The demo rose a bit this week to a 1.0 rating with 2.13 million. That was an increase of 11%. Because the rest of the network’s shows are doing so poorly, Secret Circle is CW’s second-highest rated show.

Episode 01-02: Thursday, 9/22/11:
Ouch! What a difference a week can make. After a positive premiere, Secret Circle ratings took a big dive in week two. The episode rated a 0.9 rating in the demo and 2.12 million viewers. That represents a loss of a whopping 31% in the all-important demographic. It’s certainly not good news. Will the numbers keep dropping?
Season average: 1.1 demo with 2.58 million.

Episode 01-01: Thursday, 9/15/11
Secret Circle debuted to a 1.3 in the 18-49 demographic and 3.05 million viewers. The series premiere held onto most of the audience from the Vampire Diaries lead-in and didn’t lose many viewers as the hour progressed. That’s positive and bodes well for next week. Though it didn’t have much competition, Secret Circle is The CW’s best series premiere of the season.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the The Secret Circle TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

Can’t believe this was canceled, a lot of people did not get into this show until it hit netflix but now it has a 5 out of 5 rating and everyone knows of the show and would watch it air on it’s regular channel.

I am beyond livid about the Secret Circle being cancelled. I am a 37 yo profressional with a husband, and I am extremely busy at work but all I could think about last week was the return of Vampire Diaries and the Secret Circle. I just knew TiVo was going to record them both and I could cuddle up to my shows but I was very, very disappointed. Who does these ratings to let them know that it didn’t have enough ratings? Why do they keep doing this to the lead actress in the secret Circle and the other show they cancelled! I was so happy that they finally had a good show about witches when there are so many shows about vampires and werewolves. Arrrrghhh!! Just when I was really excited about something new!

This was really a fascinating show and definitely kept me interested. Due to my schedule I miss a lot of shows/series on tv so I catch them on netflix. I was very disappointed that they opted to cancel this show along with some others. This was a remarkably well made series and some really good acting. The ending did leave you hanging and filled with excitement for the next season. I agree, bring it back!

Gosh i’m just too pissed off! who the HECK thought cancelling this show was a good idea? aparantly the specail effects were too much money but i think they didn’t need all those effects, also so many people were watching that show so someone in the higher ranks of showbiz pulled some BS on us… god they could have atleast ended the season NOT on a cliff hanger, and what’s with killing everyone? WTF, I mean seariosly… grrr!

I’m sooo mad that secret circle is cancled!! It is just soo rude cause the season finale was a cliffhanger!! Also cause there was soo much information left out like how did witch craft start, what’s gonna happen to Daina’s “dad”, are Cassie and Jake ever gonna be a couple, what about Adam and the skull? What’s he gonna do with it?? Also the balcion family, where is that gonna lead o and we still don’t exactly know what happened that night on the feiry ?? They have let soo many fans down and I, being one of them. I thought there was alot to go on for the second season more then what you guys think! sorry if this makes me look I’m crazy it’s just that every time a new episode aired my family and I would watch together.

You need only give this show a chance to build up a following, and you will have another mega-hit on your hands. The only other advice would be to change to opening song / sequence. It does not do the show justice.
