ABC TV show The Neighbors ratingsIt’s got a crazy premise but The Neighbors has a great timeslot. Will it be cancelled because of low ratings or could it actually survive to see a second season? We shall see.

The first season of The Neighbors typically airs Wednesday nights at 8:30pm on the ABC network. The sitcom’s cast includes Lenny Venito, Jami Gertz, Clara Mamet, Max Charles, Isabella Cramp, Simon Templeman, Toks Olagundoye, Ian Patrick, and Tim Jo.

Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if The Neighbors is going to be cancelled or renewed for a second season.

UPDATE: It was initially reported that ABC had renewed this show but the series’ fate now looks uncertain.

Final season averages: 1.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.19 million total viewers.

1.5 in the demo (+7% change) with 5.52 million (+16% change).
Season averages: 1.86 in the demo with 6.19 million.

3.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.22 million total viewers.
Season averages: 3.20 in the demo with 9.22 million.

Compared to last season’s premiere of Happy Endings in the same timeslot, the network was up by 6% in the demo (vs a 3.1 rating) and up by 27% in viewership (vs 7.25 million).

Overall, The Neighbors did well for ABC but, based on the negative reviews and comments, one has to think that there’s a very good chance the numbers will take a serious nosedive in week two. We shall see.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Holy cow! This is the best new show to come along in a long, long while. It’s just gotten funnier and funnier with each passing week. And that finale! OMGosh! It *has* to come back. Please renew it for a second season ASAP! :)

Please, bring this show back for another season. Don’t take it off. It got low ratings cause you aired it on the wrong time and day. Put it on when there is not a popular show on. Put it on Thursday or Friday when there is noting on those nights but garbage. Love this show please bring it back. By putting this show on at the wrong time slot and day YOU NEVER GAVE IT A CHANCE TO GET TOP RATINGS That is not fair. Bring it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is clean and very funny Don’t take it off.

Living in the UK, I don’t always get some of the US TV and popular culture references, but saying that I love this show. It is funny, clever, creative and heart warming and I can watch it with my son. Please let it be renewed….

I loved every show…I would be very happy to see it’s return. I laughed, and shared the show’s news with co workers who now love it too.

My Family loves this show….I’m puzzled by the negative comments… I think it is very cleverly written, a witty humor, plus it has heart some very touching moments about family. The problem with TV today is everything has to be done in such a cookie cutter manor.
When a show comes along and tries something people don’t like it. Remember when The Middle debuted critics did not like it and look today it is still here and an awesome show.

Bring The Neighbors back. TV needs this fresh and quirky show!!!!!

At first I thought the show would be stupid and boring.. but Oh Was I WRONG!! Jamie Gertz and the whole cast of Neighbors is refreshing and funny!! I know if they stay on that it will begin to gather a new following.. Think Big Bang Theory!! Firefly

Sometimes it takes a bit for us to filter through the mess on TV to find a bright shiney coin but this one has so much fan potential… Keep it running and they will come!!!!! Don’t count out this crazy show yet… mark my words.. this is going to be big!!!

When I found this show, I felt so lucky. It should definitely be renewed. With more marketing and advertisements, it should do well next season if it gets renewed.
