The Mob Doctor: New Casting; Will You See the Episodes Before the Show is Cancelled?

Though it looks like The Mob Doctor is still on track to be cancelled because of low ratings, production seems to be continuing anyway.

According to TV Guide, Michael Madsen has booked a two-episode arc that will begin with episode nine. Thus far, FOX hasn’t ordered any episodes beyond the initial baker’s dozen.

His role is described this way:

Madsen will play Russell King, a veteran criminal whose crimes require a certain flair and professional expertise. On the night of a big job, King has a flare-up of back pain and discovers he requires immediate surgery.

In addition, Jennifer Beals will appear in at least three episodes beginning in late November. She’ll play a former call girl who used to date Constantine Alexander (William Forsythe) before he went to prison. She’s now married to a mafia boss who runs Chicago’s North Side.

The Mob Doctor returns to FOX on Monday, November 5th.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to seeing these episodes? Do you think FOX will cancel the show before they air?

I agreee with Jeremy. This is a great show and of course, the ones I like to watch and keep my attention, are going to be cancelled. Too bad. It was just getting good.

I absolutely love this show it is one of my favorites. I honestly think that Jordan’s spiro and James carpinello are great actors and I have loved zach gilford since Friday night lights. I really hope they don’t cancel it and actually give it a chance once people start hearing about it the ratings will get higher because after watching one episode you get hooked!

What?! Are you kiddin’ me. You already have one of the best actors on the planet in William Forsythe and now adding the fabulous talents of Michael Madsen in a role in which he absolutely thrives together with the eyecandy of Jennifer Beals and they are even entertaining the thought of cancelling?! Fuhgettaboutit!!! KEEP THIS SHOW!!

It just figures really, really great shows get low ratings and axed. Made in Jersey too, both excellent shows, but not gonna live up to everyone’s expectations. And I must say, this is a very excellent show coming from fox, they’ve had a lot of high budget and ‘Look at this’ kind of shows like terra nova, now they brought on this one that’s right up there with Lie to me, and I LOVED that show. I hope we get to see the rest of the episodes.
