Listen!!…I just started watching the riches on netflix a day ago..and I love it so much I spent all night watching episode after episode finally during watching episode 20 I decided to Google this Awasome show becuse I wanted to know why I havnt heard about this Awasome show, and come to find out it’s canceled!!!??…who would do something stupid like that..this show was not properly promoted cuz I just found out about it on Feb 4 2012 on Netflix..how crushing…smgdh…plz find some way to bring back this show

I agree with Ella. If they would have aired the Riches on HBO it would have continued. They should be ashamed; everyone was so wrapped up in this family, The Riches, then left us all hanging! Not knowing what happens to this family is the worst! FX is a huge disappointment for this!!!

I’m extremely upset D;
I fell in love with this show through Netflix. If only I had known sooner about this show and maybe if it was commercialized more, I don’t think it would’ve been canceled. Most of us are upset because there is nothing we can do about it now. The show is done with and maybe if we knew about this amazing show we could have done something to keep it on for a very long time.
P.S. I think if this show was on HBO and not FX it would still be on. Anyone agree or disagree?

I watched this show when it was on FX and LOVED LOVED LOVED it….but lost cable (too expensive) and thus missed out on the last season. Found it on Netflix and was instantly hooked again. I have always been an Eddie Izard fan and Minnie’s performances in this show were spectacular. I hate the fact that FX canceled the show leaving all of those unanswered questions. Who beat the hell out of Daryl? What happens to Cal? Does Wayne ever ‘come clean’?? Do they end up staying in Eden Falls?? What happens with the neighbor Nina??? (OMG>>I LOVED HER TOO) Too sad this story will probably never have an ending. One can only hope FX tries again to see if there is any renewed interest. Very sad and angry. I feel let down.

Like others, I watched/inhaled all episodes on Netflix. The show is/was fantastic! And I’m so disappointed to learn that there isn’t any more. Since it was canceled in 2008, I’m guessing the idea of a movie ended up in a circular file. Perhaps the problem was the network. With Golden Globe and Emmy nominations and an outstanding cast, who knows why ratings dropped. From my experience, and it appears that of others, the show was addictive!

I agree with the previous comments, i have great respect now for Minnie Driver and Eddie Izzard. The show is awesome. I really wish they make a conclusion to the series or a movie to end the story. Please make the fans happy!

I just discovered “The Riches” after doing a search for Dmitry Limpkin who also writes “Hung”. I rented both seasons on Netflix and am really bummed two years after it was cancelled that it was never completed!!! This Dmitry Limpkin is a genius and the cast, direction, production, casting etc. were all spot on in “The Riches”. Back when it was on I didn’t watch much TV, so it wasn’t on my radar at all. I watched all of season one and two over the weekend and am totally hooked. That was a unique and special coming together of characters and in a world where many of us feel overwhelmed with the economic downturn and disappointment in the job environment , forclosures, and all these people show us how to ‘fake it until you make it’. But with conscience. I loved the way Nina became a gypsy and the family adopted, and loved the dead Riches old grandmother. It was quite something. I laughed and cried alot and am grieving the missing 6 episodes.

That is one of the problems with how they rate these shows – most people I know wait for the season to come out on DVD then they watch them – many people just don’t have the time or the the right schedule to watch these shows when they air- so for so

Friggin A!!!!! Deadwood was excellent! The Riches are fantastic! Who are these big business idiots that keep killing these shows?! They have let The Tudors run on in seasons and I like it, but you cant tell me that it cost more to produce these shows than what they spend to recreate old England? You can’t run a show on one network for a season or two and expect a smash hit out of the box. Pulp Fiction didn’t do **** until it hit video! These people need to wake up and broaden thier economic thinking.

I thought this series was excellent…I LOVED IT! I watched it on NETFLIX and was sad when it ended without conclusion. I have new respect for both Minnie Driver and Eddie Izzard as actors…as well as all the supporting cast. It is a fascinating look into values, character, personalities, greed, love and respect. Havent see n anything this great since DEADWOOD.

I have only recently discovered the sheer brilliance FX has been putting out lately. much as it is the millions of idiots that watch “reality tv”, ‘s fault for this gem to b canceled it is my own to have missed it … alas we have more chances with sons of anarchy and justified, to enjoy telivision as an art form rather than the common crap peddled for “rateings” … out of 5 stars i give this show 110 and ive only just seen 4 episodes… i like what AMC is doing with breaking bad, weeds is also good… but as far as tv goes these gems are hard to find and im sad to have missed out on/ lost this one. guess FX has the movies … but has no good sense

This is BS!!! I started watching the show when it first aired and i was addicted, but because of school and the time it was on i was unable to watch all that often and completely missed season two, but thanks to netflix i am currently watching all the episodes. This was a great show with a great cast and a great plot, but of coarse it gets cancelled just like many good shows these days and with a cliffhanger non the less hopefully there will be a movie like Izzard started to promote.

the show was good but way to much untold truth between the wayne and dahlia. i got tired of watching them both just not even mention anything thing to one another even when there were bigger problems yet its a show… soo i understand that. also i just got so sick of dahlia shes bipolar a druggy selfish dumb i was tired of watching her be that way to the family and the only people who put her down were the kids. i wanted wayne to beat her and or she get killed off or go to jail. with that said the show got kind of lame with all the unsolved drama and everyones moodswings and dumb actions. if they are to try and continue the show… make it more serious in a sence to ware we viewers arent saying to ourselves cut the crap and do wat needs to be done. dont know i could go on and on with other stuff. just thought id put my thoughts in

I didn’t know what the show was. I saw advertisements for it on TV and always thought it was the old Richy-Rich cartoon made into a live action drama series. It still looked interesting, but I wasn’t able to get around to watching it.

Now it is on Hulu, so I decided to check it out and the show is brilliant! I couldn’t pay for it if I had to (not in this economy) but I really love the show and wish I could afford to pay for it. I don’t want to see the series end (although it already has).

It saddens me that poor advertising and bad time slots are killing tons of great shows! Firefly, Defying Gravity (Well, ok.. Defying gravity wasn’t great but it was above average!), The Riches, and many others! It’s like there’s all these great shows but no one knows they exist until they’re gone!

I think TV needs to change the way it does things. Each station can only show one show in a given time slot, and often stations put all their best shows on during the same time slots to compete with each other. People end up going with what they know, instead of trying what is new. Then if they stick it in a less popular time slot, people simply don’t know it is one or don’t watch it because they are at work or sleeping.

Hulu, DVRs, and On Demand are the only way to go these days I think.

In any case, I want to see more of The Riches! I hope we can drum up enough support to bring it back. I hope FX is able to bring it back if we do drum up the support!

A poor move to cancel a show that had so many great elements. Many plot twists and possible moral messages too. We liked it allot! It beat the stuffing out of cop shows and reality TV drech on the networks today. You may have polled the wrong demographic on its value. Still, I’ve got a channel switcher and DVD player and I use it.

FX is making a big mistake in removing the show,it had a great story! All it needed was more of a twist in drama..and it would have brought more people to watch..it sad to see it end like the way it did with no endind..but maybe another network will pick it up and add the drama it needs…im sure the show can make it if you had better writters and more drama..on another network like TNT…FOR SURE…THE RICHES IS NOT REALLY A FOXNETWORK KIND OF SHOW……

The first season was brilliant…so fresh and original. The writers just phoned it in in season two…even loyal fans were wondering WTF? It’s a shame…they destroyed a really good show. Not the first time FX had a good show then killed it… Remember “Thief” with Linda Hamilton and Andre Braugher? A great show with a multiracial ensemble cast that was really good but the moved it around so much that no one could find it!

Damn writers, why can’t you just be happy that you have such a sweet job. The second series was crap, you can see they weren’t putting in the effort in anymore. It wouldn’t have been cancelled if the second season was as good as the first one. Why don’t American TV writers put some effort into their job instead of just making it up as they go along. In England and Ireland people write a whole series at once so it retains some coherence. You should learn from them. Also stop misappropriating clever, original British TV shows and remaking them badly. Have some originality for ****’s sake.

I love this show, and Eddie Izzard….I can’t believe that it got canceled without even a wrap up episode. I’m going to write my own damn ending. The needed to promote it a lot better, and I am pretty aggravated that they won’t finish the series. I don’t even LIKE most shows on tv, and this is one that was original and awesome. FX started to show The Riches late at night and I watched the first episode..became addicted..and eventually downloaded all the episodes from TIVO. My god!! What an original series and what an interesting story and plot lines! Why is it the most creative and original programs always get cancelled????? The fact that it is an FX series and it’s cancelled really surprises me. FX is known for original shows and ideas. PLEASE reconsider bringing it back!!!!!!!!! I just finished watching season one and two.
This show is truly outstanding!
Its one of the few shows with cast members that not only know how to act,
but are exceptional at it!
I thought the whole plot was refreshingly unique
and quite frankly I’m extraordinarily disappointed, as others have stated before, that this incredible show couldn’t get a wide enough range of viewers while plenty of other programs much lesser in caliber have amassed gigantic audiances
The entire rich family was casted wonderfully and kudos to all the actors for sharing such memorable and high quality performances.

It is really sad that one of the best dramas on TV today can’t get an audience. I can’t understand how some of the crappy shows I see on TV while flying on Virgin Airlines or in the hotel rooms can continue to exist, when The Riches is not going to make it. So sad. Really sad.

I have been waiting hella long for them to bring back the show and now they are canceling the show after i got all my family in friends hooked and caught up on the show! they chose to cancel this show and bring back stupid ass show’s such as rescue me seriously!! FOX/FX must not really care about making money, cause i bet all the fans that have been waiting seems like for two years would probably be freaking excited that it was back on!!!

Whoever makes those kinds of decision’s really needs to get fired!

The show was great. I saw the 1st ep then couldn’t find it for a long time. I found it online and caught up only to find out the series is cancelled.

Apperently, who ever made the decision must think it is more economical to air rerun after rerun for an overly expensive amount (cable costs) rather than invest in the viewers who are interested in new, exciting, well written, well acted, perfectly matched cast.

Maybe we should all cancel Fx from our cable packages. Seriously what do we have to do to get new and interesting programing!?

The world didn’t end and everyone isn’t sleeping with everyone else and everyone isn’t so better than everyone else they are trying to stab in the back. No! this series is different.

When things are different than the norm you have to give it time to catch on. Also, did anyone give consideration to the fact that the writer’s strike may have been more at fault in the demise of the the third season.

Bring the writers and actors back and give us something that is not the same as everything else on t.v. (and not a rerun!)

Yep, another show cancelled by FOX/FX that was fantastic! I lived the entre life of the Malloy’s personally. Every detail, right down to the strung out ******-dressed wife Dahlia/Shareen. My wife got a $500k/yr job as a “realtor/deve;oper” based on cup size, and I was a fraudulent banker, with no education! My biography coming out is almost paralel! I was new to the show this year, and it is pathetic of FX to cancell this show. It was expertly directed and written. The character development was phenomenal. The acting was among the best ever put on television. I would do whatever i could to keep this show on TV. Unfortunately, FOX/FX is not in business to produce high calibre entertainment, it is only about making money. that’s hard to do with this show when even Izzard and Driver are not interested in returning.

I would love to see the rest of the episodes, no matter how they came out. The same thing happened with Carnival, but at least they tried to rap things up in the end.

This show was amazing and always kept me on my toes why would u cancel it such a shame to put such a good show down the drain…this show was really the only tv show i actually looked forward to watching.
