will definitely be purchasing all of the above.

That was the only show on ABC Family I’ve ever had the urge to watch. They didn’t advertise it enough. I accidentally came across it over the summer and missed the first 3 episodes. After the first one I saw, I was hooked. Of course they cancel it….. because it was too witty for their usual dumb teen drama viewers. Maybe a smart and interesting network will pick it up. No one with a brain watches ABC Family, so I can see why ratings were low. It never had a chance on that channel.

All of which are about supernatural do-gooders in a contemporary setting. Oh, and all of them are ABC’s! Seriously, does ABC have a thing against supernatural do-gooders?

Natalie is a great actress!! I know her personally and know what she is capable of. Becoming Wendy Watson was just the tip of the iceburg and though the show may be over, I hope this will be the jumpstart of a great career for her and her co-stars!

I loved this show!!

Its realy sad it has been cancelled i hope the DVD sales will bring it back, if not i hope another networkpicks it up like Si-fi or some other network it was such an amazing show!!
