The best series/movie that I EVER watched! This article is almost 4 years old.. Please, give us some sort of closure, any kind… It isn’t fair, this is not the way how you treat your fans!! And our favorite cast is getting older… It wouldn’t be the same without all of them….

Please resurrect a new series. We have as a family spent many fascinating hours following the exploits and adventures of JAROD. Once in a while a really good series hits our screens and with the exception of NCIS I rate this the best.

I just purchased the original four seasons on dvd. I also purchased the two movies. I always enjoyed the series.With all the reality series on TV now there is not much to watch. It would be nice to bring back the series and finalize Jarods quest to find out his true self.

Please bring it back, it was my favorite. I thought Michael was superb! It was a show that made people think. Never missed an episode. Then watched the reruns a ton of times. I hope the cast is all well. Bring back all the same people, it would not be the same without them. Plus Michael was not hard on the eyes!

As always its about ratings. not the gerenal public viewers, and cash.. if i win the euro millions i will try and fund a 2 hours film to finish off the series and not let us wonder linger, these directors could do it , but in most case’s find something else to .. thats life….

This was one of the best most entertaining and captivating shows I have ever seen. The story lines, dialogue, acting, cinematography dark conspiracies and humour made this a show that stood out. I am looking forward to sharing this amazing show (on DVD) with my kids one day and hope the producers give us fans an ending to this amazing tale.

While I would love to see the series continued(not rebooted), but I think Jarrod, Ms Parker, Sydney & poor Broots deserve a proper conclusion to their journey, whether it’s through a final series, tv movie, video game or even a graphic novel or book.

Steven Long Mitchell and Craig Van Sickle, please give us an ending one way or another and Thank you for sharing your vision with us.

I really would like to see the Television series The Pretender resurrected. My entire family was hooked particularly on Jarrod’s character. Micheal Weiss was born for that role and played it supremely. I realize that there were thoughts of making Jarrods character darker however, it was refreshing to see someone who came from such an abusive and secluded life surrounded by ,to turn the purpose of his life doing good even though there could be a massive temptation to be as evil as his captures. I think this may have been what made the show so appealing to all of us was the fact even though faced his own struggles he was a redemptive character who offered hope to all of us! Please bring the show back and complete the series even if the characters are a little older now!

Does Miss Parker ever truly understand that it was her “daddy” behind all of the deaths? It was cut to early…it deserves to have one more season, or a 3 hour movie!

I agree! im 22 and can’t remeber the original running of the series but recently began watching a few months back. i really didn’t think i would get hooked on a tv show from the 90′s so much considering how times have changed.. However this show is right up there with some of my favourites of this day and age: The Mentalist, Supernatural, Psych, Dexter… etc. i truly believe that a show would still be a hit today, i would really love for a new series or even a feature length movie conculsion to be released.

although i did love the show, storylines and characters.. one thing i REALLY do not agree on is the whole Jarod / Miss Parker combo.. no way in my mind do they ever belong together.. he’s kind hearted and soft and she’s.. well in a word.. a *****.. now i know opposites attract and all but there’s gotta be a limit! i liked the Jarod and Zoe pairing however and im surprised they didnt reference it in the two TV movies, considering she was in the final episode and all.

Hi, I watched all lot of them series and was not expecting it to end up just abruptly as it did, but maybe that is a trick to give the producers chance to come back to something (success tested) if in case their other endeavours refuse to work. I almost fell in love with Miss Parker’s character because she is the most emotional among them all – the more she plays “hardguy” the more she exposes her incapability of killing Jarod because while others wanted to get Jarod back to the Center to continue their dirty job on him, Miss Parker was longing to have Jarod only for herself but she pretended wanting either to bring him back to the center or have him killed. She never wanted to be portrayed as a wick person which she really is especially when it is a matter with Jarod. Such a woman would have been so much amusing in real life. Carying a gun and pointing it at someone she had never any intention to really hurt in the first place talkless of killing Jarod. Fine
I’d like to see more of it but if it is no more then it is OK. There are other emotional series out there to watch.

I like the stories about jarod. in 1997 I saw the first season in colombia but the transmition was ending. currently I am seeing the others season what I found in the web. I hope that the serie takes a new chance to return.

I am also one of the Pretender’s biggest fans. I watched the show on tv and bought the entire series on dvd’s. I just got the movies and would like it very much for the producers that Jarod and Miss Parker would end up together. They just fit together.
And please… provide us with all the answers … it was realy one of the best shows I have ever watched.

I pray the creators of the show finish this show in some way. I dont care if its a book or comic book. I just want to know how this ends. Like most I’ve been a fan ever since the show aired on NBC and have watched re-runs and eventually bought the DVD. Seriousely though the creators need to finish this. And if they never do then I will be one dissapointed fan and curse them for at least not giving us fans SOME type of conclusion!

This is the 3rd time I watch the whole series 1-4 and the movies. My 10 year old daughter just keeps on watching them. I enjoyed the series so much that I bought every season and the movies. It is so sad that there has not been a 3rd movie made, no matter what happens it would put closure. I truly beleive that Jarod & Ms. Parker are to be together and run the Centre for the good , to finish both their mothers work.

Now that Comcast owns NBC and that there is a new wind blowing, this may be the time to urge them to consider producing a season 5 of “The Pretender” . They have to know that it can be picked up cheap. It already has a fan base, it has new fans from the DVD sales, and it is past time that there should be a finish to the program. One season should do it, so there is no long term commitment needed. And best of all the show is in the same style as “Alias” and “Lost” , but with “Lost” in its final season there will be a big hole in this type of program on the air. NBC could step right in to that gap. Of course NBC would have to put up with the profit from the DVD sales for season 5 but I think they could handle that problem. I sure hope that someone is out there at NBC has the eyes to see that this is an opportunity that should not be missed.

Oh, c’mon! The end of the second movie (The Isle of the Haunted) didn’t look like the end of the story. So no matter what, you have to finish it. Otherwise, watching the series is nothing else, but a waste of time for the folks and a failure for you. Just like chessplay – mate is victory and stalemate is failure. You choose.

I would love to see this show brought back, I remember it was the action and shock value that attracted most to a show back then. The series got dropped when it seemed the shock value couldn’t get much better, but the movies show different though. The twists in the main story took you places you didn’t think they would go, still pinning for a 3rd movie.

If nothing else at least bring back the cast (although Harve Presnel (Mr. Parker) has passed away) and have a made for TV movie and finish off the story and answer the unanswered questions. Maybe SYFY would be interested in say a 6 episode mini-event capped off with a 3 hour finale. That would even provide sufficient material to be packaged for DVD sale as a cap off of the Pretender saga.

It’s a shame that NBC cancelled the show in favor of the XFL (Hey NBC how did that work for you? ) The show was innovative, fresh, and exciting. The characters were great , they meshed well together, and the storyline was creative.

If brought back I believe that the show will do well . By the way NBC, remember the show JAG? You cancelled it , it got picked up by another network and went on to enjoy years of viewing success. This could be a chance to redeem yourselves. Bring back The Pretender and who knows? Perhaps you’ll have a winner on your hands like Heroes, 30 Rock, and OMG Chuck!

Someone commission a straight to DVD Movie please this show needs to be started up again in someway, when watching the way Prison Break went towards the end I half expected Miss Parker, Sydney, Broots and Jarod (helping Scofield) to pop up in it and have something to do with Scylla and the Company actually being part of The Centre

I want more Pretender as well … if Futurama can get picked up again so can The Pretender surely

I love the Pretender!!!! I have all the DVDs and play them all the time. Please can we have more of Michael as Jarod he is fabulous in the part. We Fans have all been waiting for the answers to all the questions we have about Jarod’s family, Miss Parker’s family and the truth about the scrolls!!!
NBC should pick up the franchise again and run with it till the end!!!! I have been waiting for the movie where Jarod takes down the Triumvirate and the Center, but is able to save the children and of course Sidney, Broots, Angelo and Miss Parker. What if there was another “Center” in a different country??? …..and another escaped Pretender who could join forces with Jarod to stop the Center once and for all.
I really enjoy the intelligence and humor incorporated in the show I wish it had not been canceled and I hope you bring it back.

Here in the UK we are way behind the USA in TV programming, BUT I love the Pretender too. I have all the dvds and play them all the time. Please can we have more of Michael as Jarod he is brilliant in the part, we need more to answer all the questions we have about Jarod’s family and Ms Parkers, are they related in some way?? If not it would be great if they could get together.

I, like so many others love The Pretender. In fact, I loved the character Jarod so much that I named my first son after him. I have just ordered the complete series and movies so that I may share my absolutely favorite television show ever, with both of my sons. I hope the creators will make the finalmovie this year.
