I really loved this show and miss it so much. Yes the movie would be awesome but please how can they not bring the show back to tv. FX really p****ed me off when they cancelled it because they continue to keep dumb shows like always sunny and the league yet when they have this fantastic show it gets cancelled after a short 2nd season and they leave us hanging. It just burns me that they have so much crap on tv but when something comes along that is great and different it gets cancelled so fast without giving the show a chance to grown and get a audiance. Hell Friday Night Lights was one of the best shows on tv and it took a while to gets a following before signing off. And i know its alittle different because it was a cartoon but fox cancelled family guy only to bring it back because of strong dvd sales and fans on the internet. Please Please Please bring back the show on a different network. I will be happy if a movie comes out but i want the show back.

Opened in FIVE theaters in the USA..ran for only a few weeks…got really bad reviews….but has become a LEGEND…it is so popular, a TV series is in the works!!! Now…FX…it can be done.

I too am STILL waiting on said movie! I feel let down…no…more like betrayed. I was addicted 3 years ago….watched every episode again on Netflix (cheaper than cable!!) and here I sit with what seems to be THOUSANDS (maybe even more!) of other folks (including some famous ones!!) wishing there was some closure to the Malloy Family. It’s really to bad that the Neilsen people have not figured out most people don’t watch TV. (tired of the commercials, life is more hectic so not everybody works 9-5 M-F anymore)…so the internet has become a staple in most’s lives and the actual television has gone to the way side for DVD watching and video games.
But, alas, maybe there still is a real possibility of a “Riches” movie coming out so that the fans can get those much needed answers to close the chapter on Eden Falls.

Here it is 2011, and I know it’s silly of me to have hope that a movie will be made 3-4 years after the show has been cancelled…. But I still hope. It is ridiculous that we are still going off of viewer tv ratings. They should be taking into account hulu, netflix, and plenty of other sources you can watch tv shows on the internet. Internet has taken our worlds by storm and soon, who will need cable? It’s unrealistic to count on viewer ratings from cable.

Like many others, I would like to see this come to a conclusion. It was great and I am thoroughly impressed, I think I could even settle for a writer sending me the conclusion in an e-mail, I just wanna know what happens!!

It kind of makes you feel screwed over by FX and others, they drop all of these bombs in the last episode only to say “oh, sorry, no more Riches, use your imagination.”

2011, and like any good fan, still hoping for a movie…

The Riches is definitely one of the best series I’ve ever watched. I just finished re-watching it for the third time and once again find myself scouring the internet for any sign of a movie being made or even better the show coming back on the air. It’s hard to describe the dissatisfaction I feel after finishing season two, regardless of how spectacular it is. I really wish someone would do something about it. I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who still feels this way.

The Riches series had to be one of the best that I have encountered in years. Raw production, a few absent minor details like the overly simple and out of place opening graphics. Only naming 2 of the 3 starring actors, etc. The acting however is top-notch, real and the character introductions making them ‘strangely likeable’ almost immediately. Mr. Izzards timing, script delivery and body language speak and he had me almost choking with each exciting episode. Canceling midway in season two, shame on FX. This series deserves a better conclusion with more series episodes, a movie or, even a book. I have to know more….

Where’s the rest? Now that we all can stream on netflix etc we are turned onto all Kinds of new series that there was no opportunity to watch previously. I loved the riches and am disappointed in its incompletion. The timing now is perfect to resell this series.

I am angry that you cancelled the Riches. I feel the writers strike had alot to do with the drop in ratings . This was one of the most clever shows I have ever watched….now I and alot of others are just left hanging. FX you suck.

I LOVED the show. Just because it took a little while for work of mouth to take hold doesn’t mean that it was a bad show. Seinfield took years to catch on. If it was cancelled before year three some of the most memorable stuff would have not taken place. It did not get going till the fourth year and on. I don’t go and see many movies in the theater, but I will go and see Eddy, Minnie and the whole cast the first week if it can be made in a movie. You can bank on that.

I don’t watch a lot of tv, but my boyfriend tries to find unique series that may interest me and that we can watch together. I usually end up wandering off to do something else by the first 10 minutes. Until he found The Riches… I was glued to the tv, never wanted to stop watching, we kept saying “lets just watch one more”, long after our usual bedtime. We were so disappointed when we found out there were no more episodes… and we were left with so many unanswered questions… We really really hope they do a movie or ever better another series! We don’t get FX, so we never watched it on tv and we’ve told so many people about it that don’t get FX either. Is there any way it could start up on a channel that more people get? That would be awesome… We love it so much!!! Please come back!!! At least give us an ending… We really need to start a petition to bring it back! I’m not that advanced when it comes to computers, so if there is anyone out there who knows how to go about making an online petition, please do so, I could get a lot of people to sign up. I’ll keep checking back. We LOVE The Riches!!!

It is an unfortunate but true fact that the networks etc. cater to the largest common factor when deciding to continue any series (Never underestimate the power of stupid [unsophisticated] people in large groups…) Generally speaking; smart, cleverly written and well acted shows seldom survive long in an audience craving the likes of ‘Tool Academy’ and Jerry Springer… We’ve been let down sooo many times it’s no small wonder why DVD’s and Movie theaters continue to do well even in a depressed economy. People get fed up and abandon regular programs in search of satisfaction. Sad though that the simple joy of looking forward to a great series and settling down with a bowl of popcorn in one’s own home is becoming more and more rare. I’m really disappointed with FX. They USED to be so cool. Now they just rerun like everybody else…

I have just discovered “The Riches” from a Recommended DVD Release column in the newspaper and am glued to the TV, can’t turn it off until I’ve gone on the next episode. It’s expertly crafted, acted, written, filmed, directed, unpredictable in plot develpment, everything any intelligent viewer seeks in a TV series and rarely finds any longer, even on PBS. The suspense equals that of a HItchcock thriller, the dark humor, the poignant, almost heart-breaking moments, all 4 star. Why in heaven’s name it was cancelled with dreadful “reality” shows and high violence series substituted only demonstrates the FX executive’s faulty reasoning that legitimate, first class theater on TV can’t possibly be worth continuing, pandering instead to the ever-lowering of standards to keep the general public infused with violence-especially towards women, gang warfare, soft porn, starlets whose every other word is “like” and who are more concerned about their hair, make-up, and bust sizes than any genuine human emotion, as entertainment. Please make the movie, please.

Bring back The Riches!! My wife and I are still withdrawing over its cancellation — we bought both seasons on dvd, but that’s just not going to cut it. How can you leave things hanging like this – fans have needs ya know – please all you ivorytower, tiewearing, glasswalled office dwelling execs – have mercy! The Riches was an amazing show! My friend told me to watch it for ages but I never have much time for TV since I started college. Got bored with studying and stumbed on it through hulu.com and fell in love with it. Watch every episode start to finish over the weekend. Couldnt believe it when I saw that it was cancelled. I’m glad they are coming out with a movie, but since each episode was about an hour long the movie will almost feel like an extended episode. hopefully the movie will get such great ticket sales that maybe the series can get revitalized.

I just found Season 1 in my library, and I was literally glued to my tv watching it. After it finished, I checked the library site to see if Season 2 was out yet, but it was not. So I was looking forward with great eagerness to see the rest of the show. Now I find out that’s all there is? Two seasons??? That’s a crying shame! It is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time, and it’s like offering a great meal, then taking it away after a few bites! My adrenaline was on full speed, and even though my eyes wanted to shut and go to sleep, I refused to give in until the discs were over. Minnie Driver is one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen, and Eddie Izzard kept me enthralled. I want to say: Nooooooooo! This always happens: find a great show, and just when you get really hung up on it, it’s taken off. Would someone get some sense, please?

If a movie is produced, I hope the same cast is in it.
the characters were complex and I loved seeing Dahlias’ rough ballsy side and by contrast her loving sentimental side and the strength in her character. And Eddie! my daughter turned me on to him and his comedy. wow, can he act. And I loved the little crossdresser spin off. I am very saddend by this cancellation. Huge loss and mistake by FX

It is true. I’ve never watched anything on FX and I didn’t find the show until last May when I saw it on iTunes. I watched most of the episodes on Hulu and the rest on iTunes. I watched both seasons in 2 days!! That’s how good it was. It was totally different and completely unpredictable. I was so compelled by it. My heart just sank when I heard it was cancelled. It’s such a shame. It was so original. It deserved another chance. If there’s a movie, I will definitely go see it. Although, I think they should just start the show up again. More people would watch this time. I got several people hooked after I discovered it! So all the people who watched it online or bought the dvds would definitely watch it on tv. Anyways, I really hope something happens with it! I would be so happy!
